A story about how Alice and Moon meet with Gestalt in a different time

"Do we really have to go all the way to Germany for the whole summer vacation??" Complain the 14 years old boy said at his parents.

"Don't complain young man. You know full well we won't let you there all alone back home," said his father

"Could I just visit Red in Japan?"

"Moonlight we are going to Germany not only for vacation but also giving your sister the opportunity to visit her homeland," said his mother with a soft smile.

Moon look down at his sister who was finally asleep on his laps after getting in the airplane. The poor girl she didn't sleep at all last night. To excited to visit Germany. He sighs since he know that his precious little sister is looking forward for it.

"Fine... Only because I want starship to have a good time when we are there," Moon said as he pat gently her head.

"Good now then I remember Ram is around the area we will visit," his father said.

"Really?! Then can we go meet him?"

"Of course Moonlight," his mother said as she giggles at his excitement. "He will surely be happy to see you two,"

"I remember he mention that he get inform of a old building... do you think he is there for that?"

"Dunno but I suppose it's the reason he is there," his father said as he shrugs his shoulders.

After the long ride on the plane, they finally arrive to Germany.

"Wake up starship~" Moon said as he gently shake her

"Hmm?" Alice said as she open and rub her eyes.

"We are there sweetie~," Their mother said. Alice perk up and look at the window.

"We are really in Germany?!"

"Yes darling we are," his father said smiling at his excited daughter

"Yay! I want to visit every history places and try out all their food!" Alice said bouncing on her seat

"We will do all that once we put our luggages to the residence," her mother said patting her head.

Once they arrive to their residence, the maids and butlers took care of their luggages and bring them to their respective room

"Wow I didn't know we have a residence there!" Alice said as her eyes get bigger and sparkles.

Moon chuckles of how adorable his sister showing as they enter the residence

"It's one of the residence we have yes but this one is own by your gruncle. Since he used to live there when his wife was alive," their father said.

"Does that mean gruncle is there too?!" Alice said with sparklers eyes

"He said he was in Germany investigating a site. If he have the time we can hang out with him," said their mother. The children was excited to meet up with their grand uncle.

"My darling Aubrey, don't give them to much hope," her husband said

"Oh shush Abrax dear! I am sure Ram will have time to see his grandkids~" Aubrey said grinning at him.

Once they settle, the family decide to take their time to know abit the residence and eat indoors. More like the siblings went to look around almost getting lost on the process.

During their few days at Germany, the family have visiting different places of the territory and would go to the museums, popular tourism places and try out various locals foods. Today was an exciting day for the siblings. They were on their way to meet their gruncle at the site he have been investigate the last few days.

"What do you think he is looking?" Alice said as she look at the window

"Knowing gruncle it must me an ancient site with forgotten knowledge or something like that," Moon said as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Must be! I just cannot wait to meet with gruncle I miss him,"

"Yes me too,"

"You both don't miss your grandfather more?" Aubrey said.

"We do but grandpa admiral is always there to pay a visit. Gruncle is always on a trip," Moon said. He still remember when he was around Alice age when Ramuh would be always there and show him all of his knowledge about magic and science. He was closer to him than his actual grandfather. Alice love them both equally. She is always happy to see one of the other or both when it's happen.

"Papa is that the site?!" Alice said as she gasp at the view before them

"Seem so darling," Abrax said as he park in front of the site

The place was a rundown castle full of vines and broken places. It was surrounding by a large forest.

"It's impressive I am surprise no one saw it until now or even explore it," Moon said as he get out of the car and help Alice

"There is a reason for that Wunderknabe,"

"Grandpa!" Both the children said as they turn around and went to hug their grand uncle.

"Glad to see you two~" Ramuh said as he hug them back.

"Hello Ram," Aubrey said with a smile

"Hey old man," Abrax said as he warp his arm around Aubrey's waist

"Hello Aubrey, Abrax, how was the trip so far?"

"Good. Alice sure make us wandering around," Aubrey said as she giggles.

"I just want to see as much as possible!" Alice said with a cute pout.

"I understand that feeling mein süßer Engel," Ramuh said as he pat her head.

"Gramps what do you mean by the reason why no one saw that place?" Moon said looking at him

"Well... for what we gather so far is that the main reason is how it's been surround by this thick and vast forest," he said as he point out the forest

"What is the other reason?" Alice said curious

"The other reason is that this place is curse,"

The family went silence before they register the information

"Curse?!" They all said

"How?" Abrax said

"For what we gather so far is that some people end up missing when exploring that place and the locals were forbidden to go to this area to the point now one remember that place," Ramuh said as he look inside his notebook

"What kind of curse is this?" Aubrey said worry for the safety of her children

"It's seem like it's a trespassing curse which would be if anyone that is not reliate to the owner of this place shall suffer," Ramuh said

"Would we be fine being there?" Aubrey said worry.

