"Iskall?" Doc asked as he walked behind them.

Iskall turned around and looked at him with their cold gray eye but the bite was gone.

Doc relaxed as he pulled Iskall to the lake.

Iskall walked beside him and when he opened his mouth to speak Iskall cringed.

"Are you ok?" Doc asked, holding their shoulder.

Iskall nodded "Of course. Just tired."

"Are you lying?" Doc asked them gently.

"No, "I know you don't, but I would honestly love to be with you." Iskall yawned and Doc smiled.

"I want to keep it slow. Maybe the day after we annoy each other we can go makeup with ice cream? Or something." Doc suggested holding him gently.

"Yeah, but are you ok with going out tonight as friends?" Iskall asked, their face full of worry and their breath hitched.

"Where?" Doc asked, looking at their cold eye with love.

"Just walking around town," Iskall said relaxing in Doc's lap.

"Anything you would like," Doc said smiling.

Iskall laughed. "Anything?"

"Fuck you." Doc laughed.

Iskall looked at his com. "Tonight it's going to rain. Would you be interested in going today?"

"I'm free if you are," Doc said with a smile.

"Simp." Iskall taunted.

"Shut up or I'll shut you up. Doc said putting a hand in their hair subconsciously.

Doc took it out when Iskall didn't respond.

"I'm sorry," Doc said as he relaxed, leaving Iskall alone on his lap.

"It's fine I just didn't expect you to already know," Iskall said as they laughed fearfully and smiled.

Doc smiled. "I should have known we could be something," Doc said as he smiled.

Iskall lent up and kissed him. Doc nuzzled him and kissed him back.

"I was never good at taking things slow. Add a hot dude and I'm screwed." Doc said kissing him again.

Iskall leaned into him and smiled.

When they woke up, they were completely alone in their bed, and they flopped back into it. 'Why me?' They wondered as they looked out their balcony at the lovers who were fighting.

'On second thought maybe not.'

They thought as they turned around, facing the picture of them and Stress with the ring they bought her still in the box. 

'If it seems too good to be true; It probably is.'

They didn't know who said it but now it seemed to ring true. They felt the stinging hot tears and let them stay for a bit.

They didn't have the heart to whisk them away just yet.
