"Dudee, I'm so nervous for the test," Andrew groaned as he walked beside Cris.

"You're just nervous because you pulled yet another all nighter watching anime and did last minute studying," Cris said to him while rolling his eyes.

"Oh sure while you 'Mister Nerdypants' was at home reading books being the responsible guy you are," Andrew said mocking him.

"You're all talk and no bite aren't you?" Cris said trying to stiffle his laugh.

"I'm not!" Andrew said playfully punching him in the shoulder.

The two continued to mess around when they encountered familiar faces.

"Isn't that Sam and Lily?" Cris pointed at the two people by the lockers.

"Yeah." Andrew made a face that said something else.

"Something wrong?" Cris asked him.

"Oh, its nothing," Andrew replied.

"Well aren't we going to invite them to go walk together to the classroom?" Cris said and started walking towards Sam and Lily.

"Wait Cris-" Andrew was cut off a moment too soon when Cris called them over to join them.

Cris is alright with Lily.
Andrew is a different case.

When they went near, bad vibes appeared like something happened between the two.

Cris noticed but decided not to mind.

"Hey! How's the studying over the weekends?" Cris asked with a small smile.

"It was alright, kinda tiring though," Sam said while making a small pout.

Cris thought it was cute.

"It was okay," Lily replied but still staring at Andrew dead in the eye.

"Something wrong between you two? You've been at it for a while now," Sam stated.

"Oh no it's just a friendly staring contest we have every time we meet," Lily says in a dull sounding voice.

"Yeah." Andrew replied straight away but still without breaking contact.

"Well you guys need to stop that if you wanna get to the classroom in one piece without bumping into stuff," Sam said as they crossed their arms.

"Sam's right," Cris said.

"Fine," Both replied at the same time.

Cris and Sam walked side by side, sharing smiles with each other and making small talk but Andrew and Lily on the other hand, were in suffocating silence. Refusing to acknowledge each other.

When they got to the classroom, they sat on their assigned seats and did some last minute reading. They even asked each other possible questions that might appear in the test to see if they memorised the topics they've read.

When the teacher arrived and was about to give out the test, Cris' attention was on the person seated next to him.
They were trying to pass him a rolled up note and so he took it.

Inside he read:

Good Luck! 😉

-Sam

Sure enough, Cris thought he had the luck he needed.

Just one seat away from him.
