A/N: For those of you who don't know, Sapphire is an OC created by the Wattpad user of the same name. He also makes an appearance as a main character in my Ruby x Reader fic. This oneshot was requested by him. This is based on the version featured in his story 'The Soulless Mute', so you can read the first part to get the background information.

Sapphire POV:

Ahh, it's great when life doesn't suck. First I was stuck at Atlas, but ever since Jade and I managed to escape, we became students at Beacon. Despite the fact that I don't really trust many people with the exception of my sister, I was on relatively good terms with everyone.

Unfortunately things here at Beacon were getting kind of boring, sure I'm in all of team RWBY's adventures, but the downtime between them is just so messed up to me. It doesn't help that I'm a mute. I can only communicate with others via telepathy, but only when I make contact in a certain way. With nothing to do I just go find a place to eat. Fortunately, I know of a Ice Cream Shop nearby.

*Timeskip*

It seems to be a slow day, there's barely anyone here. Great. I should've brought Jade with me. My thoughts were interrupted as I saw someone walk in. She was a lady with pink and brown hair, and brown eyes. I actually felt myself blush when I saw her. She didn't seem to notice as she walked up to the counter. 

She stared through the glass and pointed at the Neopolitan flavor.

The cashier noted her order and went to get it

While she waited I ordered my own favorite ice cream. I looked over and saw her reading on her scroll. I'd like to get to know her, but that'd honestly be a bit hard

The cashier came back and gave the woman her ice cream

She nodded and paid him while I got my own. I then sat in a chair, but I saw her pull up one and sit across from me. She slipped me a piece of paper

'You're cute'

I blushed, turned over the paper, pulled out a pen and wrote back

'I could say the same about you'

She blushed as well, and we continued to communicate through writing

'My name's Neopolitan, but you can just call me Neo'

'I'm Sapphire'

'Are you a mute as well?'

'Yes, but not forever. Only since an accident, my sister nearly lost her head over how worried she was for me. What about you?'

Wait, did I just make a pun

'I've been mute for a while, I don't really want to talk about it yet'

'I understand, since the napkins are starting to run out, how about we just exchange numbers'

She nodded her head in agreement, and then we started to communicate through text

'Would you like to go out with me on a possible date?'

She looked up from her scroll, nodded at me and texted me the address of a movie theater and to meet her there next week

*ONE WEEK LATER*

I just finished watching the movie with Neo. It was a horror movie with some Clown haunting a couple of kids. Stevie Queen is one scary writer. My personal favorite part didn't necessarily come from the movie. After the clown killed a child in the sewers, Neo got too scared and actually hugged me for safety. As we walked out of the theater, we pulled out our phones and started texting with each other.

'How did you like the movie'

'If I ever have kids, there will never be a clown at their birthdays'

'I could tell by the way you clung to me'

Her face quickly reddened. As we were walking by, I saw a man selling balloons. While Neo was checking the time on her phone, I acted quickly by buying a red balloon and ran behind her, I then proceeded to tie the balloon around the back of her jacket.

She turned around confused, but this caused the balloon to turn with her so she didn't see it yet. I put on a fake expression of horror as I pointed her shoulder. My timing was perfect as the balloon crossed her shoulder slowly, her reaction was priceless. She went wide-eyed and actually started running behind me for safety, but the balloon followed her. However as she clung to me for dear life, she noticed how the balloon was tied around her. Her expression of fear quickly changed into one of anger as she looked at me with eyes that could give Ironwood goosebumps.

I began to get a cold sweat as she walked closer to me, seemingly ready to kill me the second I make a run for it. I went from being infatuated with her to fearing the possibility of what she could do. She walked closer to me until she was right in front of me, and did something I didn't see coming.

She kissed me.

It wasn't an accidental kiss or a quick peck. If it wasn't for the fact that we were in public it would've turned into a full on make out session.

She then smiled and I checked and saw she sent me a text.

'That was pretty clever, but if you ever do something like that again, you'll owe me a lot more than just a kiss'

I blushed because of the text, and she took my hand while leading me away from the theater. I then realized it was her apartment, and she started leading me up the stairs.

She sent me a new text and blushed because of what it said

'Let's pick up from where we left off. Don't worry we won't go all the way since it's only our first date'

I looked at her as she winked at me, realizing something

Technically, I just got a girlfriend without saying a single word.

*Last Timeskip*

Neo and I have been dating for a couple of months now, and we've grown to care for each other very much. I saw that Neo's window was open, so I snuck in to surprise her. Inside she was just watching TV, I didn't know that she was a fan of Turqoise VS Crimson.

As silently as I could, I snuck behind her, and touched the back of her head. She turned around terrified without knowing who was in her apartment. I then smirked, and began to use my telepathy with her.

'This is my semblance, I can talk to you with my mind now'

She seemed amazed that I had such an ability. However she got a look that I haven't seen since our first date. At first I had no idea what I did wrong. But then I remembered a certain text she sent to me that night.

She smashed her lips onto mine, and dragged me by the back of my shirt into her room, and with strength I didn't know she had, through me onto her bed.

'I love you'

She smiled and I could already tell she reciprocated. Unfortunately she started to have a look of lust in her eyes, and I realized I'm probably going to be late to school tomorrow.

Oh well, at least I have an amazing girlfriend. We kissed and started what would become a very restless night

A/N: Alright, I decided to experiment a little and make a part that had little to no spoken dialogue.  Then again, I find it easier to work on a longer story than a condensed one shot,but until next time!
