A/N: Hey my loves. Since "What Makes a Family" was so well received I decided to write this one shot as a spin-off so Christian and Mia are back! Enjoy! :)  

AUTHOR'S POV

Laurent slides the key card in the door of the executive suite he's been staying in for the past week. As a doctor, he has medical conferences he has to attend throughout the year. He wouldn't have left his beautiful family around the holidays for any other reason. It's been a successful business trip but thankfully he only had one meeting lined up for today so he's officially done. He places his briefcase down then begins to unravel his tie as he takes a look at the clock on the desk which reads 12:20 pm. He told Larry what time his meeting was ending and they agreed to get on FaceTime. Larry's on Christmas vacation from his amazing career as a school teacher so he's been taking care of the kids for the most part but ever since their family came back into their lives mama has dropped by a few days to help. Laurent has a few minutes until it's time to see the face of the man he adores so he changes out of his suit into some lounge wear then grabs his phone and plops down on the bed. He's already smiling before he hits the button for his love and when Larry answers their eyes light up at the sight of each other...

Laurent: *smile* "Hey bebe". 

Larry: *smile* "Hey my love. How was your meeting"?

Laurent: "It was good". *laugh* "A little boring actually...but I'm glad to see you and I can't wait to see this sweet face close to mine". 

Larry: "This phone is not enough baby. I miss waking up to your face". 

Laurent: "You get to see it tomorrow". 

Larry: "I can't wait. I miss you so much".

Laurent: "I miss you too".  

In the background are the sounds of their sweet Christian. At only eight months he's soaring developmentally and he's still that happy boy who's always talking. Or at least trying to. Hearing such a sweet sound Laurent smiles wider...

Laurent: "I hear my sweet boy". 

Larry: *smile* "Hold on. I'll get him". 

Laurent nods through that warm smile and waits patiently to see that little face. Now on Larry's lap Laurent's heart melts at the beautiful way Larry tries to get him to look at the phone...

Larry: *smile* "Christian". *playful gasp* "Who's that"? *pause* "Look. Who is that"?

When Christian finally focuses on the screen and he sees Laurent he gets very excited and belts out, "da"! He starts waving his arms and clapping his tiny hands in excitement...

Laurent: *laugh* "Hey my sweet boy". 

Christian can hardly contain himself and his talking is beyond adorable. Laurent can't help but laugh while also melting into a puddle of baby goo. He smiles and asks, "where's your sister"? Of course Christian isn't at the full talking stage. Laurent is just being the playful and engaged papa he always is. Now little man is cackling out of control because he's so happy at who he sees. Larry eventually answers the question... 

Larry: *smile* "She's taking a nap". 

Laurent: "Oki. Well give my sleeping beauty a kiss for me". 

Larry: "I will baby". 

Laurent: "Thank you my love". 

Larry: "Welcome". 

Laurent: "So did mama come today"?

Larry: "Yeah. She brought food again so I don't have to cook while taking care of the babies". 

Laurent: *smile* "That's mama". 

Larry: *smile* "It is and Christian loved the homemade oatmeal. They played together too". 

Laurent: "So sweet". 

Laurent suddenly yawns and Larry knows it's because his hardworking husband is tired from what had to be a long, stressful week...

Larry: "You should get some rest baby". 

Laurent: "I think I will my love. It's been a long day...but I can't wait to see my family tomorrow". 

Larry: "We are so ready to see you". 

Laurent: *smile"That's all I can think for". *pause* "Oki. I'm going now bebe". *looks at Christian* "Bye my sweet boy". 

Larry: *smile* "Say bye papa. We love you". 

Laurent: *smile* "I love you too". 

