2. Bishamon and Kazuma
A/N: I've got the requests that've come in now, all written down.
I'll start work on them soon.
For now, though, I'll just give you some other one-shots...
I hope you like this...
Kazuma and Bishamon
One-Shot 2
Bishamon strolled down the long corridor leading to her office.
She'd slept in that morning and was wondering why Kazuma hadn't awoken her.
Letting a hand massage a thick tuft of her long, golden hair, the war god yawned.
Her flowing robe trailing behind her, Bishamon finally reached the tall doors of her office.
She slid in through the partly opened gap to see her brown-haired Regalia, thrown over his desk, writing furiously.
Bishamon smiled.
Kazuma hadn't even seen her enter.
Crossing the room, she stopped in front of him and waited for the Regalia to look up.
Kazuma sighed, eyes still on the sheets of paperwork in front of him, "Veena, I'd appreciate if you dressed appropriately before coming into your office when others are around."
Bishamon glanced down at her low-cut night gown with it's fabric hiking up her legs.
She pulled at her transparent dressing gown with an angry blush spreading across her face, "It's my office, Kazuma, and you're my Regalia. This should be fine."
There was a flicker of emotion in the serious man's eyes before he nodded, not looking up as he turned a sheet of paper over, "I suppose."
Bishamon stared down at him, hands still wrapped around her waist, "Why wasn't I woken up? And why are you so early to work?"
Kazuma finally looked up with a small smile, "You were too tired, Veena. You wouldn't wake up."
Bishamon frowned, "That doesn't sound like me."
A sharp sting at her neck caused her to flinch before she glanced at the Regalia who had averted his eyes.
"Kazuma," The master's tone was a little formal, causing the man in glasses to look up quickly, "I will join you once I'm dressed."
Kazuma swallowed before nodding.
Why?
Bishamon threw on a casual shirt over her jeans as she thought, her expression stern and distressed.
Why would Kazuma lie to her?
Kazuma never would.
Her health and wellbeing was the heaviest on his mind at all times.
The man was far too intelligent to not know when his master would be stung and when she wouldn't.
The war god knew that it wasn't any of the other Regalia who had stung her then.
It was Kazuma.
The bond she shared with him was the leading force of her entire staff and it was the trust they had in each other that enabled all of her Regalia to work with her in harmony.
Why would someone as gentle and caring as Kazuma lie so blatantly? And about her morning routine no less.
"My lady."
Bishamon looked up at Kuraha, her trusted Shinki, as he stood by the door.
Casting him a warm smile, the beautiful woman walked over to where the man waited, "What is it, Kuraha?"
"Well," The old man chuckled to himself before giving her a sad smile, "Yato, Yukine and Hiyori have come to visit... Daikoku and Lady Kofuku have come along as well."
Bishamon groaned, her hair spraying over her shoulders as her face showed displeasure.
Kofuku, Daikoku, Hiyori and Yukine were alright. But why Yato?
Why the other warrior known to be a loud mouth and a pain?
Kuraha waited, amusement written on his old face.
Bishamon sighed, "Alright. Let them know that I'll be down in a minute."
"As you please, my lady."
The lovely woman turned away from the bowing man and hurried to the office doors.
She needed a word with her advisor.
Nothing would let Bishamon stay calm or feel safe unless she had her trusted advisor back to his usual self.
She would storm his defenses and shake him out if she had to.
There was no way she was letting Kazuma try anything alone again.
She'd almost lost him once before and the thought of losing him again pained her.
It was probably some rather silly reason that kept the seriously disciplined Regalia away from being his normal self.
She would find out what it was and shake him down to his normal, charmingly attractive self.
The last thought made Bishamon blush slightly as she hurried to the office, wanting to see Kazuma.
There were a couple more stings and the war god half-sighed, half-growled under her breath, wondering what the devoted man was drowning his conscience in.
Kazuma sighed, unbuttoning his collar and settling back into his chair.
His dress shoes didn't help at all as he tried to get comfortable in the low chair, stacks of completed paperwork lining his desk to the right.
He should not have let himself enter his lady's room that early in the morning.
Seeing her peacefully asleep had made him smile. A few golden locks of hair had framed her face, the rest of her tresses sprayed across the soft pillows supporting her head. Her pink lips had stayed slightly parted, her breathing soft and steady.
Looking back, the Head Regalia realized that what he had done was quite an innocent task.
His duties always began with waking his master up for the day ahead.
That day, though, incidents had occured differently from the usual.
Watching her for a few minutes, the man had walked over to wake her up when Bishamon had begun to toss around in bed on her own.
A few sounds left her lips as she frowned from time to time.
The Regalia had knelt by the side of her bed, reaching with one hand to touch her shoulder when he'd heard her call his name.
