"Another dress?" I state as I hold my arms out farther, only for Lydia to add yet another to the pile of seven in my arms. "How many do you need?"

Lydia turns and gives me a snappy look. "This is Prom, Corey. I have to look stunning the moment I walk through the door."

I raise my eyebrow at her. "But you already look stunning, Lydia."

Lydia's faces flushes as her cheeks turn red. I thought she was about to reply with either "you're just saying that to sucker me up" or something along the lines of "I still have to find the perfect dress", but instead a figure comes running up behind her, almost scaring her and I both to death.

It was only Stiles. "Having fun dress shopping, Corey?"

I quickly glare at him as Lydia turns around to face him, raising a manicured nail in his face. "Says the one who's dress shopping with Allison."

Stiles raises his eyebrows. "Fair, but at least she doesn't try on thousands of dresses."

"That's why I'm here," Lydia grins ear to ear, revealing that bright smile that made me fall in love with her in the first place. "Allison has always needed fashion advice."

Stiles rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Anyways, I came over here to tell you that dad said to be home by eleven tonight, Corey."

I groan at this, remembering him telling me midnight this morning I could have sworn. "But I'm going to Lydia's-"

"Take it up with him, not me," Stiles says, raising his hands as he backed away. "Now if you don't mind, I need to return to my girl."

Stiles turns and walks away as I sigh, a little mad that Stilinski changed my curfew. I was a senior for crying out loud; you'd think he'd let me stay out longer than a freshman.

Lydia grins as she turns back and faces me. "They really are adorable."

"Yeah," I fade off, knowing that she was right, but I didn't really feel like talking about it. In all honesty, I wanted to get this dress shopping over with so I could go over to Lydia's. "Are you at least ready to start trying on things?"

Lydia stares at the pile of dresses in my hands before nodding her head, her strawberry blonde locks bouncing on her shoulders. "I think so; I think the dressing room is over here."

Lydia turns and leads the way as I follow close behind, but far enough at a distance to where I could still see her butt over the stack of dresses in my hands. She must have noticed this because she's soon looking over her shoulder, raising her eyebrow at me in a flirty type of way.

"Eyes to yourself, ghost boy," she smirks at me before turning back around, trotting in her high heals. Of course I didn't listen to her, only laughed. She turns the corner before stopping in front of a long line of rooms, taking the dresses from my hands before marching into one of them.

I sigh as I sit down in one of the lounge chairs outside the dressing rooms, letting my mind drift like it always did. First thing that came to me was the change in my last name. I was actually a Stilinski now; since John adopted me. I still don't know what possessed him to do so, but I'm glad it happened. I missed my parents like hell every day, but it wasn't like I stayed out of their lives totally. I checked up on them frequently, making sure they were all okay. I would tell them about me, but they wouldn't understand. Furthermore, I don't want to drag them into all of this. They were safe far away from here, and no way did I want to put them in danger.

The other thing that came across my mind was, of course, Lydia. We've been dating now for three years, which have been the greatest three years in my life. She was the strongest person I've ever met, and that's saying a lot from someone who knows a lot of werewolves. She was the hope and light I needed in my life, and if I wouldn't have met her that night I wrecked my car, I don't know what I would have done. I sure as hell would still be dead right now, but maybe that would have put me out of my misery from shopping.

"Okay first one," I hear her voice say behind the door before it's swinging open, revealing Lydia in a gorgeous pale pink dress. My eyebrows raise as my heart picks up the pace, noting all of the features it showed on Lydia. First there were the boobs, then the curves, then, of course, the color made her eyes pop. Her legs looked great in it as well, but after I observed all of this, I could tell that I took too long to speak my thoughts.

"It's terrible, isn't it?" Lydia says, staring down at herself. I stand from my seat as I shake my head, wanting to tell her how beautiful she looked.

"You look amazing, Lydia," I say, still baffled by her beauty. "You don't even need to try on those others; this is the one. I know it is."

Lydia smiles at me, making bubbles fill my stomach. "Really?"

"Of course," I say as I walk up to her, placing my hands on her hips as she looked up into my eyes. "You'll be having everyone at that dance dropping like flies after they see you."

She laughs at this, making me feel like the happiest guy in the world. She stands up on the tip of her toes as she places a kiss on my lips, resting her hands around my neck. My hands trail up her sides as they entangle with her hair, loving every moment of being with her. Her lips tasted like sweet vanilla and cherry, making me forget where we even were and everything terrible that has ever happened to either of us. She made me forget who I was.

"Get a room," I hear Stiles say as I pull away from Lydia, seeing him standing there with Allison at his side. I laugh at him as Allison grins, staring at her best friend.

I snap back a reply. "Says you; you're not the one who had to watch you two make out in our bedroom."

Stiles raises his eyebrows. "It could have been a lot worse. Plus, you could have easily slept on the couch-"

"Oh just shut up," Allison laughs before leaning over and kissing Stiles, shutting him up for us. I roll my eyes slightly as I laugh at them, more than happy to see Stiles happy. He deserved a girl like Allison. But as I looked down at Lydia and over the at Stiles and Allison, there was only one thought that came to my mind; a thought that brought me hope.

Maybe everything would be okay after all.
