(On The Iron Maiden)

The noise awoke Mawgona from his nap, and the first thing he saw was the Shadow Pirate Terry, holding a Den Den Mushi.

A Den Den Mushi is a special snail with psychic powers strong enough to act as the phones, cameras, and other communication devices from our world. This one was pink, had a purple shell with an "M" on both sides, and the same neutral stare as its owner.

(Terry)"Captain, you got a call!"

He picked up the device on top of its shell, then spoke into it.

(Mawgona)"Hello?"

The snail began to speak, and its face changes instantaneously. It now had wide red eyes with green irises, and an unsettling smile.

(???)"Mawgona, it's me."

(Mawgona)"Old man? It's been nearly a decade since we last spoke. What's the reason for getting in touch?"

(???)"I have learned the location of Zant, the Bounty Hunter."

(Mawgona)"You have? Where?"

(???)"He has turned his attention towards the Buggy Pirates, that group of clowns with the captain worth 15,000,000 Beli. They are all in Orange Town. You'll have to hurry, he's been captured."

(Mawgona)"Thank you for telling me this. I'll go there immediately."

(???)"No thanks needed, just helping one of my...friends. I have to go now, I have business arrangements with this UnusualSamurai."

And just like that, the snail was back to its original state.

(Orange Town)

The entire village was quite, not even the sound of seagulls could be heard. On the opposite end, Mawgona and the SP Trio could see the Buggy Pirate's ship.

(Mawgona)"Buggy and his men must've run out everybody. There's no one in the houses."

(Terry)"Then we gotta beat 'em up, right?"

(Mawgona)"It seems like that."

Finally breaking the silence, three men chased after a girl with orange hair.

(Pirate)"Thief! Give us back that map!"

In her panic, she bumped into Mawgona, then came up with a lie.

(???)"Oh! Boss, I knew you'd show up!"

(Mawgona)"Excuse me?"

(???)"I'll leave everything to you!"

With that, she ran off, leaving her "Boss" a bit confused.

(Pirate 1)"Ah! She got away!"

(Pirate 2)"Doesn't matter anymore, her boss is still here!"

Them man threw a punch, only for Mawgona to block it with ease.

(Mawgona)"I don't know why you were chasing that girl, but I cannot allow it."

Before they could make another move, the pink man struck several spots on all three men.

(Pirate)"What was that?! I've had mosquito bites worse than those punches!"

They tried to attack again, but everything below their necks refused to move.

(Pirate)"Wh-What's going on?! I can't move!"

(Mawgona)"I struck your hidden pressure points, you won't be able to control your bodies for 10 minutes."

(Pirate)"Y-You can't be serious!"

For good measure, he knocked them out with a spin kick.

(???)"Wow! You're ready strong!"

The strange girl was now atop one of the houses.

(Mawgona)"It's you again. Who are you?"

(Nami)"I'm Nami, a thief who steals from Pirates!"

(Mawgona)"Is that so? That's why these men were chasing you, because of that map?"

(Nami)"A map for the Grand Line, I'm planning to go there and get treasure from the Pirates there!"

(Mawgona)"Why? The Grand Line is one of the most dangerous places in the world."

(Nami)"My goal is to get 100,000,000 Beli, and use it to buy a village!"

(Mawgona)"A hundred million Beli. To gather that much, you'll have to steal it from a lot of dangerous Pirates worth ten times that much."

(Nami)"Then how about you and I team up?"

(Mawgona)"I could, I'm also looking for the Grand Line. But I'm here for Zant, I'm finding people for my crew at the moment."

(Nami)"Zant? I saw him, he's in a cage on the roof of the bar, along with Buggy and his crew."

(Mawgona)"Then I'll go rescue him."

(Nami)"Wait, just you?!"

(Barry/Terry)"Hey!"

(Mawgona)"What's wrong with that?"

(Nami)"You're strong, but Buggy's real dangerous! He's got a bounty of fifteen million!"

(Mawgona)"I have a bounty of 16 million."

(Nami)"Oh. But still, you m-"

She hadn't noticed that Mawgona was already going towards the bar.

(The Orange Town Bar)

(Buggy)"You lost the thief!?"

(Pirate)"W-We're still searching, Captain!"

(Buggy)"We were gonna use that map to go to the Grand Line! How did you even lose it?!"

(Pirate)"Well, the cabinet we left the map in still had the key in the lock. I guess some idiot left it there-"

(Buggy)"What did you say...?"

(Pirate)"I said some idiot left it in the-"

(Buggy)"What do you mean by 'Big Nose'!?"

(Pirate)"Eh?!"

(Omega)"Left it sounds like Big Nose in Japanese."

(Buggy)"Does my nose look funny to you?!"

(Pirate)"N-No! You misunderstood me!"

(Buggy)"What?! A Big Red Nose!?!"

(Omega)"That's even worse."

(Pirate)"What?! I-I never said that!"

(Buggy)"Who am I?"

(Pirate)"C-Captain Bug-"

The man was suddenly in the air, unable to breathe.

(Buggy)"Prepare the cannon!"

(Pirate)"WH-WHAT!? But I didn't do anything!"

Two men dragged out a large cannon, and carefully aimed directly at the screaming Pirate.

(Buggy)"Blow him to smithereens!"

