Epilogue
.
Luffy was watching the B block getting ready to fight in the Colosseum below when he realized someone was standing next to him. He stumbled back a bit, astonished that his Observational Haki didn’t detect the boy. The boy perked up an eyebrow at his reaction and Luffy examined him. Royal blue hair, blood scarlet eyes, and pale, sickly skin.
“What’s a kid like you doing here?” Luffy asked, after settling his shock.
“What, indeed,” the kid said, giggling a little under his breath. “He was right. You don’t remember do you?”
“Hm?” Luffy cocked his head at the little boy.
The boy gestured for Luffy to lean down so he can whisper in his ear. “Let’s play, Luffy nii-san.”
Luffy’s eyes enlarged, he suddenly saw the warm sun hitting the deck on the Sunny Go. Somebody sitting on the railing outside of the kitchen, the sea breeze rustling past the teen’s blue hair and snapping his clothes.
“Lucy!”
Luffy blinked and he broke out of his thoughts. He turned his head to see Cavendish who had been trying to gain his attention for the past few seconds.
“Is something the matter?” Cavendish said, irked. “Or are you just this rude normally? Pay attention when someone calls you.”
“Right…” Luffy indiscreetly glanced around, searching for the blue haired boy. “Hey, do they allow kids in here?”
“What? Of course not.”
Luffy ran a hand through his beard. Was I dreaming, or something?
. . . .
Luffy was defeating fodder left and right when he got down into the stadium with his block. As he dodged and attacked he saw something out of the corner of his eye and they popped out of his sockets. The blue haired boy was skipping and dancing around the stage, narrowly evading swords and clubs.
“What are you doing here, Blue Raspberry Head!?” Luffy leaped forward to push the kid out of the way of a lance.
“I told you we were going to play,” the blue haired boy said as Luffy kicked a man out of the way from falling on top of the kid. “You sure have short term memory, nii-san!”
“We can’t play here, idiot!”
“Why not?”
Luffy did a complicated flip to kick the person who was behind him and the guy who was stampeding toward the blue haired boy. They both got the teeth knocked out of them and fell unconscious. The blue haired boy clapped and cheered. “That was awesome!”
Luffy gasped when he saw a bull charging toward the kid and he raced to grab the kid and then threw him into the air, keeping him out of the way for the time being. Luffy deflected a couple of swords that were coming down on him and punched each competitor in the face, knocking them out.
Luffy caught the kid again, sighing in relief. “That was close…”
The kid was laughing his head off. “That was fun!”
“Hey! That was not the least bit fun! Are you stupid, Blue Raspberry Head?”
“It was to me,” the kid smiled brightly and Luffy’s jaw dropped as the kid began to disappear. “And by the way, I prefer Fruit Punch.”
Luffy’s arms were empty. “Eh? Huh? Wha?”
He searched around for the kid, and producing no results he crossed his arms. “That was weird. Maybe I really am hallucinating. Too bad Chopper isn’t here so I can ask him to diagnose me.”
“Pay attention to the situation in front of you! Lucy!” a gladiator jumped into the air, aiming a sword at Luffy’s back. “Or else you might lose a head!”
Luffy shoved the little kid to the back of his head and he kicked the man in the face. “You’re right! I need to focus and get Ace’s Mera Mera no mi!”
And so Luffy continued his duel.
_
Sanji grunted in pain at another kick to his head. He panted as the blood from his head stained his shirt and he gazed up at the figure of Violet.
"Everybody is naked before my eyes," Violet sneered. "I've seen everything that's been in your mind since we first met."
Sanji was stomped on the stomach again and he coughed out blood onto the floor.
"I heard you have a soft spot for women, but I didn't expect it to be this soft. How pathetic!" Violet scoffed. "Your collar is wrinkled up and your tie is crooked. Your shirt is stained with blood."
Violet uncrossed her legs and then crossed them the other way. "You look terrible. You're a good for nothing! "Black Foot " Sanji. Did you really think a guy like you could win my heart? How funny!"
All the men around Violet burst out into foul laughter.
"I can't believe you were attracted by ane-sama's beauty, you stupid jerk!" one of them guffawed.
"Didn't you know it was a trap?! You idiot?"
