A/N - alright this is Ruby Rose X depressed Male reader requested by megaman099115 Hope you enjoy. Also I own nothing but the writing of this.

Ruby's POV

*I am walking around the area exploring Beacon out of curiosity as I look around I see a team of four off in the distance two males two females one of the males seems to be wearing fairly neutral to dark clothes they almost were invisible if it wasn't for the fact that they seemed to have some sort of weapon that I couldn't recognize at all as I tilt my head thinking while looking at the weapon before starting to get closer to figure out what its like as I look at the person they seem to be a year older then me while their weapon seems strange for a couple of reasons*

Hmm lets see it seems to have a pinpoint small hole that looks like it goes all the way down while it seems to have a different thing at the bottom that seems to stab the user enough to take in blood which is strange in a few ways as I'm sure that it hurts quite a lot to actually have a use for it as the other three around him seem to be concerned about the weapon itself as well as its user

Female1: "We are worried about you Y/N we have seen what you're weapon does to yourself at first it wasn't much but as of recent it almost seems to reak of blood."

Male: "Alice is right Y/N You are my partner as well. Recently I haven't seen you have the same oomph you usually have. It almost seems forced."

*the girl Alice seems to nod while the other girl seems to be looking over the boy Y/N as if examining him as he seems to try and cover himself a bit more before she begins speaking*

Second Female: "Patrick strip his shirt off."

*I become taken aback as I see the other boy who seems to be Patrick rush Y/N as you begin speaking while backing up*

Y/N: "Luca I don't think we need to do that out in public right?"

Luca: "Y/N don't misunderstand. Our team knows my semblance well."

*You seem to flinch as Patrick seems to catch you blocking my view as I see the top from Y/N get flung into the air as I see barely Alice and her eyes widen in horror as she seems to cover her mouth as I walk away realizing I'm going to be late to the day out in vale with Yang*

Patrick's POV

*I stare at my partner Y/N with wide eyes of shock and concern as I see all along his arms and torso are bleeding bandages that seem roughugly bandaged as I see him unable to even make eye contact with us now as I speak quietly as Alice seems shocked at the severity while Luca seems to be saddened by the fall of her childhood friend*

Patrick: "Y/N... what did you see in that vision to make you resort to this... keeping this up is enough to kill you and Knowing Luca's semblance of Diagnostic eyes you wouldn't be able to slip by with it..."

Y/N: "..."

Alice: "Y/N we want to help you but we can't if you don't let us in to try to..."

*I look towards the team leader Luca who seems hurt by her Childhood friends actions to himself as he finally escapes from my grip grabbing his top and running away as we know all to well we can't trap him this time as his right eye began to glow*

Luca: "...so many... Self-inflicted cuts..."

Patrick "and he's told none of us what it is?"

*Alice and Luca shake their heads no as I sigh as I remember our first day as a team last year*

~Small Flashback~

Ozpin: "Our last team is team LAP? Their team leader will be Luca Azure."

*We were guided to our dorm as I looked at my partner Y/N? I think so as we all enter the location as we look around the dorm before we basically divide the dorm in half as we begin greeting each other as luca starts*

Luca: "Well as Ozpin mentioned my name is Luca Azure 17 my semblance is Diagnostic Eyes it allows me to at a glance diagnose any physical medical condition that has happened within a four year period and its severity."

*I blink surprised as that sounds incredibly helpful to me*

Alice: "Wow hard to beat in that regard my name is Alice Ignes I'm 17 my semblance is Trap Spot it allows me to set at any location twenty miles of me an extremely complex singular trap or a bunch of simple traps every twenty four hours."

Patrick: "Well damn the team definitely has some powerhouses on it well my name is Patrick Ikeman I'm 17 as well my semblance Is Instantaneous warp it allows me to warp to any coordinate with up to thirty two people but it has a cooldown of forty eight hours no matter how many people it transports as well as it needs exact coordinates."

*the others seem to nod as we then look towards my partner who looks up with what seems to be two different eye colors as he speaks softly*

Y/N: "...My name is Y/N L/N i'm 16 years old... my semblances are one is future vision... the other is Corrosive Blood... the first one allows me see the future in my control of twenty seconds in advanced out of my control it shows me a distant future that as I have learned is uncontrollable... the second one is able to corrode almost anything except for what my weapon is made of..."

*Me and Alice look at Y/N surprised by the fact of two semblances as well as the fact he is only sixteen*

Luca: "He is being honest with our childhood friends and I've seen him use both. One is really impressive, the other is very bright to say the least."

