Shelby sat on her bed, her knees close to her chest, staring at her phone. It laid there lifeless in front of her. She sat there waiting, and waiting. The little bubble processed its three little dots across the screen slowly. She looked up at the top of the screen. Tommy XD, she read. She looked back down at the bubble. It now was a text. It read, Look out your window. Shelby looked surprised. She slowly got up, grabbing her phone from off her bed. She walked to the window, opening the curtain, then lifting up the window. She looked down, nothing. What did he mean?
The night sky was dark yet lit with stars. She looked about, nothing. She rested her elbow on the window sill, as she stared out the open window. Nothing. Suddenly Tommy's face appeared in front of hers. He pressed his lips against hers and they both got into it. Shelby placed her hand against his cheek. They kissed and both liked it. Then Tommy stopped. He back his face up a little then said.

"Follow me." He then started to scale the roof of the house aiming for the top. Shelby looked up at Tommy as he climbed.

She hesitated then followed. She climbed up, grabbing tiles and stepping on tiles. They met at the top, sitting on the roof of the house. They looked at the starry night sky. Each star shines brightly, twinkling. Tommy smiled then looked at Shelby. She looked at the sky, wonder in her eyes. He looked back up then said.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Shelby nodded intently. "Just like you."

Shelby looked at Tommy. Then smiled. She moved over to sit close to him. Tommy laid back looking up at the sky, his hands behind his head. Shelby laid down her head on Tommy's chest. She smiled. Tommy slowly pet her hair, nicely. Shelby liked it so she let him continue. They stared up.

"Ya know. You are one of a kind." Shelby said. Tommy smirked.

"Yeah, Ms. Perfect."

"I'm not perfect." Shelby replied.

"Well to me you are." Tommy said looking down at her.

"Heh. Yeah." Shelby mumbled.

That night was the night of Valentines Day. All day, Tommy had dropped hint after hint to Shelby about him asking her something special. All day at school, notes in her locker, heart shaped paper airplanes during class, and a box of chocolates at the end of the day. He had never actually said the question yet, but he was going too. Tomorrow was Shelby's birthday. So he had to do something.

"Hey, Shub?" Tommy said. Shelby was quiet then said.

"Yeah Tom?" She replied.

Tommy sat up and Shelby did as well. They sat on their knees, facing one another. Tommy took Shelby's hands in his liking into her blue sparkling eyes.

"Will you, be my girlfriend?" He asked. Shelby seemed shocked, not answering for a moment.

With no words, Shelby pressed her lips up against Tommy's smiling. Then she broke it.

"Yes." She said. She hugged Tommy.

Tommy shocked at first, hugged her back smiling. He rested his head on hers. They were now a thing. Shelby could feel his love. It was nice, yet powerful. It was electric. His electric love.