Sanji tried to catch his breath and find his voice. "You're lying, Violet-chan."
Violet faltered at his words.
"Hey, quit dreaming already! Ane-sama was acting!"
Sanji ignored their jeers and struggled to face Violet. "I-I know you have a beautiful heart..."
Violet tsked and got to her feet. "How can you still say such things after being beaten down so badly?!"
"Stand up!"
Sanji flinched as he was forced to his feet. His head fell to his chest as he breathed heavily. "You must have been coaxed into this by some bad guys. You don't even want to be here, Violet-chan."
"Why don't you quit being so romatic?!" Violet twirled on her heel and kicked Sanji right in the face. Sanji landed with a thud back on the ground after flying a few feet. "So stupid," Violet spat.
"That's cruel! But she's so beautiful!" one of the grunts exclaimed.
"That was a hell of a kick, ane-san!"
"You know, your chivalry will kill you some day," a new voice whispered.
Sanji slowly opened his eyes to see a blue hair teen, a bit out of place with the men surrounding the cook.
"Who...?" Sanji cringed from the pain. His brain felt fuzzy and his ears were ringing.
The teen watched as the Violet walked up and prepared to peep into Sanji's mind. "I'm wondering, Sanji. If you forgot about your promise to a certain person."
"What?"
The fuzziness in Sanji's head went away at Violet's scream. "How perverted!"
The blue haired teen sweatdropped. "I don't know what she sees in you, Sanji."
Violet fell back onto her bottom. "I've never seen anyone whose whole mind is as pink-colored as his!"
"You really need to fix that," the teen told Sanji, who was staring at him.
"What is your plan?! What is your true purpose?!" Violet screamed at Sanji. "What are you thinking under these circumstances!?
"I'm thinking about you..." Sanji struggled out.
"Cheater," the strange teen said.
Sanji disregarded him, focused entirely on Violet. "The way you looked at me at that moment, I knew you were telling the truth!"
"Boo, boo," the teen said.
"It doesn't matter if a million people accuse you, I..."
“I will not doubt a woman’s tears!” Sanji shouted, blood crowning his head.
“Ha ha ha ha!” a heartfelt voice cried in glee.
Sanji’s eyes widened. That laugh… he knew it from somewhere.
“Aoi was right. You’d even go that far, Sanji!" the teen smiled down at him. "You seem to be doing just fine on your own. This is goodbye.”
The fuzziness in Sanji’s head went away and he looked in shock as Violet attacked her own men. Then he whipped his head around, looking for that blue haired brat. Who had he been?
_
Usopp was running, his legs were numb and he couldn’t think straight. All his instincts were telling him to run, his weak mind screaming at him and convincing him that he couldn’t do anything for those tontattas.
“There was once a pirate crew that sailed the open sea!” someone sang.
Usopp froze and, panting, slowly turned around. He saw a little blue haired boy sitting on a stack of crates, swinging his legs absentmindedly.
“The Captain was the greatest man to ever be born, wearing his straw hat proudly and disregarding all scorn!”
Usopp breathed heavily as he kept listening.
“There was a no sense of direction swordsman and a foul mouthed cook. And a perverted skeleton named Brook!
A cyborg shipwright who was always super and a cute reindeer who was an amazing doctor!
Nami the cat burglar was always a sight to behold, whose beauty could only compete with Robin whose smile you can never withhold.”
The kid was abruptly a teenager and his stoic, scarlet eyes landed on Usopp.
“There was also a sniper who ran out on his friends. Who died alone and forgotten, only to be reminded by his cowardly betrayal.
Oh, the stained swords laid forlorn,
The black blazer ripped and torn.
Should he save his own neck,
And desert the trust and lives he holds
His friends will be crushed and wrecked
Their bodies still, and cold.”
Usopp stumbled backward and ripping his eyes away from the strange guy he kept running. The teen looked after him, his blood red eyes piercing.
“Gathering up all of our dreams
And going to search for our desires
A coin in the pocket and
You wanna be my friend?
We are, we are on the cruise!
We are!”
The teen’s voice faded away as Usopp kept running.
_
Law woke up from his unconsciousness to see a blurred figure sitting in front of him. He blinked and his eyes refocused. The mass of blue became a headful of hair and the pale beige became a face. The person was wearing a black shirt and long khaki pants.