*Me and Alice nod as we continue to try and get to know each other.*

~Flashback end~

Patrick: "...Luca, what is the chance he sees a future of people he cares about dying?"

Luca "It happened before he knew when his parents were going to die and how and that came true a couple of years before beacon..."

Alice: "That means it has been horrible..."

Luca: "It was... to say the least blinding... if not extremely heartbreaking but he doesn't share what is on his mind ever..."

*We sigh knowing we can't catch him as we saw his right eye start glowing F/C (favorite color) instead of its normal S/F/C (second favorite color) while his left eye is still T/F/C (third favorite color) and not glowing F/F/C (Fourth favorite color) which means its only his future sight in a controlled state.*

~one year time skip and Your POV now~

*I look towards the gray sky that is raining as I feel broken as I am still standing in front of the graves of my now dead team as I fall to my knees as I speak quietly to myself*

Y/N: "...I failed...I couldn't save them... I trained for over a year even harder than needed...yet They still died without them letting me to help them..."

*I crouch onto the ground crying in my own failure of being unable to save my team my friends or keeping the promise to keep Luca safe to her parents as the words they screamed at me for failing ring out into my mind before they were escorted away by Patrick and Alice's family saying sorry to me for at least trying as I keep crying quietly as one thought of mine seems to be in the center*

End it Y/N its no longer a battle worth going through with you are all alone now so end it.

*I begin to look at the small pocket watch they gave me last year on my seventeenth birthday as I look at it once again opening it on one side it it having two pictures one of me and my team smiling with me in the middle awkwardly smiling from them taking this picture the second one of Ruby and me on our first date as we had started dating four months ago as I was able to confine with her about the vision I saw on repeat and we had started to meet up alot until eventually we awkwardly asked each other out for a date being given this picture by her sister Yang on my birthday as she was smirking and Ruby was blushing brightly as you were only slightly embarrassed about it as you no longer feel the rain pouring on you as you don't need to look up to know who it is as you feel bend down next to you and quietly speak to you*

Ruby: "Y/N... come on let's go home we both know how much your team cared for you. As well as what they would tell you to even think about ending it all after they saved you."

Y/N: "...Am I really that easy to read?..."

Ruby: "You have a habit of looking at you're Pocket watch when you start thinking about suicide. Almost as if asking its okay to finally let go."

Y/N: "...I see... Ruby?..."

Ruby: "Ye Y/N?"

Y/N: "...I am a failure and a bastard huh... a no good p-"

*She stops you by pulling you into a kiss not letting you finish the sentence after a few mere moments breaking the kiss*

Ruby: "You aren't. You are human and I know all too well how much you did to try and keep them alive. The parents just hurt its okay Y/N to cry you don't have to hold it inside of you anymore. Let it out if you 're allowed to."

*I begin to tear up more as I embrace ruby crying into her shoulder shivering slightly as she begins to rub my back as if saying there there as I barely speak just crying into her shoulder saying one sentence at a time*

Y/N: "...I tried so hard I didn't want to lose them. It hurts so much I have no where I belong without them..."

*Ruby nods holding you closer knowing how long it has been sense you actually let your feelings through*

Y/N: "...where am I supposed to go now?...where can I call home?..."

Ruby: "Will find out. Together Y/N we will find out where home is for all of us but where we go now is back to the academy before you get sick from your clothes you didn't even let your body heal yet."

*You nod silently crying for a bit longer before she leads you back to beacon to continue you're treatment as she stays at the on school hospital with you to make sure you stay their and not try anything drastic and before you fall asleep she whispers in your ear*

Ruby: "I love you Y/N so please stay with me in the world of the living okay?"

*You nod lightly falling asleep with the image of Ruby seemingly about to cry feeling more tired than normal*

Ruby's POV

*I hold Y/N hand as it begins to grow cold as I finally begin crying after his hand becomes lifeless as what I was told by the doctors before they let me back into the room is that his blood had begun to corrode his heart away and the amount of time he had left was until midnight they then asked me if I knew of anyone of his family or friends I should call them and I just held strong knowing all too well to his knowledge I was all he had left I messaged my sister as soon as I found out as she rushes into the room with the rest of our team the heart monitor goes into a flat line as I fully break down as my team hugs me as I continue to cry knowing that he is gone forever and because of his own semblance killed him in the end*

Ruby: "Why him?... hadn't he been through enough?..."

*no one answered my question as I continued to cry into my team's arms as they attempted to console me not knowing how to approach the subject as I didn't expect them to be able to*
