Romantic!Shisui Uchiha x Shinasui Hatake
In this one-shot, Shinasui and Konohamaru are ONLY just teammates.
"Itachi! Wait up will ya!" Itachi turned to see Shisui running to catch up to the long haired Uchiha, the former walking with his daughter. Itachi had a soft smile on his face his daughter looking at Shisui with a raised eyebrow. The group of Uchihas were walking in Konoha Park, the father and daughter taking the day off to spend some quality time together before Itachi's wife gives birth in a few weeks.
"Daddy who's that?" Mikoto asked. Itachi placed a hand on the back of her head, lightly stroking her hair.
"My best friend. He was also a student of Lady Hokage." Mikoto had stars in her eyes when she saw Shisui's happy face, the sharp eyed Uchiha running fingers through his curly black hair.
"Wow he must be very strong!" Itachi chuckled lightly, incredibly happy his friend was brought back into the world after the samurai war. It was like a dark weight was taken off of Itachi's shoulders. If he couldn't have his family back, Shisui was the next best thing.
"Quick would be a better adjective." Shisui finally caught up to the father and his daughter. At first, when he was readjusting to this future, he was so surprised to see Itachi had grown up to have a loving family of his own. Shisui met Itachi's wife once and absolutely adored her. Although Shisui didn't come to seek Itachi for a friendly chat about his family, he sought for advice about the Hokage's daughter.
"How are you today Shisui? Have you met my daughter? This is Mikoto. Mikoto say hello." Itachi softly spoke. Mikoto was a wild child like her Uncle used to be, but was still shy like Itachi was when he was young. She was timid and hugged behind Itachi's leg, her straight plum hair stopped short at her shoulders.
"H-hi..." She said softly. Itachi chuckled while scratching his silk onyx hair.
"She's usually more talkative than this..." Itachi stated with a small smile. Shisui knelt on the ground and gave the little girl a big grin.
"Hi Mikoto! My my...you look a lot like Itachi's mom! That's for sure!"
"I agree." Itachi stated. The tall Uchiha looked over at his friend that he hasn't seen in twenty years, the nineteen year old Shisui was as strong and as youthful as ever, eager to learn about the world after he died. Most of all, he was eager to get to know a silver haired kunoichi that caught his eye the moment he was brought back.
"So uh...Itachi I need to ask you a few things." Itachi raised an eyebrow over his black eyes, the Uchiha turning to his confused daughter.
"Mikoto...how about you pick some flowers for a bit while I talk to Shisui?" Mikoto instantly beamed in happiness, her obsidian eyes going wide.
"Yes!!" She exclaimed, quickly running to the flower field a few meters away. Itachi gave his old
(or rather young) friend a happy smile.
"So what is it you need to ask me?" Shisui's cheeks were tinted pink slightly, scratching the back of his curly head of hair.
"I uh...well...I need advice...girl advice..." Shisui said embarrassingly. A playful look toyed on Itachi's strong features when he was starting to understand what Shisui wanted.
"A girl? You've been back a month and you're already thinking about a girl? You never do change." Shisui's cheeks were tinted even darker when Itachi teased him. Shisui nudged Itachi on the shoulder and pouted.
"Hey this girl is special! I just...I just don't know how much times have changed. I don't know what girls in this time are interested in." Itachi smirked at Shisui, however it wasn't mocking. Itachi felt bad that Shisui missed out on all of the advancements within the past twenty years...although the important part was that he was alive and breathing once again.
"Well it's pretty much the same...take her out to dinner, buy her flowers...that sort of thing. Yumi would be better to ask or rather Shinasui considering she is the same age as you." Itachi stated. Shisui looked rather nervous for once, despite his usual cool and playful demeanor.
"Yeah I'm definitely not going to ask Shina..." Shisui stated. Itachi was about to ask why when his eyes widened in realization.
"Oh...Minako Sensei is going to kill you." Itachi said in a matter-of-fact tone. Shisui looked a little frightened before waving his hands cautiously in front of Itachi's face.
"W-wait wait!! Don't get the wrong idea!! I'm not going to be a player or anything I just wanna get to know her!! Maybe go on a date, I dunno!" Shisui said while flustered.
"WOW! You like Lady Shina?!" Mikoto gasped, her arms full of colorful wildflowers. Shisui lowered his hands and put a finger in front of his lips.
"Shh! Not so loud Mikoto!" Shisui warned in an embarrassed tone. Itachi couldn't hold back the full belly laugh that was bubbling up in his stomach so uncharacteristically. Shisui smiled at hearing his friend laugh, something he never thought he'd hear again.
"Shisui, you're so shy all of a sudden. Why not just go talk to her? I do have to warn you though, she is a bit depressed because her love interest recently married." Shisui sulked slightly.
