Y/N POV

I shielded my eyes from the setting sun and placed a hand on my hip as I looked out over the sparkling lake, solely because that's what you do when you go camping. Enjolras and I had just finished pitching the tent which was honestly less work than I was expecting. In cartoons they make it look like pitching a tent is the hardest thing you could ever do in your life, but it was actually pretty easy. Maybe it was just Enjolras being his perfect self that made it easy.

I noticed Bahorel sitting over beside the lake, gliding his fingers through the water and smiling. I couldn't help but smile too as I made my way over. I sat down next to him. "Whatcha doing?"

Bahorel finally tore his eyes off of the horizon and looked over at me, his face breaking into an involuntary smile. "Watching nature."

"You dork," I teased.

My boyfriend stuck out his tongue before grabbing me abruptly by the hand and pulling me up with him. He secured an arm around my waist. "How about we have a little stone skipping contest?"

"Stone skipping?" Bahorel nodded and I slowly slipped out of his arms. "Well, sorry, but I don't know how to skip a stone."

"Seriously?"

I shook my head. "Nope," I stated, popping the "P".

"Well, then, I'll just have to teach you." He quickly bent down and grabbed two smooth stones from the shoreline. He handed one to me, which I took before raising an eyebrow.

"I'm warning you, I'm not gonna be good."

"You'll be fine," he assured, stepping behind me and resting his chin in the crook of my neck to see better from my perspective. We'd been dating for about two months, but every time it still made my heart skip a beat. He gently grabbed my wrist with his left hand and placed his right on my waist. He used his right hand to guide my body so that I was standing with my right foot back.

I felt his breath on my cheek, making it pretty hard to focus. My face turned red and he spoke, "Now, bend your elbow." I did as I was told. "You're gonna wanna throw it sideways like a frisbee." I shifted my hand so it was at a sideways angle.

"Alright, now throw." I threw the stone with all my might, and although it did go far, it splashed once in the lake and I let out a sigh of defeat.

"That's alright," Bahorel reassured. "Do it again." This time, he watched from the side and gave me pointers. I threw a few more rocks in a similar fashion, all of which made a "plop" sound and sunk into the depths of the lake.

As Bahorel went to go find another smooth rock, I slouched my shoulders. "I told you I was a lost cause," I reminded him.

"Hush," he scolded, bringing me a smooth, brown rock. "Give it one more go."

"Fine, but after this one, I'm done." He nodded silently and I hesitantly took the rock from him.

As I reared back my throwing arm, he pecked me quickly on the cheek. When I shot a curious glance his way, he simply said, "For good luck." Smiling softly at his superstitious ways, I threw the rock in a sideways motion.

To my surprise, it skipped smoothly three times across the glimmering surface of the water before sinking below the small waves. I watched the miniscule ripples my skips made stir the water, grinning.

Bahorel locked his arms around my waist and hoisted me up. Sometimes, his exceeding strength often caught me off guard, and this was one of those times. I let out a small yelp which quickly dissolved into giggles.

"You did it!" he said, beaming at me as he set me down.

"Maybe you are a good luck charm after all," I teased.