(Pirate)"Wait, don't! Somebody help me!!"

They fired the cannon...but, there was no "Kaboom".

(Buggy)"What the? Was it a dud?"

(Mawgona)"No, it was me."

Mawgona just stood there, with the odd cannon ball in his hand.

(Pirates)"H-He caught the Buggy Ball!!! Those can destroy small villages!"

(Mawgona)"This man hasn't insulted you once, yet you still want him dead. How disgraceful as a leader."

(Buggy)"Who the hell are you!?"

(Mawgona)"I am Mawgona, Captain of the Dark Soul Pirates. I have come to get Zant."

(Buggy)"Oh, you mean that guy?"

He pointed towards a large cage, which held a beaten man with gray skin, yellow eyes, and wore a black bandana, and a white shirt with black pants.

(Buggy)"Without his two swords, he's not even a challenge! The guy was after my bounty, but he had no idea that I had a Devil Fruit!"

(Mawgona)"You have a Devil Fruit as well?"

(Buggy)"The Chop-Chop Fruit! It works like this!"

(Mawgona)"Hrk!"

A knife struck Mawgona in the side. A severed hand took the blade, and floated back to the clown.

(Buggy)"I can disassemble my body and move them in any way I want!"

(Mawgona)"Argh...you have no honor... striking your opponent from behind!"

(Buggy)"Who cares?! As long as I win, I don't care how I fight!"

(Mawgona)"Well then, allow me to return the favor!"

As if he was playing baseball, he threw the Buggy Ball right into the Captain's chest, knocking him threw several houses.

(Mawgona)"Hold on, Zant!"

He grabbed the cage, ignoring the sharp pain, and ran off.

(Later)

(Mawgona)"Ok...they won't catch up for a while..."

(Zant)"Wh-Why did you save me? You were stabbed through the side."

(Mawgona)"I came here, so that I could arrange a crew strong enough to take on the Grand Line."

(Zant)"Well you have me a little interested, but it doesn't matter. They took my swords, and you're wounded. We're good as dead at this rate!"

(Mawgona)"I wouldn't be so sure about that...huh?"

(Zant)"What?"

(Mawgona)"That dog, it's not moving from that pet store."

(Zant)"It's injured, too. Do you think it fought those Pirates?"

(Mawgona)"Maybe, but why's it still here?"

(Terry)"There he is!"

The SP Trio and Nami ran over to the injured duo.

(Nami)"What were you thinking?! You just ran in there and almost died!"

(Mawgona)"Hey, I rescued Zant, didn't I?"

(Zant)"If you can call it that."

(???)"Oi! What's going on here?"

An old man with a spear, bronze armor, and a bowl of dog food showed up.

(Zant)"Who are you?"

(Boodle)"I'm Boodle, the village chief. I've come from the shelter to feed Chouchou."

(Mawgona)"Chouchou? You mean this dog? Why is he here?"

(Boodle)"Ten years ago, my friend Hocker opened this store with Chouchou. There's a lifetime of good memories in this place for the two of them."

(Nami)"So that's why Chouchou's protecting the store. Is Hocker in the shelter, too?"

(Boodle)"...No he...he's gone to the next world years ago, due to an illness the doctor couldn't cure."

(Mawgona)"So even after his passing, Chouchou guards this building."

(Boodle)"Exactly. He's a smart dog, I can tell he knows what happened. But this shop is his treasure. If I didn't come here to feed him, he'd definitely stay in that spot until he starves to death."

(RRRRAAGGGHHHH!!!!)

(Boodle)"O-Oh no! It's Mohji!"

(Mawgona)"Listen, get away from here. I'll take him out."

(Nami)"But, you're still hurt!"

(Mawgona)"I'll be fine, now go."

Reluctantly, they all ran off, just as a man atop a huge lion approached.

(Mohji)"Took me awhile to find you."

(Mawgona)"You, you're one of Buggy's stronger men, I assume?"

(Mohji)"I am Buggy's crew member, Beast Tamer Mohji. He's really mad, you know? You committed a serious crime."

(Mawgona)"You and your captain ran out these poor villagers from their homes."

(Mohji)"We're Pirates, that's what we do."

(Mawgona)"A true Pirate doesn't hurt the innocent to have their way."

(Mohji)"We'll see about that! Kill him, Richie!"

The lion jumped down on Mawgona, as he leaped into the air, then used a building to fling his way towards Mohji. The beast's strength was more than he anticipated, as it knocked him through ten houses.

(Zant)"Mawgona!"

(Mohji)"Now, it's time to get rid of you-"

Suddenly, Chouchou started barking at the man.

(Mohji)"What's this dog doing here? Don't tell me this is the store's guard dog or something..."

Richie began to growl towards the store, no doubt wanting the food inside.

(Mohji)"Well, if it's a fight it wants...it's a fight it'll get."

Even after Hocker's death, Chouchou will still guard his shop.

Because it's the only thing he has left of him.

And if it comes down to it, Chouchou will lay down his very life.

(Mawgona)"Ugh, that lion is strong..."

After a few minutes, Mawgona finally got back to the store.

(Zant)"Wha...how are you not dead?!"

(Mawgona)"I have my ways, now I'm ready to stop...no..."

He could not believe his eyes. The store, Chouchou's only possession...was in flames.
