This is an alternate ending to Brines. So... Uh.... Spoilers if you haven't read it?

Oh yeah... Warning... This gets dark AF...

And I have proof read it so... Yeah... Sorry if there are any mistakes... :/

Seto swung his sword in a swift motion, slicing away another shadow as they back him further into an aisle away from the others. Dominic simply following after them in a clam manner.

When close enough, Dominic smirked and moved his hand to the side in a swift motion. Immediately, the sorcerer went flying through the air, his body smacking into the bookshelf with a slam.

Seto winced in pain as he tried to pry myself of the wall, until several shadows lunged at him, grabbing his arms and legs with their claws and holding the sorcerer against the wall.

"I don't want to hurt you Seto..." Dominic hissed, walking up to his grandson, sheathing his sword and looking at him "We're family, and family care about each other..."

"Really?" Seto growled, struggling against the shadows "Because if you care about me, you sure have a strange way of showing it..."

He narrowed his eyes at him and growled "I am giving you one last chance Seto. Join me willingly and let me show you what you're capable of. You know that deep down you want to..."

Seto glared at him "I've made my choice Grandfather. I will never be like you! Not now, not ever!"

Dominic just sighed "I was hoping you'd see things my way, but your so much stronger than I thought... Oh well... I have other ways of changing your perspective on the situation..."

After he said that, Dominic placed his hands on Seto's arms and slowly rubbed them along his arms, murmuring under his breath in demon tongue, the language of demons.

As he spoke, pain began to flare in both of the young sorcerer's arms. Seto looked at his arms to see that as he ran his hands along them, the sleeves on his shirt were burning away to reveal different strange dark red runes being burned into his arms.

Seto screamed in pain, it felt like his arms were being roasted over a fire, the pain travelling along his arms and slowly seeping into the rest of his body.

Seto struggled even more, the pain reaching an unbearable point. He could hear Jerome and Ian shouting, seeing what was happening, but unable to reach him due to the growing amount of shadows.

Quentin yelled in anger and began to use some of his Pokemon abilities, which he only used in emergencies due to how much energy it saps from him. Several shadows were obliterated by a water gun, thrown back by a rock smash and so on.

Mitch was backing up into the aisle across from the one Seto was in was in, Bella following and still fighting him mercilessly. Ian and Jerome were fighting with Ryan, who looked ready to pass out from his wounds.

Dominic smirked and looked Seto dead in the eyes "It's over Seto Levis... Your team is falling and the others in the Overworld are no better... You're mine now..." He hissed, letting the sorcerer go, the shadows holding poor Seto down vanishing, leaving him to collapse to the floor, panting heavily, tears of pain blurring his vision and darkness threatening to consume it.

He smirked and turned away from the sorcerer, drawing his sword and slowly walking toward the others, no doubt to finish them off.

Seto hissed in pain as he tried to push himself up, his head hurt, his arms hurt, his whole body screamed for rest, for relief. His arms were now decorated with bright red runes glowing brightly.

Finally, the sorcerer's body gave out, leaving the sorcerer to lie on the floor as he vision dissolved into a comforting black and red.

The battle for the rest of the group was not going well.

Ryan seemed to have finally given out from his wounds and had collapsed, Ian and Jerome unable to stop a shadow from ranking its claws along the boy's chest and face, killing him instantly.

Across the aisles where Bella and Mitch still fought, Mitch managed to disarm the hybrid and held her against the wall. He held the sword up, ready to strike but hesitated. This wasn't Bella's fault, she was being controlled, he could not do this to he...

Mitch felt pain tear though his abdomen and his looked down to see Bella's sword being driven through him. Bella was gripping the handle of the weapon tightly with blank red eyes that slowly faded back to blue.

The hybrid winced and shook her head until she focused on what she was looking at and was doing. At the realisation of stabbing Mitch, she shrieked.

The boy coughed as he fell to his knees, blood dripping down the weapon still in his stomach. Bella fell next to him and caught him "Mitch! I'm sorry! I'm so so so sorry!" She cried, hugging the boy.

Mitch just looked up at her and gave a weak smile, holding her hand "It's ok... It's not your fault... Now get out of here Bells, please." He said as the light left his eyes and he fell limp. (I regret nothing Blox... XD)

Belle covered her mouth and just cried harder. This couldn't be happening... It couldn't!

Quentin just turned to used several of his moves against Dominic to distract the sorcerer while Jerome kept chopping shadows up with Betty to help Quentin focus. Neither of them had noticed Mitch yet.

When Ian saw an opening, he ducked under a shadow and quickly raced over to where Seto lay. He kneel by the boy and tried to shake him awake.

"Seto?" Ian hissed, sitting him up against the shelf "Come on Seto, we need you... Don't give into it-"

Before Ian could continue, he yelped as he felt Seto's hand lash out and grab his neck, smacking him against the wall with a slam!

Ian stared in shock and horror as Seto looked up at him with a smirk, his irises glowing a bright red.

"Seto?" Ian managed to choke out "Seto please! Snap out of it!"

Seto's smile grew wider at that, the runes of his arms flashing brightly "I don't need to snap out of anything." He hissed, his voice sound darker and crueler.