The FaceTime session reluctantly comes to an end...but what Larry isn't aware of is that Laurent booked a flight that takes off in a couple of hours so not only will it be a complete surprise, he'll be home early enough to spend some time with his family then help Larry tuck their sweet bundles of joy in their cribs for the night. Christmas is in a couple of days and his heart flutters just at the thought of watching everyone open gifts as they share in their first Christmas together. As he's packing up his things he thinks about how excited Christian was and he hears his own laugh echoing around the room. Princess Mia is only four months so in some aspects she can't get as excited...but she definitely knows her papa. She smiles and just like Christian used to do at that age she kicks her legs and waves her arms when she sees him. Laurent lives for moments like those...but what truly gets to him is when he sits back and watches his love with their babies. Larry reads to them a lot and he's certain that Christian is as advanced as he is because of that. It's the teacher in him but there's also nothing he loves more than spending time with them. It's been several months since their family became complete and each day gets better and better. Their marriage is stronger than ever and they've joked to each other that they've had to pinch themselves to make sure it's all really happening. They're just overjoyed and now with such a special time of year the smiles on their faces have been a constant. Laurent is almost done packing so he stops to call the front desk to request a car service as he wants to make sure he gets there early enough to check in. He will have to wait a while before take off...but knowing that he's only a flight away he doesn't mind at all...

The flight home was as smooth as silk and when Laurent felt closer to being home he could feel butterflies in his tummy. When the plane began to descend he smiled because it was just a matter of loading a car with his bags and directing the driver home. Now en route Laurent decides to call his love and he knows exactly the questions Larry will ask so he will have a little fun with him. After two rings he hears a sweet smile through an even sweeter voice...

Larry: *smile* "My love". 

Laurent: *smile* "My bebe". 

Larry: "Everything oki for your flight tomorrow"?

Laurent: "Uhh yeah, everything is good my love". 

Larry: "Did you get enough rest"?

Laurent: "Yes I did".  

Larry: *smile* "Good". *pause* "I can't wait to cook for you. I know you're tired of restaurant and hotel food". 

Laurent: "I'm so ready for that bebe. I love your cooking". 

Larry: *smile* "You always make me smile when you say that".

Laurent: *smile* "It's true". 

Larry: "Thank you". 

Laurent: *smile and wink* "Welcome". 

Larry: "So are you doing anything your last night there"?

Laurent: "Um, no. I think I'm just going to relax".

Larry: "I wish we could have come with you. That way you wouldn't be alone in that hotel. We could do things as a family".  

Laurent is finding it difficult to keep it together but he also doesn't want to spoil the surprise. Larry has no idea that he'll be there in only a few minutes and he can't wait to see the look on his face. Until then he'll just flow with it...

Laurent: "I would love to have my family with me but don't worry bebe. We will go on holiday a lot as a family". 

Larry: *smile* "Oki". 

Now the driver is pulling into their neighborhood so Laurent has to say goodbye to what Larry thinks will be until tomorrow...

Laurent: "I have to go now bebe". 

Larry: "Oki. I love you". 

Laurent: "I love you more". 

Laurent releases the call and he can't pretend he didn't hear a slight sadness in Larry's voice. Specifically when he was talking about going on holiday as a family and wishing they all could have been with him to do things together whenever Laurent's work days ended. That's why coming home today will be the ultimate surprise and witnessing Larry's signature smile is what he's waiting for. Holding his little loves in his arms will be equally as beautiful. The driver pulls into the driveway and steps out to remove Laurent's bags for him and after paying him Laurent takes off for the front door which the entire porch is adorned in Christmas decorations that none other than his love put together...

Such a talented man his love is who has always loved Christmas. He quietly inserts the key in the door and softly pushes it open. Right away he can hear Christian's joyful sounds in the air and he figures they're all in the living room. He places his bags down then takes quiet steps around the corner and sure enough there they are. Christian is at the stage where he can sit up on his own so surrounded by toys and his papa Larry playing with him they're smiling and laughing at each other. Right next to them is Princess Mia in her swing...those beautiful eyes focused on her big brother and papa while being completely entertained by them. Laurent is close to not saying anything as it's such a beautiful scene to watch...but he eventually does. He smiles as he calls out, "papa's home". Larry's head pops up and over in the direction of the voice and his mouth drops while Christian belts out an excited utterance upon seeing him. Now that he can crawl he immediately gets in that position and as he's crawling at full speed over to him he's smiling and cackling. Laurent laughs as he watches him and just when Christian is right under him he bends down and picks him up...

