Emotionally Oblivious
Type: Trying to get the two idiots to admit they love each other/Part of Thomas AU
Ship: Loceit
It is Thursday night in the Sander's Mindpalace. Logan and Janus arrive at dinner on time and sit down as they wait for everyone to show up.
Logan pulls out a sudoku.
"Where did you find one of those? Remus eats all of mine and I can't ever find a new one," Janus says, looking over at the piece of paper.
"You actually know what this is?" Logan asks.
"No, of course not," Janus says, rolling his eyes.
Logan smiles a little bit.
"I have a whole closet full, you can have some," he says.
"Thanks," Janus says.
Janus pulls out his phone as Logan continues his sudoku. Fifteen minutes pass.
"So- uh- do you know where everyone is?" Janus asks.
"No, but I assume they will be arriving shortly," Logan says, not looking up.
After another ten minutes, they decide to eat.
"So," Janus says.
"What?" Logan asks.
"Nothing, it's just- kinda quiet," Janus says.
"I agree. The twins and Patton are going to do something stupid," Logan says.
"Well, it won't be sledding on the roof, I told them no last week," Janus says.
"Pardon?" Logan asks.
"They tried to go sledding on the roof," Janus says.
"But it is summer, sledding would be near impossible," Logan says.
"So they covered the roof is gasoline," Janus says.
"That is a severe fire hazard," Logan says.
Janus sighs.
"I know. Remus was about to set fire to them. And as much as I would love to see Roman burn, I told him no," he says.
Logan looks up at him.
"What do you think they're doing now?" he asks.
"Don't know, gave up caring," Janus says.
Logan smirks.
"Sounds delightful. I wish I could," he says.
He stands up, putting his dishes in the sink. When he goes up the stairs, he finds them blocked. He sighs and tries sinking out, but that doesn't work either. He tries sinking out into the real world.
"Oh, hey Logan. Should I be doing something?" Thomas asks.
"Yes, but that isn't why I'm here. The stairs are blocked and I'm trying to get past them," Logan says, sinking back down again.
He reappears in the living room again, much to his dismay. He lets out a groan.
"What is it?" Janus asks.
"The stairs are blocked, and I can't figure out a way to get back upstairs," Logan says.
"Oh. Well, we can just stay down here until someone breaks it," Janus says.
"Why can't we?" Logan asks.
"I doubt we can," Janus says.
Logan just throws his hands up in defeat. He has a tired expression as he sits down on the couch and turns on the TV.
"Animal planet? Can we watch the one with snakes?" Janus asks.
"Sure. Are there things you still don't know about them? Because if so, I do know a lot and would be happy to inform you," Logan says.
Janus really just likes watching the snakes be cute, but Logan looks so excited that he nods.
---
A few hours pass, and Roman barrels down the stairs.
"Oh sorry, was I interrupting something?" he asks, seeing Janus and Logan sitting together.
Logan jumps up.
"Roman, is that really what is concerning you right now? You just fell down the stairs!" he shouts.
"Eh. I'll go. Don't tell Pat," Roman says, sinking out.
Logan and Janus look at each other before Logan sits back down. Unconsciously, Janus puts his arm around Logan's shoulder.
"I ship itttttt," Remus whispers, popping up from behind the couch.
"What are you shipping?" Logan asks.
Janus sticks out his tongue, hissing.
Remus giggles as he sinks back down.
Logan and Janus look at each other.
"What did he mean?" Logan asks.
"I have no idea," Janus says.
They sit together, continuing to watch TV.
"Well, as it seems the stairs are open again, I will get going. I have work to do," Logan says, standing up.
"As self-preservation, I am going to say that you've worked enough and deserve a night off," Janus says, pulling him back down.
"No, Thomas has work to do," Logan insists.
"And how will you get it done if you're too tired and dehydrated to do anything?" Janus counters, forcing Logan to sit again.
Logan sighs.
"I suppose you are right, but I am not making this a habit," he says.