Ian looked at Seto with fear as he kicked the sorcerer back and took off running further into the centre "Jerome?!" He yelled "Problem!"

The Bacca turned to look at Ian as he sliced a shadow and yelped as he watched Seto fire a bolt of red lightning that only just missed Ian's head. The boy managed to hold his sword in defence as Seto struck his own down, the two beginning to spar.

Jerome started to run over to help before Ian yelled back "Get that amulet!" As he blocked another strike from Seto. The sorcerer seemed to have no regrets or remorse in wanting to harm his friend.

Jerome turned back to Dominic, as he ducked under and torn up a shadow with his claws. Quentin looked at Jerome for a moment and nodded, using a water gun on the dark sorcerer, blasting him back and exposing the amulet for a moment.

A moment was all the Bacca needed, rushing forward and leaping off a shadow to catch the exposed amulet in his claws. He felt something grab his wrist for a moment, causing extreme pain there but he refused to let go, tumbling into the aisle next to Bella with a wince.

"Jerome?" Bella asked softly with worry as the Bacca stood and rubbed his wrist, still holding the amulet. It seemed a small hourglass rune was burned into it.

"I'm fine..." He muttered before looking and stopping in horror when he saw Bella next to his friend's corpse.

"Biggums..." Jerome murmured softly as he blinked back tears. Bella finally stood up from Mitch's body, putting his dog tag necklace around her own neck. This made Jerome swallow his grief, he had to be strong, that's what Mitch would've wanted, for Bella's sake.

He looked to Quentin as he passed the amulet to Bella "Keep it safe, and go." He was going to be sure these monsters payed for this.

"I'm not leaving you guys!" Bella hissed determinedly and putting on a brave face, she wouldn't let herself be beat, not again.

"Bella please! Just go!" He yelled as he readied Betty to jump into the fray and stall Seto as he sparred with Ian.

However before he could, his attention from Ian was torn away to look at Quentin, watching as Dominic fired an orb of red magic at the mudkip that sent him flying back till he hit the wall, splintering the wood and sending books falling.

Quentin just hissed in pain, part of his suit was torn to reveal the blue skin on his shoulder, a bright red hourglass snapped rune burned into it.

"Quentin!" Jerome yelled out, not caring that it caused Seto to turn away from Ian's unconscious body to face him with a smirk, shadows gathering at his feet. A bright red rune was glowing in the side of Ian's neck.

Quentin hissed in pain, looking down at the turn on his shoulder and back up at Dominic and his friends.

The Mudkip's eyes hardened as he saw this, looking at where he was. The chaos of the fight had already made many of the bookshelves unstable, another blow may just push it over the edge.

The Bacca's eyes widened as he saw what his friend was planning and he yelled "Quentin No!"

Quentin's fist glowed white from another Pokemon move, brick break, and he yelled "Go!" Before slamming his fist into the bookshelf behind him, smashing the already weak wood on contact and send ing bits of wood and paper everywhere.

The final blow seemed to be to much for the bookcase, causing it to topple down with a crash into the bookcase next to it. Then that crashed into the neighbouring one, and so on causing a domino effect.

Dominic's eyes widened as he cast a shield spell over himself and his grandson to protect them both as one crashed on top of them.

As a bookshelf began to topple on top of Jerome and Bella, the two began to run towards the door. If this was going to end badly, they could at least get the amulet to the others. What they would be able to do with it if they did? They decided not to think about that...

They were almost there as the bookshelf finally hit the ground with a sickening smash!

When the dust settled, Bella was just at the door, hand on the handle and looking for Jerome. When she finally saw his paw poking out from under a pile of books and stained with blood, her tears flowed faster as she threw the door open and slammed it shut behind her. She didn't want to know what would happen next and just sobbed silently as she stumbled away from the collapsed room, gripping the amulet tightly in her bloodstained hand.

The others were gone and she'd helped in that. She'd killed the guy she loved and lost her best friend to darkness. How could have this happened?

No... She wouldn't let their sacrifices be in vain. She would get this dammed amulet to the others if it killed her.

If the rulers of Fate were looking down on the young hybrid, they would have been laughing.

As Bella reached the throne room and stumbled towards the portal, red magic blasted her back into the wall with a slam! The impact causing Bella to cry out in pain, the amulet falling from her grasp.

Bella's vision was blurred and tinged with red as she tried to push herself up, though the ringing in her ears she could hear footsteps coming over to her.

Bella winced as she felt a hand go under her chin and tilt her head up to look at the attacker with wide eyes.

Seto grinned down at Bella evilly, his eyes swirling with red magic "Did you really think you'd get away that easily?" He asked with a laugh.

Bella swallowed fearfully, this couldn't really be Seto. Seto was kind, caring and compassionate, not like this... "Seto please... This isn't you..."

Seto just smirked and ignored Bella's words, picking up the amulet and placing it in his pocket "Well I'd love to hang around Bella but I'm afraid I have other plans." He said, his hand lighting up in bright red magic.

Bella could only cry out as Seto threw the magic over her with a laugh as her world went dark.