Laurent: *kisses cheek* "Hey my sweet boy! I missed you"! 

Christian's legs are kicking and his arms are waving excitedly as it's clear he missed his papa like crazy. Larry is walking towards them with Mia in his arms still shocked...

Laurent: *smile* "Hey bebe. Surprised"?

Larry: *smile* "Yes I'm surprised! I think you still away"! 

Laurent chuckles and now with Larry in front of him he leans forward to plant a warm kiss on his lips. He then looks at Mia who's already recognized him and is smiling beautifully...

Laurent: "Aww hello my princess". *kisses forehead* "Papa missed you too". 

It's as if Mia understood exactly what he said because she's now mirroring Christian with kicking her legs to which Laurent laughs then turns back to his love...

Larry: "I can't believe you didn't tell me". 

Laurent: *smile* "Well if I did that it would ruin the surprise". 

Larry: *chuckles* "Yeah you're right". *pause* "I'm so glad you're finally home baby". 

Laurent: "It feels good to be home. I missed all of you so much". 

Larry: "We missed you too. Right babies"? 

The happy squealing just continues and Laurent finds himself belting out a hearty laugh...

Larry: *smile* "They love you". 

Laurent: *smile* "I love them". 

Larry: "Come on. Let's go over here". 

Now in the same spot they were in Laurent places a kiss to Christian's forehead before placing him down on the floor then he extends his arms to take Mia from Larry so he can hold her...

Larry: *smile* "I really thought you wouldn't be here until tomorrow. This was the best surprise". 

Laurent: *smile* "I'm glad bebe". *pause* "So what's for dinner"?

Larry: *laugh* "Salmon, rice and vegetables".

Laurent: *smile* "Mmm. You making that Thai glaze I love so much"?

Larry: *smile* "I am". 

As they engage in conversation Mia is so mesmerized by Laurent she takes her tiny hand to grab his face and coos as if she's talking to him. Laurent acknowledges everything and responds by talking to her in his soft baby voice or giving her sweet kisses. Larry's heart flutters as he watches papa and daughter. In between he looks down at Christian happily playing with his blocks then he looks in the direction of their festive Christmas tree with all the presents underneath...

Larry's eyes become misty as he and Laurent will be sharing their first Christmas with Christian and Mia. He laughs internally at the thought of Christian trying his best to open his gifts and he can't wait to see the look on his face as his presents are revealed. Mia too. His vision is so strong that he doesn't hear Laurent calling him at first but then he snaps back...

Laurent: *smile* "What you think for"?

Larry: *smile* "I just can't believe it baby. For a long time we weren't sure if we would ever have a family but we do now and it's Christmas. My favorite time of year and we have babies to share it with". 

Laurent: *smile* "Amazing babies and we will make more memories that will last forever".

Laurent winks at him and they put their attention back on the little ones where the play and laughter is nonstop. As the day progresses into evening Laurent takes on papa duty while Larry cooks the succulent dinner. From changing diapers to feedings, he takes care of it all. Dinner finally comes together so they keep the kids occupied with toys but of course they pay close attention to them in between. Laurent savors every bite and he realizes just how much he missed meals like this all week. Meals that have that special Larry touch of which no chef in the world can match. They shared details of their week and after their bellies were full and the dishes were washed it was bath time. Laurent bathes his little sidekick and Larry bathes princess Mia followed by changing them into bedtime onesies. They then transition to story time to get them relaxed for bed. What's so sweet about this moment is that Larry reads while holding Mia with Laurent across from him holding Christian as they all listen to the animated yet soothing voice of papa Larry. The sound eventually puts them to sleep so Larry and Laurent smile at those sweet, adorably round faces then quietly stand up to put them in their cribs taking turns whispering good night to each before softly exiting the room. Now, it's their time together and after one full week being a part with nothing but a phone between them there's only one thing they can possibly do so Laurent takes Larry by the hand as they walk into the bedroom...

