One of those nights - MYG

- The night is dark & quiet, the floating fog blocking your view of the road ahead.
- "Shit, how could I get lost? I've passed this road a thousand times." You curse at yourself.
- You were driving to your villa when you unexpectedly got lost.
- "This thick fog is so freaking annoying. I can't see a thing." You squint your eyes to see better to no avail.
- Out of nowhere, a tree trunk appears in front of you, taking you by surprise.
- You quickly hit the brake but it's too late.
- Your car slams right onto it, bursting the airbags.
- "Ugh.. My head.." You groan as you touch the side of your head & feel hot sticky blood trickling down your face.
- You sluggishly open the car door & stumble out of the car.
- "Fuck." You mutter under your breath as you see the wreckage that once was your car.
- You fish out your phone from your jeans pocket & unlock it.
- "Great. My phone is dead." You grunt.
- Right then, the sound of rolling thunder booms through the atmosphere.
- "Huh.. Just how much shittier can today get?" You sigh deeply.
- You stagger to the side of the road, hoping that someone would pass by, but the road is as empty as a ghost town.
- The hairs on the back of your neck stand up at the word 'ghost'.
- "Dammit brain, why do you have to think of that right now?" You mutter lowly as you wrap your arms around your body to warm yourself up.
- You walk along the deserted road, thunder rumbling lowly over your head.
- "I think it's going to rain heavily soon." You extend your palm & feel a drop of rain falling onto the middle of it.
- Just when you've lost all hope, thinking that you're going to have to walk all the way to your villa in the middle of a storm, you see a pair of headlights coming your way.
- The beam is so blinding that your hand instantly goes to your eyes to cover them.
- The black sedan screeches to a halt right in front of you.
- The driver's side window rolls down, revealing a guy your age with skin so pale that it illuminates even in the dark.
- He stares at you in silence with his sorrowful eyes, mouth slightly gaping.
- Why does he look so sad? And somehow, he seems familiar.
- "H-Hi. Are you possibly going towards the hill?" You muster all your courage & ask.
- "Huh? Oh, yes. Do you need a ride?" His lips lift slightly into a thin smile.
- "Yes, if that's ok with you. I had an accident back there & my car was completely wrecked, so.." You explain.
- "Sure. Hop in." He nods.
- You get into his car right before the rain starts pouring.
- "Pheww, thank God you passed. Otherwise, I'd have to walk." You try to make a conversation, but he only looks at you without saying a word, like he's in a trance.
- This guy is creepy as hell. What if he's a serial killer? You begin to regret your decision.
- "Uhm.. Aren't you going to drive?" You ask nervously.
- "Oh. Right." He quickly changes the gear & starts driving.
- You notice him keep glancing at you & you can't help but feel scared for your safety.
- "W-What's your name?" You hesitantly ask.
- "Yoongi. Min Yoongi." He answers flatly.
- Weird. Where have I heard that name before?
- "I'm Y/n. What brings you here in the middle of the night?"
- "It's- uhm.. It's my wedding anniversary. My wife & I always spend this special day at our villa."
- "I see. But where is your wife?" You ask again.
- He abruptly hits the brake & turns to you with an unreadable expression.
- "S-Sorry, was it too personal?" Fuck, I shouldn't have asked that question.
- "It's ok. Sorry for startling you. She's driving there on her own." He presses on the gas & the car starts moving again.
- "Oh. I see."
- You don't dare to ask anymore question, so both of you just drive in silence until you see your destination.
- "Can you please stop right there?" You point to the wrought iron gate a few meters ahead.
- He stops the car, letting you get off.
- "Thanks for giving me a ride. Have a wonderful anniversary with your wife." You smile at him.
- "Uh.. yeah.. thank you." He mutters.
- "Well, goodbye then." You wave at him & turn around.
- Thank God he's not a bad guy. Weird, but not bad. You breathe a sigh of relief.
- "Wait!" He suddenly exclaims.
- "Yes?" You turn to face him again.
- "I hope you find peace Y/n ah. I'll try to be strong even though it hurts to wake up every day & feel empty. Thank you for giving me a chance to talk to you." He says, eyes glistening with tears.
- "Uhm.. Ok. Haha. Sure. Take care Yoongi ssi." You chuckle awkwardly & bow at him before turning away.
- Weird guy. But the way he called my name.. sounds so.. Arghh, whatever. You shrug.

Yoongi POV
- I watch her walking further & further away until her back disappears amidst the fog.
- The tears that I've been holding in finally burst out uncontrollably.
- I lean my head on the steering wheel & cry until nothing comes out of my reddened eyes.
- I wipe the snot off my nose with the back of my hand & look up at the sign on the wrought iron gate.
- 'Cheonguk Cemetery'. The place where I buried my wife who died in a car accident a year ago.
- "Thank you Y/n ah for showing yourself to me again, but please rest in peace now." He mutters as he stares at the empty pathway that your ghost walked on a few minutes ago.

Flashback, Y/n POV
- "Are you sure you can drive to the villa on your own?" Yoongi asked, voice heavy with concern.
- "Don't worry. I've been there so many times, I won't get lost. In fact, I'm almost there now. You just focus on finishing your work & come quickly, ok? I'll get everything ready first for our anniversary dinner." You said to the phone.
- "Alright. But be careful ok? It's raining there, right? Drive slowly."
- "Yes boss. Stop worrying so much." You chuckled, although you were truthfully a bit worried about the storm.
- "Ok then, I'll continue working. Love you Y/n ah."
- "I love you too Yoon-"
- You couldn't finish your sentence because the tires of your car slipped on the slippery road, causing you to lose control of the steering wheel.
- "Y/n? Y/n ah, are you ok? Y/n!" You could hear him through the speaker but you were too panicked to answer.
- And the huge tree trunk was the last thing you saw before everything went black.