“And you get captured on top of it,” the boy said playfully. “You really cause us a world of worry.”
Law was still trying to process what was going on. He tried to sit up but a blasting pain shot through his chest and torso. He strangled out a cry of pain and that’s when he remembered. Doflamingo had whipped his ass and shot him for the sake of it.
Law saw that he was in the top executives’ room where the four seats were placed. He looked down and noted that his hands were chained to the arm rest.
“Did you really believe that Doflamingo would nicely hand over his warlord position without a fight?” the boy spoke again.
Law speculated him. He’d never seen the teen before. He must’ve been an important figure for him to be allowed inside of this place alone.
“If it was me, I would’ve suspected that it was too good to be true,” the teen smiled, sitting cross legged in front of Law.
“Who the hell are you?” Law growled. “Another soldier Joker picked up in the garbage?”
“Yup!” the blue haired guy grinned.
Law faltered, surprised that this dude was so laid back. It unwillingly reminded him of that incompetent pirate he allied himself with.
“But I’m dead now so I’m not a soldier anymore,” the guy said, smiling broadly.
Law looked doubtful. “If you’re going to lie, lie better.”
The strange boy chuckled softly, a warm, wise twinkle in his eye. “I’m not lying.”
Law frowned. “Who are you?”
The boy crossed his arms, hmming in thought.
“You shouldn’t have to think about it!” Law shouted.
The boy laughed. “Calm down. It’s just that I shouldn’t have to tell you who I am.”
“Wha?”
“I’m not even technically a person, really,” the boy rubbed the back of his head. “I guess I came here to make sure you got the message.”
“You’re talking rubbish now.”
“Am I?” the boy rocked back and forth, obviously enjoying flustering the older man. “Hey, how’s Luffy?"
“How do you know Mugiwara-ya?” Law’s eyes narrowed in suspicion.
“What do you mean ‘how’? You practically replaced me with him.”
“Replaced you?” Law was getting tired of this person’s nonsense.
The boy sighed, running a hand through his hair in stress. “Ah… it’s against my better judgment to tell you…”
“Just fucking tell me!”
“Even if I did tell you, you wouldn’t understand,” the boy smiled timidly.
Law threw back his head in frustration, the shackles that kept him tied to the chair rattling. Somehow this feeling as he argued with this strange teen was nostalgic and comfortable. It may be annoying the heck out of him, but something inside of him didn’t want this conversation to end.
Law stared intently at the boy as he scratched his head apologetically. Law’s eyes enlarged by two sizes.
“Hey, can you get something out of my pocket for me?” Law said, swallowing down his excitement.
“Sure,” the boy stood and Law directed him to his pants pocket where he had stuffed the locket in.
“Open it,” Law ordered.
The boy looked hesitant to do so, gazing down at the locket with mixed emotions. After glancing at Law’s stubborn face, the teen exhaled through his nose and clicked open the locket.
The picture of their young faces filled the inside of the pendant. The chain clinked as the teen lifted it up for Law to see.
“I knew it…” Law breathed, pupils dilating as he looked from the picture to the teen. “Exactly the same…”
“No, duh,” the boy crudely clicked the locket closed again and shoved it back into the pocket. “I should leave. Besides, I only had one thing to tell you, Law no Aniki, and—“
The boy’s hand flew to his mouth, cursing himself.
“What did you call me?” Law was gawking at the boy. “Repeat what you said.”
“I called you Lawnmower Monkey,” the boy recovered himself poorly.
Law snarled at the teen. “Answer me! Who are you?! Why’re we in that picture together?! Are you an important person to me?!”
“As if,” the boy scoffed half-heartedly. “If I were a precious person to you, would you even be asking those questions?”
“You—“
The door opened and the boy disintegrated into tiny pieces, leaving Law to glower darkly as Doflamingo and his entourage entered.
“You’re awake, Law,” Doflamingo sneered as someone set up a place for him to sit. “Good timing, I was just done accompanying Fujitora to the door.”
Law glared at his every move as Doflamingo sat down in the chair, taking the strange boy’s place in front of him. King Riku was shoved back into his place in the corner of the room and the Don Quixote family members all lined up around the room, flanking the pirate’s side.
