{ John's POV }

Currently I am on tour with The 1975 in America. We've had a great time so far, playing shows and exploring the sights around us with our limited time.

Today, the lads and I were going to the top of a large building which had a floor made out of a hard metal with holes in it so you could see through to the bottom. Me, being terrified of heights, tried to avoid going with them but Ross insisted.

When he looked at me with those puppy dog eyes and that small pout adorning his lips, how could I refuse? Ross was simply too adorable to resist if I'm being honest here. All he had to do was look over at me and I was agreeing to go.

Ross pushed me into my bunk after we got back from a small cafe down the road and threw clothes at me. I looked at the articles of clothing to see my black jeans and a simple white shirt. Ross did seem to like the minimalist approach to things. I laughed at Ross as he bounced around outside my bunk.

" Shu' up and get dressed!!! " Ross whined as I laughed at his overexcited nature.

" Okay okay, love " I chuckled as I began to get dressed.

I stepped out of the bunk and was instantly pulled towards the rest of our group. Ross made me put shoes on and we were out the door. On the walk towards the  building, Ross was running around and grinning wildly, practically skipping around.

I tried to hold back my laughter but couldn't contain it when Ross started making funny face's at Adam's back. I began giggling, causing Adam to turn around. The confused look on his face forced my giggles to become full on laughter as Ross smirked and continued to make faces when Adam turned, hiding his blushing cheeks.

Ross eventually calmed slightly, taking my hand as we walked and exploring the world with his eyes. The corners of my lips turned up as the precious man gazed at everything with an awestruck look. We finally approached the building and my heart dropped. It was the tallest building in this city and that was obvious.

We all went inside and stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the 27th floor. The suspense of waiting for the elevator to reach the top was killing me. We stepped out of the elevator and everyone instantly waltzed on over to the see through part of the floor which hung over the rest of the building.

The boys all jumped around and laughed while I stood on the solid and not see through floor. Matty got out his phone and began to record me. I pouted slightly but that quickly turned to a grin as Ross came over.

" Give me your 'and " Ross murmured softly.

I held  my hand out to the grinning boy and let him pull me out to the other part of the flooring. I groaned as he let go of my hand. I covered my mouth and closed my eyes as the boys laughed and snickered.

" Look down! " Ross said excitedly.

" Look down?! " I repeated worriedly.

I opened my eyes and looked down, gasping and shaking my head. The height made me feel queasy.

" Fuck this, " I murmured, moving back to the solid flooring while the boys laughed.

Ross came over to me as Matty finished recording and put his arms around me. I leaned into his touch and smiled slightly.

" Let's go to the bottom floor yeah? " Ross murmured in my ear pushing a shudder out of me.

I nodded and we went to the elevator. We pressed the first floor button and leaned against each other, waiting for the metal death trap to approach the bottom. Ross held me close and nuzzled into my neck.

" I love you John.. " He murmured softly in my ear, saying the words I had heard many  times from the little squishy man.

" I love you too Ross, " I said back.

He grinned, pressing his lips to mine quickly before we escaped the elevator and continued to explore the city together, nothing but our own fears stopping us.