"Of course my dear. The curse only trigger if we enter inside the building. Right now my team and I are just looking around the building and see if we have any clues that can tell us about the owner and the origine of this place," Ramuh said

"I see," Abrax said as he look up at the castle. "This place remind me of death," he said before he get smack in the arm by Aubrey

"Quiet you!" She said

"Ouch! But it's true!" He said as he rub his arm

"Grandpa can we explore around?"

"Hmm... as long you don't wonder to far, we don't know if there is any some sort of traps around," Ramuh said

"Don't worry gramps. Me and Alice will be fine," Moon said

"If you said so,"

"Don't wonder to far and make sure you go to where we can see you!" Aubrey said

"Yes mutter!" They both said as they went further away from the adults.

The children start walking around a while holding hands.

"This forest is so big!" Alice said as she look their surrounding

"It's sure is hopefully we don't encounter big animals," Moon said in a monotone voice

"Geeze brother! Don't freak me out like that!" Alice said as she playfully pout. He chuckles at her

"Sorry starlight you know I am blunt like that," he said as she pat her head

"I know," she simply said as they continue their walk. The more they walk, the less they saw the crew around. They didn't notice it until they end up to an abandoned tower

"Woah big brother! I didn't saw a tower this big before!" Alice said as she point out the tower

"Yeah, this is sure an isolated place," he said as he inspect the tower

"Do you think we can go inside?" Alice said getting curious about the tower

"Gramps said their is a curse for trespassing the place," Moon said.

"But he said the castle was curse. He never said about this tower," Alice said as she resonate him. He thought about it for a moment before he reply

"You know what? You are right about it. Let's explore that tower~" Moon said as they both skipped toward the tower entrance

"This door is weird brother,"

"How so?"

"Can't you see?! It's doesn't have an handle!"

"True but that mean that this door open differently,"

"How?"

Moon approach the so called door and touch it.

"There should be a way to open it..."

"Big brother look! I found something on the wall!"

"What it's said?" As he come to her side

"Hmm... it's said one shall put a hand on the door and said their full name. Only 2 names can be recognized by this door. Said the wrong name they shall perish for trespassing... that is scary," Alice said as she look at Moon

"True... but should we try? What bad can be happen?" Moon said with a blank face

"But it's said we could perish if we said the wrong name!"

"That is just to scare the trespassers," he said as he shrugs his shoulders

"... then should we try then?"

"Since we are there why not?"

"Ok then, but if something bad happen I am telling mama you were responsable!"

"Fair enough,"

They both face the door. They put a hand on the door and took a deep breath before telling their name

"Alice Star Clearwater,"

"Moon Clearwater,"

Nothing happen.

"Maybe we-" Alice couldn't finish her sentence when the door start to glow and different runes appear in front of them. They saw a message that said 'welcome back masters' before it's shatter. The glow stop and it's come back to it's original state

"What was that?!"

"Dunno but look sis. The door is now open," as he point out the door

The siblings peek inside the room. It was dark and they can see a few dust and old furniture

"It's look like metal and I see glasses," Alice said

"Me too, let's get in,"

"Ok, but we need something to light up the place no?" As she hold his hand

"I guess so," he open is palm in front of them

"Fox fire," a blue fire ball appear and lift up on his palm. The light of the fire ball allow the siblings to see forward

"Woah! It's remind me of grandpa lab!"

"That is true... it's seem like this tower was actually a laboratory... let's see what we can find,"

"Ok," Alice said excited to see more

They keep walking and they spot more items that's show different type of technologies

"Wow brother it's like we found some lost technologies! It's strange that no one found this place before,"

"True it's like... this tower was waiting for us. I mean think about it. It's open the moment we said our names and said 'welcome back masters' something or someone was waiting for us,"

"It's crazy but maybe you are right! Let's see if we can get any informations of that place,"

Moon agree and they explore some more until they arrive for, what they believe, is the main room

"Big brother this room is huge!"

"I can see that... hmm? What is that?" Moon said as he approach to the middle of the room. "Is that a book?"

In front of him is a book on a display. Moon was curious and started to stretch his hand toward the book when Alice start calling him

"Brother! I found a weird panels!" Alice said jumping up and down

"Starlight don't touch any buttons we don't know what they do," he said as he turn his attention to her

"But those buttons are so tempting to be press," she said as she show her puppy eyes to him. Moon look away as he clearly know that his sister plan was to convince him to let her press a button. And as he hate to admit it...

It's work.

"Fine! But you can only press one button!"

"Yay!" She said and look carefully the set of buttons on the panel. One caught her eyes. This particular button was green with the letter 'O' in the middle of it.

"What this one do~?" Alice said excited as she press it.

The tower seem to come back to life as the monitor, the panel start glowing and machine noise was hear all around them. Moon keep his sister next to her in a protective manners and look around as the place luminate itself.