“It’s such a shame about what happened to Vellane, Law,” Doflamingo tried and failed at trying for a sympathetic gesture. “He’ll be greatly missed.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Vellane Sin, Law!” Baby Five said through the cigarette in her mouth. “Don’t you remember your own brother?”
“What you’d expect from the heartless pirate,” Buffalo chortled.
“Brother?” Law was genuinely confused. “I don’t have a brother.”
A chuckle rumbled from Doflamingo’s throat. “Haven’t you felt a void in your heart and mind since you landed here?”
Law clenched his fists. Doflamingo was right. Entirely right on his assumption. Throughout the whole way there, he had felt… empty… like something had been snatched from him. He kept searching around, as if looking for something he’d lost. He squeezed his eyes shut, straining his memory. What is it?! It hurts not to know. It’s something he must know.
“Don’t bother, Law. No matter how hard you try, you’ll never remember,” Doflamingo informed him with an infuriating smirk. “Because I’m the one who possesses those memories.”
Law opened his eyes to see the warlord holding a tiny, blood red crystal between his pointer finger and thumb. Law felt a gravitation toward it, he was sucked into the color, the form. He suddenly felt panicked, as if what Doflamingo held was his life line and it was slowly being pulled away.
“Give that back!” Law surprised himself. Back? Was he acknowledging the fact that it was stolen away from him?
Doflamingo threw the crystal and caught it in midair. Clasping it in his hand he leaned on his fist, propping his elbow up on the arm rest. His maddening smile abruptly fell off his face. “Then you’ll have to answer a couple of my questions.”
Law glared at him.
“I thought you guys wanted to destroy the SMILE factory and that was it,” Doflamingo started. “Then why are the Straw Hats working with the Little People of Green Bit? They’re not acting on some casual whim.”
“The Little People?” Law’s eyebrows furrowed.
“How did they sneak into the basement?” Doflamingo disregarded his question.
Law just kept staring at Doflamingo calmly. Doflamingo bit his thumbnail in frustration. “Why do they wanna attack Sugar? I don’t know why but they keep doing things that are causing me a lot of grief. If it’s not a coincidence, it means that they know what’s behind the darkness of this country.”
Law didn’t appear to be in any rush to answer him. Baby Five walked up and slapped him upside the head. “Answer! The Young Master is asking you questions, Law!”
Law raised his head and glowered menacingly at her. She stood her ground for a couple of seconds before she ran to Buffalo, crying.
“Don’t do it if it’s going to make you cry- dasuyan!” Buffalo sweatdropped. “You two never change.”
“I told you, I have nothing to do with them anymore. Our alliance ended,” Law said. “I don’t know what you’re talking about at all.”
“Eeeh?!” the teen was back and was standing right next to Doflamingo. “You ended the alliance? Why?!”
Law didn’t pay him any mind.
Doflamingo jeered. “Are you trying to fool me? Or do you really not know anything?”
Law and Doflamingo shared a staring competition until Doflamingo broke it and leaned back, smiling. “If Violet were here with us, she could tell what’s in your mind easily. Or…”
Doflamingo faced the old King. “You didn’t instigate them, did you, King Riku?”
While the warlord’s attention was on the King, Law watched as the blue haired teen pouted.
“They’re working so hard to help you and you just throw them aside just like that,” he sighed. “Actually, that’s exactly what I’d expect from you, but still.”
“What do you know about me that you can say those words so simply?” Law hissed, glancing at Doflamingo all the while. “And why can’t they see you?”
“Because they don’t know me. The real me.”
“And I do?”
The boy smiled. “More than you know.”
“Tell me, Law. What’s my name?” the boy asked.
“How should I know that?!”
“Because you’re the one that named me.”
“I’m getting sick of your riddles,” there was a vein protruding out of the pirate’s forehead. “Who the fucking hell are you?!"
“Get the crystal and you’ll find out.”
Law’s eyes widened. “Then that means… You’re… my…”
Law felt a tug in his gut and a memory rising into his head. “That idiotic inventor…” he breathed. “I forgot about her…”
Screams reached their ears from outside and the boy smiled, almost in pride. The Den Den mushi rang and Doflamingo picked it up.
