The young girl, covered her mouth trying to calm her breathing as she heard the dragging of a body against the hard floors outside her door, the body of her father after being brutally murdered by her own mother, the girl's hand trembled and shaked with fear, unavailable fear

"Nicole" Her mother's voice cooed, slowly making her to the door, seeing her shadow under the creek of the door

"Open the door sweetheart, it's mommy, it's okay" her voice hummed, Nikki knew her words not to be true, her mother never kept her safe, not even from her father, who'd come home angry, "Good girls don't lie" he'd say, but Nikki knew the things she saw, the symbols, the sacrifices, the blood, the screams.

"Oh please Nicole, it's only mommy" She heard those cries, the cries that always manipulated her, but she knew the cries were not of desperation but of craziness, please don't open the door

Silence seem to fell for a moment as Nikki hummed to herself, seemingly it stopped time for her, as she heard the door slowly open

"Found you" she heard her mother say, looking down at her child with evil intentions, Nikki closed her eyes tightly and waited for time

"It's been seven years since the butchered bodies of Edward Marsh Brown and his daughter Nicole Marsh Brown were found in their home, Debbie Brown the mother of Nicole Marsh Brown, is believed to had killed them in a cult like sacrifice" the police reports read

Keith sighed sitting on the park bench with his daughter Nikki, at the cemetery, looking out on the graves,her own grave, Keith brought his arm around the poor child

"My dear" he said "You are still very much alive to me, even if not by logical means" he said whipping the blood and tears from her eyes

"Come on that's get home before your father gets worried sick" Keith chuckled, taking the small child's hand, well not as small anymore, she had grown to be 10 now, she smiled laying against her dad's arm, finally safe with a loving family.
