Reader X Moria "Horror Story"

You coughed out loads of sea water, squeezing your eyes shut as your gag reflex activated, forcing you to heave up everything you've ever ingested for the past few days.

Clumsily rolling over until you rested on your gut, you spat at the sand sticking to your lips, grimacing at the gritty feeling in your mouth, feeling disoriented, you struggled to get up and take a view of your surroundings.

Looking back, you deflated seeing few remains of your cargo ship completely shattered against a peaking boulder in the distance of the bay, absolutely nothing survived- or anything that you could use or something important like that.

"Damn" glancing hard into the distance, you could possibly see the very outline of the island soulmate city was on, but the thick fog surrounding this place like a blanket made it quite difficult to see anything at all.

Rolling onto your back, you huffed- "horo horo horo" gasping hard in alarm, you bolted around and scrambled to your knees seeing, dancing ghosts.

"Am I dead after all?" They didn't give you an answer and continued to laugh, along the way you noticed they began to multiply and paled, was this some kind of forbidden, cursed island?

Not wanting to find out, you decided to try and get away from these ghosts, and possibly find any way to get off this spooky ass island.

Forcing yourself onto your feet, you began to walk deeper into the island, soon seeing the beach end and vegetation beginning.

Looking back to see the ghosts have vanished, you drew in a hesitant breath and took a few steps into the eerie forest, you hoped this wasn't going to be a mistake.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Did you complete your mission?" A tall man in a gigantic chair loomed above the pink haired ghost girl.

"Of course I did Moria-sama! My cute little ghosties have already lured her into the forest!" Laughing at the good news, the mob boss lounged back into his throne, staring right into the screen, captivated by you.

Observing your trek into the horrid landscape, he felt his grin tug downwards watching you struggle with roots and vines that would threaten to knock you over.

At the rate you were going, it would be far past midnight when you would arrive at the mansion, not to mention he was already certain you were steering off course.

"Tsk, she's not getting here fast enough, Hogback!" Evidently summoning the rolly-polly mad scientist from thin air, the creep chuckled nervously seeing the scowl on his master's face.

Gulping in hesitation, he answered him instantaneously, "y-yes Moria-sama?" Nearly tipping over when the giant leaned far down to hover over him, Hogback felt his throat back up.

"Shishishi! Our dear guest seems to have a habit in getting herself lost, please go escort her here already, and make it before midnight too!" Saluting hurriedly in response to the command, Hogback was quick to dart out of the room.

"Shishishi! Ah, soon I'll be able to see you face-to-face" grinning in contentment, Moria chuckled seeing you make quick ninja reflexes whenever you heard a sound, he loved to watch the paranoid look on your face.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where in fuck's name were you?! You swore you saw that dick shaped rock four times now! Turning to the right, you threw your arms up in the air in irritation, and that freaking butt tree six times!

You were lost in some spooky ass forest, and you've already seen some strange things, like predators, terminators, evil beings of all kinds, and Arnold Schwarzenegger!

"I regret, I so regret-" falling down when you weren't paying attention, you made several small yelps as you tumbled down a steep hill.

"Fuck!" Screaming in pain, you felt your leg ache when it collided with a tree, and nearly twisted on itself when your body tried to move on without it, once you collapsed in the end, you immediately laid yourself onto your other leg and rubbed the other one.

Hissing at the throbbing sensation, you easily deducted you wouldn't be walking around very easily anytime soon.

"Are you okay mam?" Jumping in surprise, you instinctively moved to stand upon your feet, only to stop early on to feel your injured leg refuse vehemently, "gah!- ow!" You rubbed the sore spot and winced.

The man who spoke was dressed as some punk goth- clearly a bad sign, shades- who the fuck wore shades in this shit fog? And sharp ass teeth, which your mind immediately linked to vampires.

Though he seemed to have paled drastically seeing pain evident on your features, "y-you haven't hurt yourself now, h-have you?" You felt suspicion rise seeing a cold sweat begin to form, but decided that lying would probably get you into a worse situation than telling the truth.

"I- yeah, I hurt myself falling down that hill-" turning around to face it, now that you got a good look, at first glance it seemed more like a cliff than a hill.

Hearing him softly shriek in fear, you turned around to look at him with wide, anxious eyes, "wh-what?! Is there a monster?!" Swinging your head all around, you scanned your surroundings carefully for any danger, only to find nothing.

"A-Ah! It's just that- it's not good that you've hurt yourself! Why don't you come with me and I can fix you right up? I am a doctor.." finally taking notice of the weird ass carriage with even even weirder coachmen, you glared hard into the mode of transportation, and then back to him.

Yeah, you knew where this was gonna go, he was gonna pose as the nice guy- and then stab you.

But you were injured and all alone in a forest supposedly infested with ghosts and god knows what else.

