I sighed softly as I looked over at one of the members of the Seven Student Council Memebers, one of the more level headed ones in my opinion and also my crush, King. Well that was just my nickname for him, I smiled softly as I looked down at my notebook and sketched a small drawing of King as a literal King, Not paying any attention to Mr. Hendricksen. Phsyical Science was in my opinion the easiest subject.
"Ms. (L/N) Why can't Neon make a bond with another element without taking away an electron?" Mr. H asked since he had probably noticed that I wasn't paying attention. I looked up, seeing all eyes on me and swallowed thickly, I never did well in front of other people, especially since King was also looking at me.
"Well... Its because it has 8 valence electrons and is a noble has, meaning there is no room left in order to make a bond unlike say Hydrogen which only has 1 valence electron and can make a bond with any solid substance." I said quietly. Mr. H nodded gently and went back to what he was doing. I sighed softly and looked back down to where my notebook should have been but it was missing. Without trying to look panicky I looked around to see another one of the members of the Seven Student Council was flipping through my notebook. Ban.
"Mr. Ban, please give me back my notebook." I said softly trying to get it back but he simply smirked as he looked over at me.
"You sure have a huge crush on King, Huh Jane?" He asked and I sighed softly.
"That's none of your business. And my name's (Y/N) Not Jane..." I said quietly. "Can I please have my notebook back now?" I asked and he shrugged ripping out a page before tossing it to me.
"There. But I'm keeping this one." He said with a large smirk before the bell rang. I frowned slightly but picked up my bag, which was holding all of my school books which kind of made it look huge on me. I walked out the door with a light blush trying to avoid King or any of the other members of the Seven Student Council. What could Ban want with my drawing? I thought before I heard laughing and looked up. Merlin. Today was just not my day.
"Look who it is, what was your name again? Stacy? Grace? Oh no wait it's Bitch." She said laughing as she grabbed my notebook. "Whatcha got in here? Love notes? Or is it just another one of your boring book things you write?" She said flipping through it before she laughed more. "Wow! You're such a loser! No wonder no one ever remembers your name!" She said crossing her arms.
"Leave her alone Merlin. You can't written up again remember?" I turned to see King with Ban who had that usual smirk on his face. I lowered my head slightly and went to walk past her but she stuck out her foot, tripping me. I fell to the ground with a thump.
"Don't think you're getting away from this." She said putting her foot on the center of my back she looked at King and started to laugh. "Whatever. Who even cares for her anyways. She's nothing more than a lovesick loser who'll never get with someone if they don't pay her." she said tossing my notebook towards King. My eyes widened as he picked it up and started to flip through the pages, in a second I was out of my backpack and out from Merlin, running through the hallways to the nearest bathroom as tears rolled down my cheek. I ran until I was in the bathroom sobbing almost silently as I locked myself into a stall, everyone's voices repeating in my head.
"Slit" "Loser" "Bitch" "Who do you think you are?" "Why are you even alive?" "you should just stop trying" They echoed in my head as I brought my knees up to my chest as I cried into them.
"You shouldn't let what Merlin says get to you." Kings voice rang through my head making my heart hurt even more. He was the only one who cared. The only one who had ever remembered me as more than the smart girl in class. I heard the bell but didn't move I cried until I felt nothing. I had drained myself of everything as my mind had shut off. It didn't take long until the final bell of the day rang out. I got up and wiped my eyes as I walked out of the stall, Ignoring the coments and rumors about me as I walked outside, snow hitting my cheek as I continued to walk. About halfway to my house my legs gave out from exhaustion, due to all the crying and such, and my eyes closed, waiting for an impact. But it didn't. Instead I felt a pair of arms catch me and bring me into a warm chest. My eyes fluttered open to see King, holding me against him.
"You could have just told me, (Y/N)..." He said quietly as He looked down at me. "I like you too." He said kissing me gently. I didn't waist any time in kissing back, but soon he pulled away.
"Let's get you home." He said with a small smile. And from then on I never felt pain once and Merlin eventually stopped bullying me.
