The Secret

((Dude I fell in love with Steven Universe. Have a Minecraft Skydee parody. Cameo of Void from Thalia Kal's Archive series))

It was dark. That's all Jason could think of when he woke up in the squid prison block. He looked around trying to remember what happened.

They were outnumbered. Badly. Jason held his head and groaned. Sky was trying to protect them and he...

"Jason! Ty! Get back!" Sky yelled to them. "Run to the other bases while you can!"

"We're not leaving you! We need to stick together!" Ty yelled back.

"I'm not letting you risk your lives!" Sky cried.

The sound of a military chopper kept them from saying anything else. It landed in front of them, bloweing debri and and kicked-up dirt every where. Sky glared at it in anger. "Stay behind me, then." He growled as it opened up, revealing the squid warlord.

He looked at the remaining rebels and scoffed. "This? This is all that's left of Void's army?" He said gesturing to Sky and his "army".

"Some lost kid?" He said gesturing to Ty. "An Alien freak?" He said, turning to Jason. "And this run-a-way disaster?" He said looking at Sky, who glared back.

The man grinned smugly at Sky. "You two are gonna wish you followed orders."

Sky finally clenched his fist and with a roar of anger, brought his knuckles right to his jaw. The commander stumbled back before laughing. He brought up his sword, which was pulsating a strange light before stabbing it through Sky. He was totally unprepared, along with the rest of the army. Jason and Ty screamed as Sky glowed and looked like he was being torn apart. He was frozen as the squid general watched with glee as he split down the middle and disappeared. A purple gem lied on the ground with a smooth golden rock beside it.

Sky was gone.

Then he looked straight at Ty and Jason as they were frozen in shock and fear. "Oh how sad." The general mocked as he picked up the two stones. He stood up and turned toward his comrades. "GENERAL SKY IS GONE!" He shouted as his fellow soldiers hooted with laughter and cheered.

Jason didn't remember much after that...He must've fainted. All his mind could go back to is those two gems and Sky. How did Squids have technology so advanced that they could literally split apart? And what was with those two gems? They looked like the remains of his amulet but separated. Jason shook his head. He didn't have time to worry about it. He had to find the others.

He went over to the cell wall. It was made out of this force field mechanic, but when he stuck his hand out through it, it just tingled. No doubt this was meant to hurt humans, but luckily for Jason, he wasn't human. He forced himself through it and grinned.

"Stupid Squids." He chuckled.

"NYGAHHH!!!" Some one shouted, something rough hitting a wall. "LET ME OUT OF HERE!" Jason ran over to the sound and watch as a man with black hair and pale skin clutched his hand. He wore a black button up shirt with a grey vest and black pants. His top was unbuttoned to where you could see a purple gem on his chest. He had a purple tint to him as well. Sunglasses covered his eyes which Jason could only assume were fit to burst into flames if he got any angrier.

"Um, hello?"

The man recoiled in surprise. It took him awhile to answer. Jason jumped as he slammed his fist into the wall. "GREAT! This is just PERFECT!" He yelled.

"Um, do you need any help?"

"NO! I mean, er- Just don't look at me." He said angrily, turning away from Jason. Jason took a step before the man spoke up.

"Wait! You- how did you escape?!" He said, reaching out to touch the barrier. He screamed in pain and anger as it burned his hand. "What's going on?" He mumbled. The conversation was cut short by someone singing.

"Some one is singing." The blonde said looking around.

"Adam..." The man breathed. "Let me out of here please! I have to find Adam!"

"Who's-"

"Please! He's all alone I need to find him!" The man yelled.

"Uh, here. Don't worry, I'm looking for my friends too." Jason said, stepping into the barrier and reaching his arm out like a canopy. The man looked up and slid out then ran towards the voice.

"So, um, how many people do you think are still trapped here?" Jason said running beside him.

The man snarled. "Don't know, don't care." The singing stopped.

"He stopped. ADAM!" The man yelled. Jason still hadn't learned his name.

"Do you-"

"QUIET!! I can't see!" The man said clutching his head. Jason looked at him oddly and turned around. He gasped as he saw a cell with a familiar face in the distance.

"Ty!" Jason yelled excitedly running over to his cell.

The man looked up and gasped. "J-Jason? You're alive?!" He asked excitedly, hope igniting in his eyes. Jason reached up to the barrier to free him. "Wait, don't!"

"No, Ty, it's ok, see?" Jason said, showing him that his words were true. Ty grinned and stepped out before tackling Jason in a hug.

"Oh my god, they told me they had killed you! I shouldn't have believed them but- oh my god, I'm so glad you're safe!" Ty said, kissing him passionately.

