Flashback: 9 year old reader's POV

Today is Saturday and I'm going with Haru-nee to the hospital to see Fuyuka-san! I'm so excited!

"(F/n)-chan! It's time to go!" Ah! Haru-nee is calling me! "Hai!" I said and went down the stairs to where Haru-nee is waiting for me. "Let's go!"

A Few Minutes later

"Fuyuka? So nice to see you again!" Haru-nee said. "I brought (F/n)-chan with me today."

Fuyuka-san immediatly turned her head to see me. "Ara. (F/n)-chan you're getting tall!" She said happily.

"Of course!" I said proudly. "Ne, Fuyuka-san, are you going to check someone?"

"Un. Follow me." She said before turning to Haru-nee. "Are you coming?"

"No. I'll just wait here. You can leave her to your patient then come back here."

"Is that ok with you?" Fuyuka-san turned to me. I nodded. I think her patient is really nice! Then we both went to a room. Fuyuka-san knocked.

"Come in." A kind voice answered. Fuyuka-san opened the door revealing a boy with navy blue hair who is probably 5 years older than me. "Fuyuka-san." He then turned to me and smiled. "I see you have a visitor."

"Un. (F/n)-chan, introduce yourself." She turned to me.

"Hai. I'm (L/n) (F/n)! Nice to meet you!" I said and smiled cheerfully.

"I'm Tsurugi Yuuchi. Nice to meet you too." He smiled kindly. I knew he was nice!

"I'll leave you two here, ok?" Fuyuka-san said and we just nodded. "I'll be with Haruna if you need me, (F/n)-chan. Jaa." She said before closing the door behind her. I immediatly turned to the boy and sat down on a chair beside his bed.

"Ne, can I call you Yuuchi-nii?" I said. He chuckled and nodded then we started talking until hours later when Haru-nee came to fetch me.

"(F/n)-chan, it's time to go."

"Hai! Jaa, Yuuichi-nii! I hope to see you soon!" I said and smiled cheerfully.

"Un. Jaa ne, (F/n)-chan."

It's been 4 years since I met Yuuichi-nii and now I'm 13 years old and studying at Raimon Jr. High as a first year. The game between Hakuren just ended 3 days ago. Oh how I wish females could enter Holy Road. Well. Another school day has ended and since I have nothing else to do today, I'll just go to the hospital to see Yuuichi-nii. It's almost been a year since I last visited him and I'd like to see him again. And I've finally reached there. I didn't see Fuyuka-san on the way though. I went to Yuuichi-nii's room and knocked and I heard a "Come in." from him. I opened the door.

"Ah! (F/n)! It's been so long." He said and smiled warmly. I smiled back and closed the door behind me.

"Un. It really has been a long time, Yuuichi-nii. I'm sorry for not visiting often." I said appologetically and stood near his bed; leaning on the wall.

"It's alright." He smiled. "Kyousuke has been keeping me company. In fact, I thought he was visiting instead of you."

"Kyousuke? Ah. Your brother. Come to think of it...we've never met before."

"I bet you will today. You'll probably get along since you're the same age. By the way. Where do you study now?"

"Raimon Junior High." I said briefly.

"Raimon? That's where you study?" I just nodded. "That's where Kyousuke goes to. Are you sure you haven't seen him?"

"Nope. Though...I think I've heard rumors about him. 'Ace Striker' and others like that." Then, we heard a knock. "Come in." Yuuichi-nii said and a tall boy that looked like him came in. He looked....cool in my opinion...

"Nii-san." He said before turning to me with a questioning look.

"Kyousuke, this is the girl I've talked to you about." Eh? Yuuichi-nii talked about me to him?

"(L/n) (F/n). Nice to meet you." I said and smiled.

"Tsurugi Kyousuke. Nice to meet you too." He said with almost no emotion. I guess he doesn't like showing his emotions, unlike Yuuichi-nii.

"Ano...Tsurugi-san. I heard that you study at Raimon. I don't believe I've seen you there."

"It's probably because I'm either in our class or the soccer building."

"Makes sense."

I looked at my watch. "It's getting late. I should go home now..."

"Kyousuke, why don't you go with (F/n)? It's getting dark. It isn't safe to be alone at a time like this." We both looked at Yuuichi-nii.

"No. It's fine, Yuuichi-nii. I can take care of myself." I told him while smiling awkwardly.

"I insist." He smiled. "And you'll need company. I know you don't like being alone." We both sighed and nodded.

We both went out the door and said our goodbyes to Yuuichi-nii. When we were on the sidewalk, Tsurugi spoke up. "I heard from Nii-san that you play soccer." I just nodded. "Why haven't you joined the club?"

"I guess...I don't know. Females aren't allowed in Holy Road. So, I don't think there's a point in joining the club yet. Though I'd like to join soon." I said while smiling a bit when I mentioned I'd like to join the soccer club.

"I don't see any point in not joining. You should really join soon." He said as he put his hands in his pockets. "There are managers there who could probably use your company."

"That just sounded like you wanted me there for their company..."

"...That's not what I meant. But the point is, you should join."

"Fine, fine, I'll join." I chuckled a bit.

"T--Watch out!" He said then pulled me to his side because a boy riding a bicycle went pass us. We turned to each other and our faces were close. Probably just a few centimeters apart. We both pulled away and turned our heads to face the other direction. That was just way too embarassing...

"Thanks..." I said while he just nodded. We walked to our houses awkwardly because of that specific event. When we finally reached by my house, I turned to him. "Thanks for coming with me. See you tomorrow at the club!" I said and smiled. "Bye!" I ran towards our house. Though I didn't notice he smiled when I ran away. When I got in my house, I greated my mom. "Okaa-san! I'm home!"

