You : Killer X Reader

Let the bough break, let it come down crashing
Let the sun fade out to a dark sky
I can't say I'd even notice it was absent

The room was dark save for the headlights of an occasional passing vehicle. It had been hours since you first laid down, mind too busy to sleep. Soft snores filled the otherwise quiet room as a scarred arm reposed just under your bossom.

It was a long day, filled with packing and dismantling most of your furniture. Starting the new year with a new life in a new (to you) home. Your blonde worked hard doing a lot of the heavier lifting when he came home from an already labor intensive day at his auto shop. So, needless to say he ate and passed out quickly.

Carefully you turned over to face him angling yourself to be closer as you gently swept his hair from his face. You never understood why a man so attractive, with such clear beautiful cyan eyes would work so hard to keep his face hidden away under a curtain of wavy bangs.

'Cause I could live by the light in your eyes

From the moment he let you have an unobstructed view you were in love. If you're being honest it was most likely before that.

I'll unfold before you
Would have strung together
The very first words of a lifelong love letter
Tell the world that we finally got it all right

I choose you

It wasn't just the view. He was loyal and level headed with endless patience and loads of ambition. His calm demeanor was addictive and a massive change of pace that you needed.

I will become yours and you will become mine

Starting out as neighbors, he was the first in the complex to introduce himself, offering a hand because you were alone. There was an undeniable spark.

I choose you
I choose You, yeah

You always found yourself drawn into his orbit. Countless nights were spent tracing over the scarred patches on his left arm. The results of a bad accident he'd been in with his best friend.

There was a time when I would have believed them I
f they told me that you could not come true

You hadn't been looking for anything, but that's often how these stories begin. Having all but given up on finding someone, and this gorgeous blonde just coasted into your life.

Just love's illusion
But then you found me
And everything changed

Fingers traced his forehead moving his hair and making him stir as you unapologetically smiled.

"You should be resting." he murmured  in a raspy sleep coated voice.
Your smile grew as you whispered, "I can't."
Finally those eyes you love so much slid open, "You seem awfully happy about that. Are you that excited to move?"
"No, moving sucks. Especially when I can't help as much." he almost hated how much he enjoyed your pout.
"You help plenty." rough digits caressed your cheek bringing back that sweet smile, this time with a glimmer of attitude.
"It is mostly you're fault anyway." it was your turn to marvel over his sulky expression.

And I believe in something again My whole heart
Will be yours forever
This is a beautiful start
To a lifelong love letter

His hand moved from your face to your tummy as the corners of his mouth curved into a smirk, "I'm certain you were just as involved."

Thankfully the room was dark and he couldn't see your blush, though your expression certainly gave it away.

"Well, yes... Joke ruiner." you playfully tapped his nose drawing out a smile that was always reserved for you.

Tell the world that we finally got it all right

With a content sigh he pulled you into his side allowing you to adjust and nearly fully rest your belly on him. It was a major, but not complete, relief to your utter discomfort. A hum spilled from your lips as your head rested against his shoulder.

I choose You
I will become yours and you will become mine
I choose You
I choose You

"Better?" amusement apartent in his timbre while he watched you wiggle into place making him your live body-pillow.
"Mm, much." you chuckled with closed eyes enjoying his closeness, "Who knew you could be so soft."
"Don't tell anyone." he chuckled pressing a sweet kiss to your temple.
"Your secret is safe." you assured dragging your finger tips along his jaw.

We are not perfect we'll learn from our mistakes

"Do you think it'll be ok?" your hand rubbed over your belly, a strange instinctive habit you hardly realized you were doing anymore.
A hum rumbled through his chest, "Things will be tight for a while, but once the second shop is opened we'll be comfortable, and the mortgage is cheaper than rent for this place."

The anxiety of owning your own home ebbed slightly with his confidence. But it didn't calm all of your worries. Life was about to change drastically for both of you.

"What about her? Do you think she'll be ok?"

His brows puckered at your inquiry, never thinking that was something you were concerned about as well.

And as long as it takes I will prove my love to you
I am not scared of the elements
I am underprepared,

Mustering the most soothing tone he could, he rested his cheek to your head, "We confirmed she has ten little fingers and ten little toes - she's developing as she should. And with any luck she'll come out with your smile and big heart."
"With your eyes and diplomatic disposition?"

But I am willing
And even better
I get to be the other half of you

"And your laugh." lips gently brushed against your temple once more.
"The perfect combination." he could hear the smile in your tone.
"Now," a yawn fought its way out, "you need to sleep."

Tell the world that we finally got it all right
I choose You, yeah

"Can't." you chuckled nuzzling into him.
"Still uncomfortable?" he asked.

I will become yours and you will become mine

With a smile you shook your head, "Now I'm excited to move."

I choose You