Laurent sweetly instructs Larry to stretch across the bed on his stomach with a special request of turning his head to the side as he rests against the pillows. He wants to give his body a rub down to spoil him but also in large appreciation of taking such good care of the kids while he was away...and loving their family as much as he does. He takes his large hands and begins a deep tissue massage on the back of Larry's thighs to which Larry hums erotically. He then moves those hands up to that firm, plump backside and grabs with all his might...but also tenderly. After several moments there he switches to his thumbs and begins stroking the small of his back in an alternating back and forth motion. He tilts his head to get a glimpse of Larry's face which is why he requested that Larry turn his head to the side. He wants to see the expression on his face as he's setting the mood. He smiles because Larry's bottom lip is sucked in and he can tell he's also biting down on it slightly at the sensation of such an amazing massage. Those thumbs then transition to his strong hands again as he works every ball of tension out of Larry's back...

Laurent: "How does that feel bebe", he whispers.

Larry: "Mmm. So good baby". 

Laurent: "Good", he whispers again. 

He attaches his hands to Larry's shoulders and massages deeply. Then he feels the urge to lean down and kiss Larry's soft cheek. It isn't long after that he grabs himself to enter his love and take him gently from behind. A deep gasp echos from both them and in between strokes he's kissing Larry's cheek whilst telling him how amazing he feels and how in love he is with him. He stops only for a moment to flip them over so Laurent is on his back and Larry can ride him. Larry's eyes close as he places his hands on Laurent's hard chest. Up and down he goes as he tilts his head to the side with his eyes remaining closed. Laurent's hands run up and down that smooth chest but then Larry grabs his arms and erotically pins them next to his head as he kisses him hard. Laurent was so turned on by that he flips them over again, props Larry on his knees and slides back inside of him. Larry's face begins twisting into all kinds of expressions. From his eyes closed with furrowed eyebrows at how amazing it feels to licking his lips as well as the inevitable lip bite. Laurent's head is down as he watches himself slide in and out but he eventually throws it back and closes his eyes. It's a beyond amazing moment of ecstasy...but their lovemaking wouldn't be complete without the opportunity to gaze into each other's eyes especially when it's that time to release the orgasms that are already stirring so Laurent stops his strokes to turn Larry on his back. Larry was feeling so amazing that he feels his manhood throbbing as its aching to be back inside of him again. Once he eases back in his eyes instantly close and his own bottom lip finds its way sucked in. Outside the wind is blowing through the trees and the temperature has dropped to the point that light snowflakes begin falling from the sky and covering the beautifully landscaped grounds like a blanket. It just couldn't get more beautiful and as they climax simultaneously Laurent's mouth falls open as a single tear slides down his cheek, falls right at his chin and onto Larry's chest where it merely blends in with the thick coating of sweat that had been building since this insane lovemaking session began. Larry's body is shaking beneath him and as he's trying to bring himself down from such a powerful force Laurent leans down and switches his kisses from Larry's cheek and neck until it finally subsides. Laurent's tongue is the perfect tool to clean up the thick, warm spillage glistening beautifully on Larry's abs and when the last drop slides down his throat effortlessly he connects with Larry as they smile sweetly at each other thus putting an end to another beautiful moment...

A hot shower together was next on the agenda and it was a playful time. Of course seeing their hard bodies with hot water splashed on them was enough to make it round two but they held back as they just wanted to be silly together. When they got out they dried each other off then walked into the bedroom to slip on some bedclothes and get in bed. Naturally they were so wrapped up in the moment they didn't notice the snow outside which is even thicker now. Since they were kids Larry's eyes always lit up at the sight of snow and next to each other they merely watch it...

Larry: "You know what I can't wait for"?

Laurent: "What's that bebe"?

Larry: "When Christian and Mia can walk so we can take them out to play in the snow". 

Laurent: *chuckles* "Yeah I can picture them with their coats, hats and mittens making snowballs. Us helping them build a snowman". 

Larry: "That will be so fun". 

