Colors Do Not Blend
This one is based of a dream I had and these were the words I heard on a dream and I was weird so get ready.
I woke up early, and grabbed my new and first school uniform. It had a skirt that was black and white and came with a black button up blouse and white jacket with a black and white tie. I looked in the grimy mirror the dim light making my skin darker than the tan it regularly was and my black hair was very dark I saw my green eyes staring back at me dimly.
"Fawn, hurry up, I have an interview to get to!" My mom yelled in a gruff voice making me jump and quickly pull on my black dress shoes grabbing my bag and quickly running out of the bathroom.
"Slow down Fawn Sky." My dad said strictly, as I bumped into him, making me look down.
"Sorry papa."I replied walking over to mom who was halfway out the door. I quickly walked out the door past her to the small white car.
"Have a good day." She said to dad before closing the door and unlocking the car. I got into the front seat of the car and took a deep breath.
I wouldn't call myself excited about today more like terrified. School in this country of America isn't known for anything good, and it's always scared me just like it always scared me when mom and dad invited men over. It freaks me out because of T.V, in T.V most movies would show a girl be taken by an older man, their parents would hand them over and they would fall for the man, but sometimes the man was rude and nasty even though he "loved" her. School in T.V usually played out, with a girl getting bullied to a point where they would lose hope, but then they would climb their way up and become the bigger bully. I don't want that to be me.
"Here we are." Mom said, and looked out the window at large steps to the school.
"Are schools always this big mama?" I asked nervously, and she sighed.
"Come on Fawn, I got to go." She said making me tense up and get out. "Have a good day." She said as I closed the door.
"Fawn Sky?" I jumped at the voice behind me. I quickly turned around seeing tall older woman in a black dress which was dark under the cloudy sky.
"Y-Yes ma'am" I replied calmly as the tall woman held her hand out to me kindly.
"I'm Mrs. Prep." She said with an unusually large smile. Something didn't feel right with her. She was skinny, with choppy short blond hair and wore a gray dress. I couldn't tell why but she gave me many bad vibes, and I didn't like it one bit.
"Pleasure to meet you ma'am." I said respectfully shaking her hand. Her skin was cold which made since seeing as it was winter, but it just sent shivers down my spine.
"Welcome to Marigold middle school." She said sweetly putting her hand on my shoulder, as she walked me up the steps through the doors. Lockers were in rows on both sides of the large two halls that were before us, and they were empty which scared me at first, but I calmed down hearing kids in the rooms.
"Marigold is big." I said unsure what to do. She laughed and began to walk me down the halls, and she took me to each of my classes and told me the teacher's names to the classes. Only one class stood out.
"This is the art classroom." She said. The room was decorated with black and white flowers, and the name Mrs. Stanley was bold above the door and wavy.
"Wow." I said in awe.
"Mrs. Stanley is one of our most unique teachers we have and seeing as she's on your schedule, you are going to love this class." She said sounding sure of herself.
After the toure of the school it was lunch time, and I had the check my mom told me to give to the school and was scared as I entered the cafiatera. It was big with white tiles on the floor and gray walls. Kids were yelling, and it was loud and I didn't like it. I went through the line. It was slow and when I got the food did not look appetizing, it sucked but smelled good. I handed the check to the lady in the front and wrote down my name. As I walked out to the cafiatera I looked around nervously not sure where to sit with the tables packed like they were and that's when I spotted an area with some empty sits and I quickly sat down and began eating.
After lunch it was time for reseass. I walked outside, and the sun was finally shining for the day which made me smile thinking today was finally looking up. I walked the track they had too afraid to stay in the crowd. As I walked the path I got near the wired fence and I saw a boy around my age sitting on the other side reading. Out of pure curiosity I immediately walked over and sat down near him.
"H-Hi." I said nervously making the brown haired boy jump and look back at me.
"Hello their." He said in a british accent making me confused on why he had the accent, seeing as almost everyone in the US had American accents.