"What-"

"Greetings Masters,"

The siblings get startle in surprise of the sudden voice

"Who are you?" Moon said

"How rude of me. My name is OCTIVE. I am A.I that serve it's design Master. I also know to hack the system to gather information and renforce the security system for my master,"

"Who is your master?" Alice said looking at the screen

"... I barely have a vague memory on my system from my previous master. I conclude my 0revious master erase his identity for the sake of protecting his secrets," OCTIVE said.

Moon frown a bit of this information. So we may never know the real identity of the owner of this area... he thought as he contemplate the room on more time. His eyes stop at the book he saw earlier.

"Hey Octive, what is that book?"

"This book?...scanning... processing.... done. This book is the book of knowledge of magic of any kind. Forbidden or not this book register all kind of artifacts, spells, medecine, poison and also long lost technologies," OCTIVE said

"Woah!" Alice said as her eyes sparkles intriguing by the book

"Interesting~ let's grab that too~" Moon said as he go near the book

"Big brother I want to see it too!" Alice said as she run toward him and the book

"Let me handle it first before I show it to you,"

"Liar! You will start reading it as soon you get your hand on it! Which mean it's will take weeks or even months before you let me glance the book," Alice said pouting. He didn't said anything since she said the truth. He was about to said something when she  put her hand on the book at the same time as him

"Wait Al!" As soon their hands touch the book, it's start glowing faintly and start moving. Moon grab his sister and took a few steps back as they observe the book floating in front of them.

"Yawn..."

"Who said that??" Alice said

"It's the book little master,"

"What do you mean?"

"Exactly what he said. I am the one that yawn since I have been asleep for many years," the book said

"Oh my God! Big brother it's a talking book!" Her eyes sparkles of excitement.

"I see that. So what are you?"

"I am a book obviously. My sole duty is to gain knowledge and teach my master about magics and other stuffs," the book said

"What is your name?" Alice said

"My name?... it's been so long... Gestalt... my name is Gestalt. Little one,"

"Nice to meet you Gestalt! My name is Alice and this is my big brother Moon!" She said smiling at Gestalt

"Moon and Alice?... those name sound familiar," he said on a whisper

"Indeed they do sound familiar old friend,"

"You guys are friends?" Moon said speechless that a book and a machine are friends

"Well yes, we are stuck inside that tower and we serve the same master long ago," Gestalt said

"Is the owner is your creator?" Moon said

"My previous master did indeed create me as for Gestalt..."

"My creator create me long ago before I serve my Master alongside with OCTIVE," Gestalt explain

"Oh I see," Moon simply said

"Big brother..."

"Yes starship?"

"Can we bring them with us?"

"I was thinking the same thing,"

"Sorry what? Bringing with us? What do you mean?"

"You see book. Me and my sister doesn't live in this area. We live in another country call America,"

"New York city to be precise," Alice said with a smile

"Not living there... what year is this?"

"1914" Moon said

"Wow we sleep for that long?" Gestalt said

"Guess so," Moon said as he shrugs his shoulders

"So what do you guys said? Wanna come with us? I mean it's obvious that your previous owner die for a long time. Come with us! You will see alot of different stuffs!" Alice said

The machine and the book thought about it before giving their attention to the siblings

"I mean since we are awake and all,"

"Exploring wouldn't be so bad,"

"Then is that a yes?!" Alice said

"Yes, little master. It is a yes,"

"Yay!" Alice said jumping in excitement

"Before we go. There is something you both most do," Gestalt said

"And what is it?" Moon said as he raise an eyebrow

"You two have to claim us as our new masters,"

"If not we won't be able to move around freely,"

"Ok... how we do that?"

"For me just touch me, said your name and pledge that your will be my masters as I will pledge my loyalty to you both," Gestalt explain

"For me, you have to write your information to the database directly on my motherboard so I can knowledge you two as my masters," OCTIVE said

The siblings look at each and nods. What so bad that can happen?

They both process the ownership on both of the book and the A.I.

Little did they know, that what they have done have lift the curse of the castle. The adults was surprise and confuse of the phenomenon but use this opportunity to explore inside

"Octive? How do we transport you?" Alice ask

"Simple little master, just take my  motherboard with you and install me on my new computer,"

"Ok but does that mean you won't be able to talk to us?"

"Unfortunately I won't be able until you put my motherboard on a computer desktop,"

"Oh well I can use this opportunity to check on you and see if you need some repair," Moon said

"I appreciate the gesture master,"

The siblings took the book and the motherboard with them. They left the tower and return to the adults.

"Moon! Alice! Where were you?" Aubrey said as she come near them and hug them both

"Exploring," they both said

"You worry your mother when we couldn't find you," Abrax said

"Sorry mama,"

"Sorry mutter,"

"It's fine you both are fine. What is it in your arms?" As she point the book and the motherboard

"We found it," they both said

"I see anyways we should get going. Ram is getting excited to look around the castle and it's getting late," Abrax said

"Are you two hungry?"

"I am famished!"

"Meh barely,"

"I will take that as a yes from you young man, time to go," Abrax said

The siblings leave with their parents leaving behind the castle and it's secret. However, they did gain something from that place.