Laurent: *smile* "It will be. Next year we can do that".

Larry: *smile* "Yeah", he whispers. 

Larry suddenly yawns so Laurent lightly chuckles then pulls him in as he places Larry's head on his chest. Followed by a light kiss to his forehead is a beautifully whispered...

Laurent: "Get some sleep my love". 

Larry: "Oki baby", he whispers back. 

Larry falls asleep instantly and Laurent isn't too far behind with the last thought being what a wonderful and joyous holiday season this is...

~Christmas Day~

Since the snow fall on the night they made love it's snowed again which makes for a White Christmas. They made it a point to wake up before they knew the kids would so they could prepare and eat breakfast. The aroma in the home is a combination of common seasonal aromas such as that refreshing pine smell, Christmas candles, and in the background freshly brewed coffee. With robes on they're sitting on the couch watching TV as they wait to hear those little voices over the monitor and when they hear them together they're up in a flash and heading for the nursery. First it's sweet good mornings then diaper changes and feedings before gathering near the Christmas tree to open presents...

With the floor covered in wrapping paper Larry and Laurent have thoroughly enjoyed watching their babies enjoy their gifts. Christian even has a toy car that they plan on taking him out to the driveway to push him in. Then it was time for them to exchange their gifts for each other. Larry gasps as his mouth falls open at a beautiful iced out diamond Cuban link bracelet. He's had his eyes on it and of course Laurent notices everything about his love so it was the perfect gift...

Larry: "Thank you baby. I wanted this ever since I saw it". 

Laurent: *chuckles* "Well now you have it my love". 

Larry: *smile* "Here's your present". 

Laurent slowly takes the beautifully wrapped present as his eyes stay locked on Larry's. He smiles and winks but he notices the package is rather heavy so he opens it with care. Just like Larry's mouth fell open at his gift Laurent's does too as he's looking at a glass heart-shaped plaque with engraving...

"To the best husband and the best papa in the whole world. No gift can ever show you how much you mean to this family. We all love you so, so much.

Laurent's heart is so full it could burst. He looks up at Larry and when Larry sees tears fall from his eyes he gently wipes them away then leans forward to give him a soft kiss...

Larry: "I love you".

Laurent: "I love you too". 

After such a sweet gift exchange they take a moment to call their family...but they didn't get an answer which they think is very odd. They haven't been out so they don't know if the streets are safe enough to drive so where they all could be is a mystery. Suddenly the door bell rings and Laurent stays with the babies while Larry goes to answer. To his surprise mama and all of their siblings are standing in front of him with wide smiles...

Larry: *smile* "Hey. We called you and we got worried because you didn't answer and we didn't know if it's safe to drive". 

Mama: *smile* "The roads are fine son and we know this is the babies first Christmas so we had to be here". 

Larry: *smile* "I'm happy you're here. Laurent and the babies will be happy too. Come in". 

They all come inside and stop to give Larry a hug. Laurent has already heard their voices so he's standing in place waiting to greet them the same way. They have bags of gifts and he's ticked by it because they love to spoil the babies of which they see regularly so Christian and Mia instantly get excited upon seeing them. As the presents are being opened and revealed Laurent jokingly says to Larry...

Laurent: *laugh* "We need another room just for toys". 

Larry: *laugh* "Yes we do". 

They watch and laugh for a few more moments then Laurent asks... 

Laurent: "Anybody want something to drink? Coffee? Hot apple cider"?

Mama: "Apple cider sounds good son". 

Laurent: "Oki. Coming right up". 

Laurent leaves Larry's side for a moment to go and warm up the cider. Since it will take a few minutes he goes back to his love but this time he walks up behind him, wraps his arms around his torso then kisses his neck and cheek before joining him in looking at all the joy and laughter among everyone...especially Christian and Mia. Larry places his arms on top of Laurent's as the scene before them nearly moves him to tears and when Laurent catches a glimpse he squeezes a little tighter as he whispers in his ear...

Laurent: "Merry Christmas bebe". 

Larry: "Merry Christmas my love".