"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!" The man screamed running off in a different direction.

Ty stopped and looked at the man oddly. He looked down at Jason who's waist was tucked in his arm and his cheeks were burning red with eyes full of tears. "Oh, I was worried about you, my little angel." He said, kissing him again. Jason giggled before standing up straight.

"Come on. We need to find that guy." Jason said. Ty nodded as they ran after him.

Jason looked down a hallway before stopping. "The singing is back." He said to Ty.

"I heard that while I was in my cell. It's kind of sounds like Sky, just not." He said, his face darkening at the thought of their friend.

Jason grabbed his hand. "We can mourn later. We need to get off this thing first."

Ty nodded with determination before gasping. "Get down!" He hissed, shoving Jason into a hallway and pressing their backs against the wall.

"We can't head back yet!" Someone shouted walking down the hall they were just in. They didn't see the two.

"There are still other Sky Army bases out there! If we go back now, the job is unfinished!"

The general slammed his fist into the wall beside a cell block. "STOP SINGING!" He roared, the singing silencing. "Sky's defeat takes priority! As long as those two aren't together, our mission is complete. Now get back to the communications room, and let the Squid Council know of their separation." The general yelled.

The two left the hall, and immediately the singing began again. Jason ran out of the hall and went over to the cell. The person stopped singing and looked at them both with relief and sadness mixed together, it seemed. "Hey, are you Adam?" He whispered, letting him out.

"Yes. Thank you, Jason. You as well, Ty." He said with a small smile. He had long brown hair that hung over his eyes and tan skin. He wore a long yellow cardigan with a white shirt underneath and black leggings. A smooth yellow gem was on his chest.

"ADAM!" The three heard the stranger from earlier scream. Adam gasped and grabbed their arms.

"Come on!" He said, running towards the voice's owner with inhuman speed. He stopped suddenly, letting the two males fall to the ground in dizziness. Adam looked at the door across from him and gasped.

"Ian!" He cried happily, the two running to greet each other in a passionate kiss. Ian cupped his lover's face with worry.

"Did they hurt you?" He asked, brushing the brown locks out Adam's eyes.

"No, no. I'm alright. Did they hurt you?"

Ian laughed with tears in his eyes. "Who cares?!"

"I do!" Adam cried.

Ian laughed, his lover joining him as they danced together. Ty and Jason watched with content and understanding before gasping in shock as a bright light engulfed the two. Their gemstones danced with the light and began to changed into what looked like Sky's amulet. The light morphed into a figure and Jason and Ty gasped as Sky hit the ground with a laugh that the two hadn't heard in a very long time.

Sky grinned and hugged himself tightly before looking at the two with three eyes they didn't know he had. "Jason! Ty!" He shouted running over to them and wrapping them in a hug. "Thank you!"

"You're alive?!" Jason asked happily as they released.

"What just happened?!" Ty continued, ready to burst with joy.

"I-I'm sorry, we didn't want you meeting us here like this."

Jason looked at Ty. "Well, did we make a good impression?" He asked sheepishly.

Sky chuckled. "Oh guys, we already loved you." He smiled kindly.

A voice split through the air. "WHERE IS HE?!"

Sky stood up and narrowed his eyes. "It's the squid general. Look, I'll explain this later, but you two need to free every recruit you can and get out of here!"

"But what about you?!" Ty asked.

"Don't worry." Sky said putting on his sunglasses and hiding his three eyes. "I got this."

The two smiled and went off in another direction. The general entered the room as they did. "Great. Now you're both out. And you're fused again."

Sky chuckled and looked at him. "Aw, miss me?" He said smugly.

The general groaned. "Why? Why are you still fused? I've seen who you really are. Quit embarrassing yourselves!"

Sky chuckled darkly as two glowing yellow swords appeared in his hands. "No you haven't."

((psyche. No song for you.))

((Oh fine.))

This is Sky, back together
and I'm never going down at the hands by the likes of you,
cause I'm so much better.
And every part of me is saying go get him.

Sky got into a fighting stance as the Squid mirrored him. This was it. This was a fight that stood for everything he...they believed in. He could feel their souls pulsing together as one.

The two of us ain't gonna follow your rules
Come at me without any of your fancy tools

The general pulled out his sword again. One hit by that and Sky was gone. He clutched his swords tighter. No, he would win.

Let's go just one on two.
Let's go just me and you.

He ducked as the squid charged at him, the sword missing him by inches. This felt right. He felt alive and free to be himself without persecution. Without judgement. That's why he joined the Sky army. That's why he named himself Sky.

Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able
Can't you see that my relationship is stable?