"Who are you?" I asked curious and afraid. His eyes were blue and green and it was strange.
"Levi Scott, and you?" He asked kindly.
"Fawn Sky." I answered as he tilted his head.
"You must be new to that school, because those kids don't talk to kids like me." He explained making me tilt my head.
"Why not?" I asked making him shrug.
"Too creative." He explained.
"Well that doesn't matter." I said still a little confused as he turned around fully.
"One of the teachers may pull you away soon, so, I want to say, that school isn't the best. Be careful who you talk to, and hang around." He said kindly warning me.
"What do you mean?" I asked and he scooted closer to the fence.
"Stay away from the guys in that school, and don't talk to the higher class girls or anyone." He whispered. "My sister went there and a lot of bad things happened to her, trust me just stay out of people's way and don't use the restroom there it's not safe." He explained making me confused as I heard a teacher yell my name. The boy quickly hid behind a bush.
"Fawn! You okay?" She asked sweetly, and I turned around to see a new teacher who was shorter with a big smile on her face straight blonde hair and oval blue eyes.
"Y-Yes ma'am." I said respectful as she helped me up.
"You sure, seem lonely?" She said kindly and I nodded. "Okay well you aren't supposed to be out here okay?" She asked as I nodded and began to walk back with her glancing back seeing the boy run inside the house behind him.
After recess I didn't listen to the boy thinking he was trying to scare me and went to the bathroom. I should of listened. As I entered the bathroom you couldn't really hear wel with al the kids walking by but as soon as entered saw in a bathroom mirror a boy and girl together in a sexual way shirts off and I quickly ran out of the bathroom and went to class head down. I was already beginning to hate school.
At the end of the day it was time for my first bus ride. I had never been on the bus, so this was the first time. I decided to sit in the back thinking I wouldn't have that much people around me but, I was wrong. No one bullied me to move or anything but it was crowded I was lucky in the seat that only seated one, but I was still crowded. On the bus I saw one girl making out with her boyfriend, while so boys were rough housing. Then a tall girl walked my way seeing me and looked down at me and I got scared.
"You should probably sit in the front." She said sternly making me quickly get up and head for the front which was less crowded as I sit next to a guy with black hair like mine. He glanced my way and I got very nervous since the boy had been right about the bathroom.
"Hi." He said in a low quiet voice.
"H-Hi." I said back nervously holding my hands so tight I had white knuckles.
"You're the new girl?" He asked kindly and I nodded, and he smiled. "All my teachers in my class said we were getting a new girl and that means I'll see you in all my classes, I assume." He said, and I finally looked up at him. He was little taller than me, his hair was black and curly, he had gray round eye and a rather small nose. His smile was small, and he wore a similar outfit to mine, but with slacks.
"F-Fawn Sky." I said holding out a shaky hand to him.
"Tod Mac." He said giving me a firm handshake. "Where do you get dropped off at?" He asked kindly
"T-Third stop is what I was told." I explained and he smiled more which scared me.
"We live in the same neighborhood!" He said excitedly. "I think me and you will be good friends." He said making me smile slightly.
"That sounds nice!" I said back and he nodded
When we got off we kinda walked past a few houses together then he went to his and I walked a few more houses down finally making it home and I ran inside quickly excited to share my day with Papa. I ran into his office and was about to hug him when I noticed her was asleep and quickly stopped myself, knowing if her was asleep in his office that me wouldn't want to be disturbed and I walked to my house and as soon as I walked in my room I laid down tired. After about an hour I was reading when there was a knock on my window which made me jump and I looked up to see the guy from the bus. I got up and opened the window.
"H-Hi?" I questioned, wondering why he was outside my window.
"Since we're friends now take this." He said handing me a nice clear water bottle.
"T-Thanks." I said confused and he smiled.
"Have a nice night Fawn Sky." He said and ran off. I closed the door still a little surprised, but smiled ready for us to be better friends.