"We'll see," Janus smirks.
---
Eventually, close to midnight, Logan dozes off and Janus carries him to his room.
"'Night, nerd," he says, even though Logan can't hear him.
Janus goes back to the other side of the Mindpalace, where Remus is waiting for him.
"So. Are you two dating yet?" Remus asks.
Janus trips over himself.
"What? No! I don't- I don't like him in that way," he says.
"And there isn't a knife up my butt, sure," Remus says, rolling his eyes.
"You what?!" Janus shouts.
"Did I stutter? Anyway, for the embodiment of lying, you need to get better at it. And also hang out with Logan Saturday night at 8 PM," Remus says.
"Wha- I-" Janus stammers.
"Goodnight! Don't let the fear of the entire world crumbling into ash keep you up!" Remus says, going up to his room.
---
Saturday night. Roman bursts into Logan's room picks him up and rushes down the stairs.
"WHAT THE HELL ROMAN?!" Logan shouts.
"Alright, it's been unbearable watching. You are staying here with Janus until one of you mans up and says it," Roman says.
"PATTON! VIRGIL! I AM BEING ASSAULTED!" Logan shouts.
"YOU DESERVE IT!" Virgil shouts.
"I KNOW AND I TOLD ROMAN NOT TO HURT YOU!" Patton shouts.
Logan kicks Roman in the shin, but Roman forces him to sit down.
"Alright. See ya!" Roman says, sinking out.
"Wait- what am I admitting?" Logan asks.
But it's too late. Roman already sank out, leaving Logan confused. He just sits on the couch and pulls out a book, as he has nothing else to do.
Soon, Janus appears, hissing at Remus, and the same event occurs.
After Remus leaves, Janus and Logan look at each other.
"I guess we are stuck here for some un-clarified purpose," Logan says.
"Yessss, and I do appreciate Remus for biting my ankle," Janus says.
"I can look at it to make sure it's not infected," Logan offers.
"Knowing Remus, I will take you up on that offer," Janus says.
---
Hours pass and the house grows cold. So in order to keep Janus warm, as he is cold-blooded, Logan snuggles with him. There's only one blanket anyway. It is 100% just for warmth.
---
In the morning, Janus and Logan find the stairs still blocked. There's no way to get out of the living room.
Soon, everyone else sinks up in the kitchen.
"Morning kiddos! Sleep well?" Patton asks.
"No, the couch has terrible back support," Logan says.
"And it is freezing down here," Janus adds.
"Aw, did you guys cuddle then?" Patton asks.
"....no," Janus says.
"They did," Virgil says, sinking up and sitting on the counter.
"How- how did you know?" Logan asks.
"Because you just admitted it. But you still won't admit you're in love with Janus," Virgil says.
"I am not!" Logan says.
"Well, Jan Jan is with you," Remus says.
"Lies," Janus says.
"Please, I can sense romance. You two are perfect for each other," Roman says.
"You really are, kiddos," Patton says.
"Just say it already," Virgil says.
Logan and Janus both feel their tempers rising, as the others continue to pressure them.
"I DON'T LOVE HIM!" they both shout eventually.
Everyone looks at them, dead silent.
"Ok, usually you two are the ones to say 'lies' or 'falsehood', but since both you you are lying, I'm just gonna say it," Roman says.
He clears his throat.
"FALSEHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD,"
"FALSEHOOD!" Logan screeches.
"I am going to take him before they just start shouting 'falsehood' at each other," Janus says.
The others nod, so Janus grabs Logan's hand and sinks out. They reappear in Logan's room.
"I think we both know we were lying," Janus says.
"Wha- but I- I literally don't have emotions!" Logan protests.
"Lie," Janus says.
He grabs Logan and pulls him in for a kiss.
"Ok, maybe I do like you," Logan admits, his face bright red.
Janus smirks.
"Maybe I do too," he says.
This took me way too long. But I still need to update this and I haven't done Loceit yet. Requests are still open, peace out my peeps!