"I don't think I wanna take anymore chances in this forest today, yes I'd like some help, mister?" He grinned, suddenly regaining his composure and ego all in one, "Hogback, doctor Hogback, and you my dear?" You shrugged, "(Y/N)" struggling to build yourself up on one foot, he helped you hop to the carriage.

"Now, how did a lone girl like you end up here on Thriller Bark?" You jolted- not from what he said, but from the carriage as it began to go down some forgotten dirt path.

"Thriller Bark...uh, I was working on a cargo ship, we were supposed to have been shipping a supply of precious stones, old artifacts, and whatnot to Soulmate city- for some new museum I guess, but then suddenly we were shipwrecked out of nowhere, and I found myself waking up here.." you began to trail off, feeling uncertain.

Now that you said it aloud, how did you end up getting shipwrecked? You were in wide open waters that were very deep, and sea-kings make a habit of avoiding your ship, something was off with the logic behind all this.

Unless the shipwreck wasn't natural.

"Um, is there any other people living on this island?" Hogback nodded his head, "ah, yes there is, and we're going to see them soon" you kept your frown hidden.

These guys were shady.

"What exactly is this, Thriller Bark? I've been seeing some pretty weird shit here, and I'm sure I haven't hit my head" he chuckled in amusement.

"The fog, it has that illusionary effect on people, fosfosfos" you nodded with a frown, looking out the window, you stayed silent watching all sorts of abominations and beasts scamper around and plot their mischief.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a mansion, big, empty looking, and full of fucking creepy ass taxidermy.

Doctor Hogback was true to his word and tended to your leg, unfortunately though, he found the muscles in your lower leg were beginning to severely bruise and there were small cracks in your fibula and tibia, "if you try to walk anymore, with too much stress it might cause those bones to fracture" you didn't question him as he wrapped your leg up in a cast.

"Fosfosfosfos! Now Cindry here will take you to the dining room, you must be hungry now" seeing a monotonous, pale woman come from behind you and begin pushing your wheelchair away, you didn't even get to make a fuss as the doors closed behind you.

It was a quiet walk down to the dining room, a long table was laid out before you, but your eyes were fast to zoom in on the gigantic chair on the other end.

Without a single word the blonde left you at the table and began to walk away, "w-wait where are you going?! Who's chair is that?!" You were only answered with the closing of a door.

"Fuck" gripping tightly to the chair you were trapped on, you stared down the various paintings strung around, "who the hell paints stitches on people?" They all would have been very lovely if it wasn't for the creeping feeling of being watched.

Looking further up, you scrunched your eyes seeing taxidermy of half the body of a pig until suddenly the mansion shook.

Feeling your heart leap into your chest, you held on tight to the table and endured the abrupt tremors.

The lights flickered and the paintings would swing, but once it was over, it was almost like nothing happened.

Bang!

"Eek!" Shrieking in alarm, you squeezed your head in between your shoulders, turning around you relaxed seeing it was only doctor Hogback.

Although he didn't look very good.

He was sweating profoundly, and his expression was pale, like he was about to drop dead any moment, did he have a fear of earthquakes or something?

"What was that?" Watching him march up to the table and collapse into a chair, he pulled on a false smile, "oh just an earthquake, nothing too common I assure you" you frowned.

'Just an earthquake' no way that was an earthquake then if that's how he was going to put it.

"So, are we gonna ea-" you jolted when something was splattered right in front of you.

Looking down at what was laid before you, the thought of getting the hell out of here was blazing sirens in your mind.

The splatter was red and beginning to spread to the edges of the wood, in the center was a clump of.. something mushy, and even though the possibility was close to none, no one could convince you that was not in fact a brain.

"Um-" "Cindry! Can't you give her a plate?!" You turned to see the woman from before give him a blank eyed glare, "I hate all plates-" "yes! I know! I know! But please at least give her a bowl!" Cindry then proceeded to scrape up the mess and scoop it into a bowl.

When it clattered in front you once again, your throat went fuzzy, "u-uh, I'm afraid I'm not- uh, hungry" shaking your stutters off, Cindry grabbed the bowl and left.

"...She's nice" Hogback chuckled, "please forgive Cindry for her behavior, she and plates have a- a bad history" confused and severely weirded out, you glanced at the gigantic chair and felt a light bulb go off.

"Oh, by the way, who's chair is that?" Feeling him freeze for a moment, you gulped in nervousness, "that is the master's chair, and he will not be joining us this evening" not liking the suspicious activities taking place, you decided it was time to put your foot down.

"Um, are there any ships I could take to get off of this island?" Hogback jerked up in alarm, "no! I-I mean yes- but as your doctor I couldn't possibly let you go until you're once again at perfect health!" Okay, this was going a little too far, not to mention he sounded phony as fuck.

