She was younger, around five years. He was twenty five and felt nothing. She only knew heartbreak and sadness. They worked at the same place, a hairstylist. She only worked there cause no one else would take her. He didn't care. Her hair was extreme along with her makeup. Her hair went down to her hips even in pigtails and was dyed to look like a rainbow. Her face was pale, like a doll's but she had black eyeshadow and dark eyeliner that she made look like she had tears of ink under her eyes and matching lipstick. He admired how bold she was with her outfits as well as her hair and makeup normally they were either punk or steampunk looking. Despite looking how she did, she always got the most customers. Today, she was working on a punk girl going to prom soon.
"So sweaty, how do you want it? Curled? Dyed? Set ablaze in color?" She asked putting her hand on her hip.
"Something that will get my date unable to take his eyes off of me." The teen replied with a smirk.
"Ah. I know the look. No limitations?"
"Keep the bangs, other than that no."
"Got it." And she began to work. She changed the girl from a punk teen with black hair to a beautiful young woman with white accents in her hair, eyebrows perfectly trimmed, eyeshadow flawless and lips filled.
"Done!" She said with a soft giggled as the break bell rang. "Have your mom send me the cash, I'm about to go on break. Don't cause too much trouble sweetheart." She said happily, grabbing her food and heading outside. Her act dropped the second she got out the door, she opened up her lunch and walked around the building, feeding the mother cat and checking on the kittens.
"You know you'll get fired if Amanda catches you doing that. Besides you should eat." The male, Susanoo said, arms crossed as he watched with calculating eyes. She froze as she heard his voice.
"Oh well. It's better for them to be well and alive than leave them without food. The mother is a domestic one, not a wild. Plus she doesn't have front claws, so she can't catch food easily. Not only that but that would leave them defenseless." She sighed letting her pigtails put, her hair going down to her knees.
"You're going to get in trouble and I'm not bailing you out (Y/N)." He eyed her. She was pretty, he'd give her that but she acted so childish he doubted she could ever grow up.
"You're wrong. Your face looks like you're thinking whether or not I could grow up. I act cheerful for the teens who need an adult figure who doesn't judge them and the orphans I raise." She wasn't lying she had adopted a family of five because no one wanted to adopt five kids at a time, except her. The oldest two also had jobs while they were still in school, so at least she didn't have to worry about supporting them by herself.
"Sure." He shook his head as he watched her pet the newborn kittens.
"Besides, I'm taking them home with me." She said tucking a hair behind her ear.
"I've always wondered why you always insisted on taking care of everyone else, but not yourself." He wanted to know, after all he was constantly forcing her to eat and sleep. After all they were neighbors. She gave a deep, sorrow filled sigh.
"I was pregnant two years ago...." She started, which only confused him. He had never seen a child in or around her house before she got the orphans. "It died... Shortly after childbirth since it had a whole in its heart. But it had tried to stay in even longer than it was supposed to and messed up my ovaries... As much as I love children, I can never have one of my own ever again..." She refused to look up, but he could tell she was at the edge of crying. "When my boyfriend found out he blamed me, called me a devil and that's why I couldn't be a mother. He said some of the rudest things I've ever heard, like even if I miraculously had a child, it would die within the first few years because I would sacrifice it. He said I shouldn't have ever been born that I was the worst mistake of my mothers entire life and that she should have been imprisoned for giving birth to a demon...." By now she actually was crying. He had never seen her cry, not even the day after her ex had left.
"Your house doesn't allow pets. Move in with me." He didn't know why but he couldn't help but feel bad for her, maybe the first time in his entire life he felt something for someone else. "My family owns the property, so you'll be allowed to have these cats around." She looked up at him, actual black inky tears going down her face.
"You don't have to do that Susanoo..." She mumbled, wiping her eye gently. She had a light blush on her face but definitely wouldn't admit to it.
"No, but you're going to anyways." He said turning around and walking away. She gave a small quiet laugh, once Susanoo made up his mind, it was going to happen. She didn't know how to feel about it, especially considering that she found him rather attractive. Unfortunately, she refused to even try to date anyone she found attractive, after all what had that achieved? Nothing but heartbreak.

