Chapter 19 - TLC

---Felix' POV---

The sun was rather bright, making me blink several times against the glare before I simply rolled over and curled further against Milo. Even in his human form, he was happy to pull me closer to him and snuggle up to me.

Ear resting against his chest, my eyes closed as I relaxed to the soothing rhythm of his strong heartbeat. It nearly lulled me to sleep as it was accompanied with the steady inhale and exhale, moving my head and rocking me back and forth.

Opening my eyes, they followed a few of the wolves playing around in the grass, prancing around and playfully nipping at the other's fur. In between their paws, the growing pup was trying to snap his teeth around one of the wagging tails that flew past its muzzle.

Wyatt sat close by, chuckling and shaking his head at the youngster. "Oh Koda, you silly little pup." He help open his arms as the pup turned around and bounded towards his father.

Father... my eyes flitted to the side, where my parents sat on a bench overlooking the pack. Already I felt calmer and more relaxed than ever, surrounded by strangers rather than my own family.

But still, I knew what the pack offered me and I realized that even though they knew it was the best option, it hurt my parents feelings. Ever since their breakdown, where I had heard them whispering when I'd been faking sleep, they had been on their own, talking things out.

My fingers curled around Milo's arm a bit tighter, which prompted him to pull me closer against his side, his fingers tangling in my hand to give them a reassuring squeeze. A small yet meaningful reminder that we'd never ever be apart.

Stretching out, I yawned and smiled when Milo yawned as well, licking his lips before glancing up. Following his eyes, I frowned when I noticed Terrance trying to sneak closer to us, only to be stopped by his mate time and time again.

He's been doing that all week...why does he need to speak to us?

I tilted my head, frowning as I glanced from Mike's bright red cheeks to Terrance's sheepish grin as he glanced down at his mate. Surely if it was something important, Mike would let Terrance talk to us?

A nose nudged my cheek and I smiled, tilting my head up so that Milo could eagerly kiss my lips. It was a tender and sweet kiss, one that made my stomach heat up and muscles quiver oddly before he backed up and sniffed at my hair. A low growl rumbled through his chest as he snuggled closer, cradling my head under his chin, which rubbed in slow circles over my head.

Sighing happily, I simply closed my eyes and relaxed in Milo's hold. Nothing was better than resting here in his arm, laying against his body and enjoying the warmth of the sun.

His fingers danced over my skin absentmindedly, brushing back and forth in a barely there caress. Goosebumps chased after his digits, making me shiver as the skin underneath his hand heated up, seemingly more sensitive to his touch.

Milo sniffed at my hair again, growling as we heard one of the wolves approach hesitantly. What surprised me though was that Milo instantly shifted when the wolf wagged its tail and sniffed the air, taking a few steps closer.

My fingers curled in Milo's fur as he stepped over my legs so they were underneath his body, his tail curling over his back as he growled lowly and with warning. The other wolf whined sharply, causing me to cringe and hold my ears at the harsh noise.

Several of the pack looked over, watching curiously as Milo faced off with the wolf in a silent staring match until it backed off. Milo snorted, the dark grey fur on his shoulders settling down as he turned around and sniffed at my face happily.

I laughed and nudged his nose with my own, smiling as he started rubbing his body against me to the point where he accidentally pushed me over on the floor. Even then he panted, acting playful as he rolled over and over me again, sniffing and licking at my throat and face as I choked on laughter and pushed him away.

Approaching footsteps caused Milo to stiffen above me, growling lowly as he shifted back to his human form. I blinked and hid my face in his throat as he hovered above me, covering my body as if I wasn't dressed.

"Easy Milo. We simply came over as we felt we needed to... explain some things to you guys." Marcus said while cuddling Zayne to his side. Milo's sibling smiled hesitantly, looking between us before understanding flooded his eyes and he looked up at Marcus.

His cheeks flushed a deep red before shaking his head when Marcus nodded.

What's going on here?

Marcus glanced over and shot a glare at Terrance when the wolf snickered but when Terrance went to open his mouth, Mike elbowed him sharply in the gut and muttered "Not a word from you, you horny, oversexed wolf!"

I huffed against Milo's fur, ruffling it slightly and stirring up his scent. For some reason it seemed to be more powerful than usual and left me in a daze. A wet nose pressed against my cheek and I cringed away from the sensation before huffing at Milo.

He seemed very interested in my scent, sniffing at my cheek and nudging at my chin, baring my throat in the process. Marcus chuckled as he observed with a smile, cuddling his mate close to him.

"Seems like we were right." He murmured as I pushed up from the floor and patted the dust off of my pants before shooting him a questioning look.

Zayne sniffed before rubbing his nose, snorting as if he had a nose full of a potent scent. Meanwhile Milo was sniffing away at my clothes, nudging my leg every once in a while and making me frown slightly.

"Its always amusing to see a young wolf reacting to the Heat the very first time. It seems that your scent is irresistible to young Milo." Sebastian laughed as he passed by and looked down at Wyatt, who rolled his eyes even though he blushed.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm recalling a certain wolf who was acting like a teen having his first wet dream..." Wyatt teased, giving his mate a pointed look and smirked when Sebastian cleared his throat, a warm blush rising on his own face.

Chuckles sifted through the air as I followed them inside, wondering what this Heat was that they mentioned before... It wasn't that hot outside... I yelped in surprise when an arm wrapped around me, Milo's chuckle rumbling through his chest as he was pressed against me.

And a certain something was poking in my butt...

Uhm...

--- Milo's POV---

I couldn't help the way my body responded as I held Felix close to me, the warmth of his body seeping into my skin and made my wolf purr in content and excitement. Felix' scent circled around me, thick and potent enough to make me feel dizzy and lethargic.

A low growl escaped my lips as I nuzzled his cheek, licking at his lips with vigor until we were locked in a kiss that made my blood sizzle. A throat cleared behind us, snapping me out of the lustful thoughts of my wolf as I growled warningly.

"You know, if you wanted to get handsy, you- mff!" Whatever Terrance wanted to say was muffled underneath Mike's hand as the boy sighed and shook his head. He squeaked and withdrew his hand quickly, which gleamed with saliva as Terrance chuckled and pulled him in.

"Just be happy you haven't gone in heat yet, darling." He growled in Mike's ear before roaring in laughter as Wyatt scoffed, "As if it would be any different from how you're jumping the boy now."

I chuckled, glancing in between them before my eyes were once again drawn to Felix, the way his gorgeous eyes lit up, his scent that enraptured me and made me unaware of anything except Felix.

My mate... my perfect little mate...

He noticed my look and blushed instantly or maybe it was with the way I was pressed up against him... Yet I couldn't help it! My balls ached and swelled as my shaft was straining against his clothes. A low rumble filled my chest and I smiled as Felix turned in my arm before hiding his face underneath my throat.

Ah Felix, ever the bashful one...

Marcus cleared his throat, having to snap his fingers in front of my face to actually get my attention before he and his mate explained what Heat was.

I listened carefully, my wolf for once pausing and perking his ears, as he too didn't want to hurt Felix in any shape or form. I didn't understand most things but judging from the bright red that Felix brushed, he seemed to understand quite a bit off of it.

Guess I'd have to ask him what exactly Marcus meant... what the hell is sex anyways?