"Welcome home, (N/n)." She said and smiled at me. "By the way...who's the boy you were with?" She teased me. I had a light blush on my face while putting my bag down beside my study table.

"That was Yuuichi-nii's brother...he insisted he should come with me since it's getting late." I explained and had no choice to say the truth since Okaa-san would see right through me.

"Really? He looks nice. You two would look nice together~" She chuckled to which I blushed and grumbled. "Ok. Ok. Let's just eat."

Next day, I woke up early in the morning and changed into my uniform after taking a bath. I went down stairs and said goodbye to my mom. Then, I went out of our house while eating a sandwich. I went pass the park where kids were busy playing. It always made me feel happy when I see children playing. It makes me miss being a kid. I finally reached school and went in our classroom. Like usual, I listen to the teacher, eat recess, listen to the teacher again then eat lunch. I was patiently waiting for the bell to ring so I can join the soccer club. Haru-nee will be there anyways. Same with Yuuto-nii since Endou-san left the team. Then, while I was daydreaming, the bell rang. Finally! We stood up and said goodbye to our teacher. After that, I took my things and went towards the soccer building. On my way there, I saw Haru-nee and went towards her. She was with Yuuto-nii.

"Konichiwa~" I said and they both turned to me and smiled.

"(F/n)! Nice seeing you here. You finally decided on joining?" Haru-nee said, cheery as ever. I nodded.

"Surprising." Yuuto-nii said and chuckled lightly. We all went in the building together.

"Kidou-kantoku!" Most of them said and bowed a bit. Yuuto-nii just nodded. I looked around and saw Tsurugi leaning on the wall with closed eyes. Typical, I guess?

"Minna, we have a new member." The purple-haired female said while smiling and looked at me. Then most of the members of the club looked at me. The managers grinned. "Why don't you introduce yourself?" I smiled.

"I'm (L/n) (F/n). You can call me (F/n). Nice to meet you all." I said and bowed a bit. Tsurugi immediatly opened his eyes when he heard me speak. I looked over at him to see him smirking a bit and I smirked back at him before returning to my usual small smile.

"(F/n), are you joining as a manager?" A girl with blue hair said.

"Of course she is." A boy with dull teal hair said, causing a confident smile to get plastered on my face.

"No, I'm not. I'm joining as a player." I said which surprised most of the team and the boy earlier almost fell down the chair he was sitting on.

"If you are, show us your shoot." A boy with wavy brown hair said. I nodded. But before we went to the field, they introduced theirselves and after, we all walked to the field. Sangoku-san went to the goal while I went infront. Aoi blew the whistle and I did my hissatsu.

"(H/n)!" I said and kicked the ball towards the goal. Sangoku-san used a hissatsu but barely stopped my shoot.

"Impressive. I guess you'll be nice in the team." He said while smiling a bit. I smiled and thanked him. Later on, we practiced. I guess you could say I fitted in the team well. After the practice, I sat down on the bench with the managers.

"Hey, (F/n), I saw you look at Tsurugi a while ago. Do you know each other?" Aoi asked me.

"Well. I guess you could say that."

"Ara ara~ Do you like each other~?" Midori said. I blushed a bit. She immediatly jumped to that conclusion?

"No. It's not like that, Midori-san..." The three managers just chuckled.

The Holy Road has almost finished and we're all at the stadium. I was at the bench, cheering for them with the managers while playing since females weren't allowed. I'm sure Gouenji-san would've allowed that, though, there were probably problems in letting that happen. Then, Tsurugi used Death Drop G3 to shoot a goal and Tenma made it a chain shoot by using Shin Mach Wind. It went in! Everyone started cheering, hugging each other and almost dancing around. They did it!

After Hibiki Seigou's speach and the team being on spot light, Endou-kantoku decided that there will be a victory party later. So the whole team was excited. I was with the managers while the team was changing to their casual clothes for the party at Rairaiken. We were just talking about random stuff. Then, Tsurugi came up to us in his usual clothes. "(F/n)? Can I talk to you?" I looked the managers then at him.

"Sure."

"Well. We'll leave you two alone. Bye, (F/n)~" Midori-san teased as they all walked away.

"So...what did you want to talk about?" I asked, curious.

"I just...wanted to tell you something..." He said and I just looked at him as if asking him to continue. "I..." he paused a bit, as if quite hesitant. "..like you." He finished and glanced away. I chuckled. "What?"

"That was cute, Kyousuke." I said and smiled at him. "I like you, too." Then, I kissed his cheek. He was surprised at first but smiled and hugged me.

"Glad to hear that."

"Kyousuke?"

"Hm?"

"You should smile a bit more often."

=Extended Ending=

Then, everyone suddenly popped out cheered, making us stop the hug. What the heck are they doing here?!

"Congratulations, you two! We finally have a new couple!" Midori- san shouted and teased.

"Congrats, (F/n)-chan~" The three managers said making me blush.

"Same to you, Tsurugi~" Shinsuke and Tenma teased him, also making him blush a bit.

"Minna. Did you really see all of that..?" I asked them.

"Of course." Shindou-san said, joining the teasing conversation.

"I even have two pictures!~" Akane-san added and showed everyone a picture of a hug and both of us smiling.

"Nice one, Akane!" The second years cheered, except for Kurama-san.

"Well. Looks like there will be more to celebrate at the party." Kurama finally added with a smirk.