It had been soft at first but then the name had started being called repeatedly with sudden bursts of giggling and pauses.
Kazuma could only raise an eyebrow, "Veena? Veena, wake up. It's time to get up, Veena. We have a lot to do today."
"Mmm," Bishamon had smiled to herself, listening to his voice.
The Regalia had sighed before inching closer to her bed.
He had pushed up the large glasses he wore, ready to call to her again when she'd mumbled the next few words.
Bishamon asking him out in the most flirtatious whisper he'd ever heard.
Sitting in her office now, Kazuma let his hand cover his face as a blush dusted his cheeks, his other hand holding his glasses.
He'd gaped, blinked, blushed profusely and then run out of the room like a loser.
He felt even dumber for having lied to her, obviously upsetting the trusting person that she was.
It wasn't that he hadn't liked what he'd heard.
Almost all the Regalia knew, at this point, how much of a crush he had on Bishamon. She probably knew as well but had never really addressed it.
Whether Bishamon was serious or not, the fact that she would consider him a soul-mate did weird things to the usually well-disciplined man.
There was a loud noise and Kazuma looked up, not bothering with his glasses, as his master stood at the door, beautiful as ever, a stern look of dipleasure on her face.
Bishamon glared at her subordinate.
The man didn't bother to look afraid at her entrance, choosing instead to shift his glasses toward his face, slowly, "What's the matter, Veena? I'm guessing Yato's here."
Bishamon's heels made little noise on the carpetted floor as she finally reached him, "You've stung me too many times already, mister. Care to explain, Kazuma?"
The Regalia turned pale.
"A-Are you alright?"
"Fine. I wish you'd spit out what you're thinking. The last thing I want is to lose you again, Kazuma."
Kazuma blinked before putting on his glasses, turning to give her a look that made her heart flip.
He could look rather stern and kind at the same time and that had always made Bishamon stare a little longer at him.
"Veena," Kazuma straightened in his seat before sighing, "It's nothing serious."
"Then tell me."
Bishamon watched as the Regalia struggled with his words and her face softened.
She reached out with one slender hand to tip his chin up so that their eyes met, "I'm listening. I won't get angry."
A nervous laugh left Kazuma's lips causing Bishamon to raise both eyebrows.
"Well," The Head Regalia swallowed before a certain hint of amusement touched his lips, "I've always liked you, Veena."
Bishamon froze, hand still on his face, as the Regalia slowly smirked, knowing that a wide range of emotions was displaying on her face at that moment.
"I know."
Kazuma nodded before rising from his chair, his hand catching her arm, "And lately, I feel like you've been feeling the same way about me."
Bishamon swallowed.
The corners of Kazuma's mouth twitched with amusement but he wouldn't dare laugh and Bishamon knew that.
"It's just," Kazuma began to speak, "I happened to hear you talking in your sleep..."
Bishamon's cheeks began to dust pink.
"... I believe you asked me out... And I wasn't sure what I should do..."
Bishamon blushed further.
"... And well," Kazuma laughed, a little nervously as he played with a button on his shirt absent-mindedly, "I couldn't help but feel a little... happy about it. I- I'm sorry, Veena."
Bishamon whimpered, causing Kazuma to turn to her in absolute shock.
The lovely woman buried her flushed face in her hands, shifting away from him, "I'm such a silly master..."
Kazuma smiled, making his way over to the pretty girl.
Sliding a gentle hand around her waist, he let her lean into him, head burying into his neck.
"You're a fine master."
Bishamon sighed into him before placing her hands on his chest, "So, will you go out with me, Kazuma?"
There was a moment of silence when the Head Regalia lost his ability to think.
It didn't help matters at all when Bishamon began to play with his tie.
"W-Well, I..." He swallowed once, her golden hair tickling his ear, "Yes. Yes, I will."
There was a soft silence after, with Bishamon shifting deeper into him, letting her actions wreck havoc in his brain.
A few seconds passed as they embraced and Kazuma smiled kindly down at the gorgeous war god.
He would take care of her and keep her safe.
Being her trustworthy Regalia and best friend would always make him her perfect soul-mate.
Stroking her hair, he bent to kiss her head before he caught sight of a hiding few behind the door.
"Veena," He whispered softly in her ear, causing her to shiver, "There are a few... friends by the door."
Bishamon's cheeks dusted pink, "Kuraha is with them, isn't he?"
Kazuma nodded, smiling slowly, in response to Bishamon's husky tone, "Yes. I believe one og them has a camera."
"Take me out later, Kazuma."
Kazuma let her escape his embrace, a small smile working into his face as she watched her storm toward the door and the hiding souls who were about to die.
