Summer's POV

"Okay so what happened after the first great war?" (Y/N) groans and puts his head down on the bed.

"I don't know a lot of stuff." I sigh a little in frustration.

"Okay let's be more specific. What measures did the kingdoms take to try and prevent another great war from happening." (Y/N) moans again.

"How should I know?" Rolling my eyes I respond.

"Well maybe if you read the book like we are supposed to then you would know."

"And why the heck should I do that? The book is so boring."

"What do you mean its boring? It talks about the history of our world and holds thousands of years worth of knowledge in it. That doesn't interest you in the slightest?" He rolls over on his back and shakes his head.

"No, I don't. Why should I care about stuff that happened so long ago? It doesn't affect me." Groaning I close my book and hit my head with it.

"Gosh dang it (Y/N)."

"What? It's the truth. The truth shant me withheld Summer!" (Y/N) dramatically shouts before grabbing his twin glaives (W/1) and (W/2). He starts to play with them as I stop hitting myself.

"But (Y/N) of course this stuff affects you." He rests his arms and weapons on his chest as he looks at me.

"Oh come on you expect me to believe that?" I nod. "Okay, how do this stuff affect me?"

"Well for starters the current schism between the faunus and humans is still going on and one of the first ways we can end it is by learning how all this started. That way we may have hints on how to end it." He looks a little confused before relaxing a bit.

"I can see that." I smile a little. Now I've got him.

"Plus learning the past of the faunus despite being human is a good way to show that they are our equals." (Y/N) nods a little in agreement. "Also if we look back on our past mistakes that we have made in our own lives then we can learn from them and better ourselves. Who's to say that we can not apply that logic to a larger scale?" He cocks an eyebrow.

"Large-scale?"

"I mean history (Y/N)."

"Oh."

"So do you understand why this is important for us as future hunters to know about the past?" He sighs in defeat.

"Yeah I guess when you put it that way this stuff is important. Doesn't mean I like it." I huff and pout for a little bit. Then I realize that he did admit that I was right so that does count as a sorta win for me. I smile at that thought. Hey, I will take what I can get.

"So since you at least admit it's important can we get back to studying? The quicker we do this the quicker we can stop." He sighs again.

"Alright but it doesn't change how boring it will be." Hmm, maybe I can figure something out to make him more interested in studying. If only this was exclusively about Grimm then (Y/N) would be into this for sure. Oh, I got it!

"(Y/N)?" He reluctantly moves back to the book.

"What?"

"Once we are done we can go on a date~." He perks up. "And whenever you answer a question right and for every few minutes you don't complain I'll give you a kiss~." He instantly gets to studying and I can't help but giggle at his newfound excitement but hey whatever works I guess.