"No, I think you've done enough, I think I can take care of myself from now on thanks" attempting to move your wheelchair on your own, you were suddenly sent into a panic when your wheels refused to budge.

Forcing more strength on them, you swung your head around, looking at the piece of equipment in every angle you could to possibly find the problem, "grrr, what a beautiful woman, truly a perfect match for Moria-sama" you nearly shrieked seeing some Frankenstein monster appear all of a sudden, hands stuck on your wheels to keep you in one place.

"What is this?!" Now fearing for your life, you were about to throw yourself out of the chair and try and flee by yourself, but something was suddenly shoved into your face by Hogback.

Soon everything went dark.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Moria-sama was not pleased finding out about her injury, the last thing we need is to tell him she ran away" pushing your unconscious body down the halls, Hogback growled catching Absalom attempting to look down your shirt.

Swatting him away, Hogback shoved your body into a different room, handing you over to a zombie, "leave her to me Hogback-sama! She will be looking so beautiful, the wheelchair won't even matter!" With you gone, Hogback turned to Absalom.

"Don't forget who that woman belongs to Absalom! If you want a woman so badly I can just make you one!" The perverted hybrid vehemently shook his head, "how many times do I have to tell you?! I want a real woman!" The two began to bicker lightheartedly down the hall, one grinning amused while the other scowled and whined.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Wh-wha?' Feeling your head slowly swimming back to the surface of consciousness, you blinked your eyes open, to find yourself strapped to some kind of backless wheelchair.

"What?" Craning your head to look behind, you shivered seeing two tiny- furry things, pushing you down a large corridor.

This was the point where you were freaking out, "ayo! No! Let me go what the heck?! I ain't being no corpse's briiii-" you trailed off, just noticing the flurried dress taking the place of your tattered clothes.

You were left silent seeing a strapless white dress, the laces along the bottom and top made you think of crystallized, sparkling cobwebs, the pattern was eloquent and subtle, and the fabric felt tight, strong and breathable.

You could legit get married in this thing, but even so..

"Which one of you fucks undressed me?" Seemingly frightened by your wordless threat, they sped by faster, making quiet frightened noises.

"Oi! Somebody better explain to me right now what the hell's going on here!" Suddenly a giant door was opened, and they both stopped before it.

"Master Moria! We brought the girl!-" "yes! The girl! The girl!" Scanning around the darkness of the room in confusion, you flinched back and yelled seeing a big hand come out and scoop up your wheelchair.

"H-Hey!" Being plunged in darkness as the door closed behind you, being the person you were, you kept quiet and awaited for anything to happen, "shishishi, you don't talk much, I like that, so much contrast to those moaning zombies" you tensed up in your chair, his voice was making you slightly unfocused for some reason.

Completely unprepared, a light abruptly came to life, being unable to get used to it right away, you clenched your eyes shut- but opened them in surprise feeling the straps give way as you fell out of the chair.

"Woah!" Landing unceremoniously into a cushioned floor, you practically sunk into the fabric as you struggled to roll onto your back, your leg didn't appreciate any of that movement at all, "o-ow!" Hissing in distaste, you scowled.

"Tsk! That damn Hogback, letting you injure yourself" clumsily trying to back away from the hand moving towards you, it flinched once, supposedly hearing a whine of fright come from you.

But ultimately it still extended forwards and buried itself under the hem of your dress, pulling out your leg with the cast.

"Such a shame this had to get in the way.." mindfully twiddling your leg around between his fingers, you felt your heart race when he lifted you up and literally carried you in the palm of his hand.

Searching the murky shadows for a face, you paused getting a glimpse of two shining eyes and focused on them, "ah, such a beautiful bride.." bringing his other hand to you, he fondly rubbed your head with the tip of his pinky.

"I-I don't understand" halting in his ministrations, he used his forefinger to lift your head up, your eyes widened, finally seeing him reveal himself from the darkness.

"I am Gekko Moria, master of this island, one of the infamous seven mob bosses, and most importantly- your soulmate my dear" feeling your head become fuzzy from seeing him for the first time, you blindly nodded.

"Shishishishi! You must be tired, now why don't you rest? It's time for the night attack, and I'll get some presents for you while I'm at it" too confused and disoriented to process what he said, you simply collapsed in the palm of his hand.

Smiling at your sleeping form, he brushed away a few creases in your dress before softly placing you on the bed, rubbing your head just a few more times, he finally worked up the attitude to sit up and walk out of the room.

"M-Master Moria! You're leaving your room?!" He marched past the two furry zombies with a grin.

"Shishishi! Why not? I feel like moving around for awhile, besides" stopping to look back at the two, they gulped, "what kind of husband would I be if I didn't even get my lovely wife some wedding presents?" Laughing in amusement, Moria continued down the corridor to greet tonight's unfortunate victims.