"Man...I don't know how I'm gonna get her to want to come out with me then..." Shisui groaned. Mikoto's soft charcoal eyes looked down at the flowers before looking back up.
"Give her these Mr. Shisui! Girls love flowers!" Mikoto innocently smiled, warming up to Shisui's presence. Shisui slowly took the bundle of flowers from Mikoto, his eyes soft.
"Are you sure? You worked so hard to pick them." Shisui asked. The little girl smiled at Shisui before smiling at her father.
"Daddy says any work that leads to peace and love is worth is effort. So this is worth the effort!" Itachi was incredibly proud of his daughter, the little purple haired girl. Shisui was surprised at how intelligent she was...however she was the child of Konoha's strongest Uchiha so it was to be expected somewhat.
"That was very kind of you Mikoto." Itachi praised his daughter's actions. Shisui looked nervous but excited at the same time.
"If this works then I'm going to pick a bunch of flowers with you next time Mikoto! That's a promise! Thank you!" Shisui quickly teleported away from the two Uchiha, the youngest in awe of Shisui's speed.
"Wow Daddy! How did he do that?" Itachi placed his hand on his daughter's shoulder.
"It's a skill Shisui is quite proud of. His name is Shisui of Teleportation."

Shinasui was sitting in one of her favorite spots to think: a cliff face overlooking Tsuna lake just outside the village's walls. It wasn't necessarily hidden but just aside enough that it was never occupied whenever the silver haired girl needed time to herself. She sat in her usual blue skirt and vest, the orange outline and Uzumaki symbol bright on the cloth. She took to wearing the outfit as a memento to her late Sensei, Obito Uchiha. Shina was feeling depressed...and not just because she lost the person who practically raised her when her parents were busy but also because Neji, her long time crush, had gotten married a week before. She felt lost...and bored with her life...wondering what adventures in the world were waiting beyond Konoha's walls.
The violet eyed woman looked at the sun beginning to set over the crystal lake, beautiful colors of gold, crimson, and peach reflected on the smooth waters. Moments like this reminded her that there was always beauty in this world, even if the darkness can sometimes be overwhelming. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't sense Shisui appear just a bit behind her.
"Beautiful sunset isn't it?" Shinasui was surprised for a moment before recognizing the voice and chakra signature.
"That it is." Shinasui replied, looking off into the soft water below. She was afraid of heights when she was little, but now the view was almost comforting. Shisui stood behind her, marveling the view in front of him...and the sunset too. He quietly sat next to the Hatake before pulling out the flowers Mikoto gave him along with a soft smile.
"To make your day better." Shisui said. Shina was shocked but a bright smile took over her features.
"Shisui! You really picked all of these for me?" Shisui awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
"Well...I had help.." He chuckled.
"Thank you...that was very nice of you." Shisui smiled back at her, observing as Shina brought the flowers to her nose to smell them.
"I know I said this to you before but I'm happy I got to meet you. Before you were born I joked with your Mom that she should name her kid after me. I didn't think she actually would." Shisui chuckled. Shinasui couldn't fight the smile off of her face.
"Do you talk about knowing girls before they were born to every girl you give flowers to?" The silver haired beauty joked. Shisui laughed with a flirtatious grin on his face.
"Only the gorgeous ones." Shina blushed, she smile still on her cheeks.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd think that you were flirting with me, Mr. Uchiha." Shisui's onyx eyes were looking into Shinasui's violet, feeling something he never felt in his lifetime before. Shinasui may be the generation after his, but he was lost in time with her now.
"I am if it's working." Shisui said. Shinasui looked over at the boy who towered over her. She had heard stories about how heroic and brilliant Shisui was in his lifetime and here he was, spending time out of his day to make her smile.
"Just a bit." Shinasui winked. Shisui grinned at her, enjoying the moment. His heart was racing, hoping that Shinasui would give him a chance. Even though the situation was weird, his feelings for her were quite clear. Perhaps destiny has a funny way of working itself out.
"My mother always talked about you when I was growing up. She called you a hero." Shisui smirked at the Hatake.
"Do you call every boy you wink at a hero?" Shinasui couldn't stop the laugh that left her pink lips.
"Only the handsome ones." Shisui slowly linked his fingers with Shinasui's, the two holding hands.
"If I wasn't mistaken, I'd think you're flirting with me Miss Hatake." Shinasui blushed before leaning on Shisui's shoulder, the flowers laying on her lap.
"Perhaps I am." Shisui smiled peacefully to himself, letting Shinasui lean on him. She didn't realize that Shisui was just the comforting soul she needed and he didn't realize how his feelings for her were going to explode into beautiful fireworks. As the two gazed off into the setting sun, their thoughts were on each other and each other alone, wondering what the future between them will bring.