It had been three months since she had moved in with Susanoo whenever it happened. But first, lets explain the house. Two story Victorian house with five bedrooms and two bathrooms and a kitchen along with a covered deck added on three years ago when Susanoo's father lived there. Now, the rooming was simple, the two youngest shared a room, each of the teens had their own room, which left Susanoo and (Y/N) sharing one. At first she refused to share and slept on the couch but after a month, he started to carry her into his bedroom so she would be comfy. She finally stopped sleeping on the couch since she thought it was more trouble to carry her and ended up sleeping in his room. This of course embarrassed the crap out of her and she didn't know how to deal with this slight crush on him. Now, onto what happened that fateful day. It was around ten in the morning and She was making the kids some breakfast since Susanoo didn't eat in the morning. There had been a loud knock on the door, loud enough it had woken Susanoo from his sleep, since they both had the day off. Not wanting to wake anyone up, she went over to the door and opened it.
"May I help-" she gasped softly whenever she saw who it was. It was her ex boyfriend Anthony, the one she was supposed to have a baby with. He held a bouquet of roses and a small smile graced his face.
"Hello my love." Here he went the gentleman act again. This was how she had fallen for him the first time and he knew it. He handed her the flowers and gave a shy, embarrassed face. It Definitely wasn't a smile and it definitely wasn't real.  She knew that but couldn't help but blush. Susanoo by this time was watching from the doorframe of his room, since it was on the first floor, a deep frown on his face.
"A-Anthony... What are you doing here? Y-You said you never wanted to see me again a-and that you wished I would Die..." She murmured, close to tears but at the same time she wanted to punch him. Maybe she'd do both? He flinched at her words and looked down at the ground.
"I'm so sorry... I had just been angry and I needed something to blame... I never should have said those horrible things, hell, I shouldn't have ever thought them. I love you and miss you so much (Y/N). I never wanted to hurt you." He looked like he was about ready to cry, and despite knowing they would be fake tears, she felt her heart breaking at his sadness.
"A-Anthony..." She mumbled, tempted to either break his nose or hold his hand. She was very conflicted. She knew he was a player, a liar and an actor Who broke her heart into a million and one pieces. Right after she lost her child and the ability to have them. Susanoo by this time was a little angry and the ex and wanted him off of his property, and away from her. Especially away from her. He likes to pretend that he doesn't know that she wakes up every night crying her eyes out because of him, since he knows it makes her feel better. Before he knew what he was doing, he was next to her with his arms wrapped around her waist, dragging her back into reality. Anthony's face immediately soured into anger, obviously he was expecting her to be single and miserable.
"Hey.. Babe..." He said, the word fitting her perfectly and he laid his chin on her shoulder, glaring at the ex. "What's takin so long, your breakfast is almost ready." He spoke with calmness as always despite how angry he felt towards this other boy. He had no idea why how or when, but she had managed to help him feel every emotion possible for humans.  "Also, kid, your hair is very... Asymmetrical, you should get it fixed. By someone who isn't (Y/N)." He said, venomous words aimed towards the boy.
"I can see I'm unwanted here. Text me, still the same old number." He said giving her a small smile.
"She can't. She got a new phone. She doesn't want it either. Goodbye." He said before he slammed the door in his face and walked away from the door, trying to keep the heat he was feeling away from his face. What was that he had felt while he was here. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped when he heard her giggling.
"Wow, you got jealous. And here I thought You couldn't feel any human emotions. You know what I think..." She said walking in front of him, looking up at him with her most flirtatious grin. "I think you might like me." He started to blush and crossed his arms.
"What makes you think that?" He said trying to play it off.
"Well for one you're blushing, you got jealous when Anthony showed, an you won't object to me doing this..." She trailed off as she leaned up and kissed him. He was shocking for a moment before he kissed back, wrapping his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck. When she pulled away she laid her head against his chest, blushing deeply.
"So, are we dating now?" She asked embarrassed.
"Only if you want to be." He muttered, leaning his head on hers.
"Then I guess we are."
He smiled softly as he thought, 'This girl has to be something special.'