"Stop moving!" The Squid shouted as Sky dodged again. "You- you're nothing but a freak! A traitor at best! The Empire was perfect until you two fused and ran off! Now you're fighting for a lost cause!"

Sky growled and blocked his next moved. They held against each other until Sky over powered him and disarmed him, his sword falling away from his. Sky kicked it aside before he could reach it.

I can see you hate the way we intermingle
But I think you're just mad cause you're single.

"That's where you're wrong, Constantine." Sky said, using his real name. "I fight for freedom of whoever you want to be. I fight for them, I fight for myself." He chuckled.

You're not gonna stop what we made together
We are gonna stay like this forever.
If you break me apart I'll just come back newer
and I'll always be twice the warrior you are.

"I fight for a place where I'm free to exist. To be...me." Sky said, looking at the two gems on his chest. Many confused it for an amulet, but Sky knew who they were.

I am o-o-o-o-o-of
lo-o-o-o-ove

"I fight for love." He said. Constantine managed to get up again, a battle axe appeared in his hand. "And nothing you can do can pull us apart or make me stop fighting!"

O-o-o-o-of
Lo-o-o-o-ove

Sky sidestepped him once again as the battle axe was swung at him, missing him by inches. He could try to play defense, but he couldn't do much against a battle axe. Constantine pushed him to the ground while he was thinking. Sky let out a grunt then gasped as he realized the ground beneath him was hollow. He heard it when he hit the floor. Constantine raised his weapon for a final blow, but as it was brought down, Sky rolled out of the way. The floor began to crack and then caved in under them.

This is who we are.
This is what I am.

Sky got to his knees and coughed slightly as he adjusted his broken glasses that hid his three eyes perfectly. He glared at the squid in front of him who was starting to get up as well.

And if you think you can stop me
Well you'd better try again.

Sky stood up, the gems on his chest pulsating lightly. He summoned to the two swords and grinned slightly as the squid looked at him. And boy, was he pissed.

Because I am a feeling
And I will never end.

Sky charged at him with dual-wielded swoards. The squid looked up and glared before summoning his own battle axe.

I won't let you hurt these people.
I won't let you hurt my friends.

The squid swung at him to which he dodged in an expert manner. The squid however took advantage of this and swung back, hitting Sky with the blunt edge of the ax.

Go ahead and try to hit me
If you're able.
Can't you see that my relationship is stable?
You say that I'm not something you're afraid of,
But I don't think you've seen what I'm made of!

Sky stumbled and dodged narrowly out of the way of another blow. He swung a sword up at him and managed to get a hefty cut on his cheek. Sky took the oppurtunity to push him further near a lava pit they had fallen near.

But I am even more than the two of them.
Everything they care about is what I am.

Sky thought about why he was here. He was here because he wanted to be free. He wanted to live in a place free of all social prejudice. That's why he fought the squids. It was why he fought alongside the Sky Army. He fought for everything they stood for. And he would do it forever.

I am their fury.
I am their patience.
I am their conversation.

Sky gave the squid a rough shove towards the lava pit and watched Constantine fall into the lava below. He couldn't bare to watch what happened next. He hated killing one of his own, even if they were his worst enemy.

I am made oooooof
Looooove
Looooove.
And it's stronger than you.

"YOU'LL BE SHATTERED, FUSION. DO YOU HEAR ME?! SHATTERED! WHAT GOOD WILL YOU'RE LOVE DO THEN?!" Constantine screamed out his final words as Sky began climbing up the hole they had made. He sighed and kept climbing.

"I know you don't like this, but he would've just come back and...No, no, I get it. There was no helping it...I'm sorry...No, I am. I missed us. I guess I'm still a little shaken...Me too. But we need to focus, alright Adam?...Ok." Sky argued with himself as he ran out of the base.

"Jason! Ty!" He yelled as he saw them and a hundred other recruits huddled around a hill away from the base.

The two whipped around to see him. "Sky!" they cried as recruits cheered excitedly. Their leader was alive.

~~~~
"So, are you ever gonna tell them?" Ty asked as they watched reconstruction taking place over the destroyed base.
"No. They won't handle it well." Sky answered, adjusting his glasses.
"...Will you ever tell us how you guys became...well, you?" Jason asked.
"Hmm... Later. This is enough shock. But please. Keep referring to me as one person." Sky answered. The two nodded and Sky left them to deal with other business.
Will we ever tell them?
Later. Just not now, alright?
Sure. Let's hope the Author doesn't forget or anything.
Or charged with copyright.
Indeed, love.
Adam?
Yes, Ian?
I love you.
I love you too, my love.
