"I am fine," she assured her husband. Sighing heavily, he picked his bags and turned towards his wife who was carrying their unborn child. She can lie but her eyes would never.
"I will be back soon," he assured her.

"It's been three days since you left," she complained, talking to her husband on the phone.
"I can't wait to see you both," he replied. There was a moment of silence and a shriek was heard at the other end.
"Hello?"
"I think the water has broken," she informed and the call was cut.
Least did she know that the next moment, there was a defeaning sound.

He had kept his promises. He returned home, martyred and wrapped in the Indian Flag. His new born daughter had took her first breath the day he took his last.
