Try not to cry

Phillip and his mom, Eliza, were sitting on the couch together.

His mother was telling the story of how she met her husband, alex.

"And that's how i met your dad." She ended her story smiling.

"Can i go play now mom?" Pip asked.

"No,  pip sweety it's naptime." Eliza said.

"But mom! I don't wanna go to sleep! My dreams are weird!"

"All dreams are weird."

"But mom, my dreams are werrrrriiiiiiddddd" the little boy says stretching the word weird.

"Honey, something weird just might be something familiar viewed from a different angle. And that's not scary, right?" She pulled Phillip in for a hug.

"Lets go in the garden, you'll find something waiting."

Pip smiled, he loved it when ma sang.

"Right there where you left it, lying upside down."

"When you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded. The under side is lighter, when you turn it around. Everything stays, right where you left it. Everything stays, but it still changes. Ever so slightly, Daily and nighly, in little ways, when everything stays."

*years later*

Philip smiled at his memory of his mom.

A tear rolled down his face.

"I miss ya ma."

He picked up his guitar, and strummed it.

He tuned it, and racked his brain to remember the lyrics.

He took a deep breath, and began the song.

"Lets go in the garden, you'll find something waiting, right there where you left it, lying upside down. More tears seemed to have escaped from his eyes, as he wipes them away.

"Are you alright pip?" BMO asks curiously.

"Im fine, just recalling some memories from long ago..." He trailed off, and BMO shrugs.

"Oh." Was all he said.

I fucking love adventure time. Im so sad that it ended... That entire series was my childhood. Such good mems...