“Sorry, Dofy!” the person on the other line cried.
“Treble?!”
“Sugar lost consciousness!”
“Hey… are you joking?!” shadows fell across Doflamingo’s face.
“All the slaves we created in these ten years!” Treble cried. “They’re becoming human again! The curse of the Hobi Hobi no mi is broken!”
“The matches can’t continue! This is chaos!” the tv announced.
“Even the Colloseum?!” Baby Five exclaimed.
“The audience is panicking!”
A one legged man barged into the room. “Hey, who are you?!”
The blue haired boy whistled as Law gawked. “This is more than I expected.”
“Are you Curos?!” the king wailed, tears in his eyes.
“Yes!” the warrior roared, leaping into the air, his sword swinging down. “Sorry for making you wait, for ten long years!”
“You’re…!” Doflamingo roared before the warrior sliced.
Doflamingo’s head was separated from his body. “I came to save you!”
Baby Five screamed.
“Young Lord!” Buffalo cried as the head of his leader thudded to the ground.
“I came to get back…!” the newcomer bellowed. “The real Dressrosa!”
Time slowed as the tiny red crystal fell to the ground. Law’s pupils dilated as it shattered onto the ground and ten lights escaped the remains. One of them came straight for him and he gasped sharply as it sunk into his head. His memories flashed through his mind and he came to realization and enlightenment. He snapped his attention on the blue haired teen and he made to stand up and embrace him, but the cuffs kept him from moving.
“Usui!” he strangled out. Forcing the tears back. “Usui…! You’re…!”
“Torao! I came to rescue you!” Luffy made his entrance.
“Mugiwara-ya?!” Law said in amazement.
“Hm?” Luffy saw Usui standing next to Law. “Who’s he?”
One of the lights smacked him upside the head and entered his brain. Images flashing through his head, he looked at Usui again and smiled brightly. “You’re alive!”
“You’ve got nothing to do here, Mugiwara-ya! What about the factory? Did you destroy it?!” Law shouted at the teen.
“Here’s the key to his handcuffs!” Violet who Luffy was carrying under his arm lifted the said key.
“You’re well prepared, it’s like you can predict the future!” Luffy complimented.
“Before you do that, I want you two to listen to me,” Usui said, time slowed again around them, but this time, literally.
“We can talk afterwards!” Luffy said, still smiling at him in such happiness it hurt. “It’s so good to have you back! First, Sabo, now you!”
Usui smiled sadly. “I’m not back, Luffy. I’m not who you think I am.”
“What’re you—“Law started.
Usui placed his thumb on his chest, over his heart. “I’m Usui’s will, his heart.”
The two pirates goggled at him.
_Flashback
The weapon sunk into Usui’s chest and came out from his back. Blood trickled down his chin. Law stared in terror as Usui pulled out of the sword again with a sickening sound.
With this… Usui smirked, a waterfall of blood escaping his mouth. You won’t be able to use me against Law no Aniki any longer, Joker.
_
The compacted heart in Doflamingo’s hands shattered and nothing remained. Little did he know, Usui had a little trick up his sleeve. Little did he know, the tiny particles in the air around him, were tiny compact DNA.
_end
“His… heart?” Law felt his own heart sink.
“I’m afraid so. I’m his cells reconstructed. Cells build off each other, so this is how I became.”
Luffy’s pupils were dilated. “So you’re a mystery Usui.”
Usui burst out laughing. “Yeah, I guess I am!”
“Why’re you here?” Law asked slowly, disappointment evident.
“Originally, I was planning to stop you from landing on Dressrosa but I couldn’t solidify before that. And you seem so determined to kill Doflamingo, I don’t even think my words could help convince you to run away.”
“And what’s your plan now?”
“I want to say what I wasn’t able to say then,” Usui answered. “What I came to tell you is that you wasted both mine and Cora-san’s sacrifice by coming here to take revenge on Joker.”
Law flinched a bit at this.
“But now that you’re here there’s nothing we can really do about it. All I want to say is that whatever you do after this— because there will be an after this— you’ll live for yourself and not risk your life for us ever again.”
“And also,” Usui took in a breath as his edges began to fade away into a bright light. “I’m proud of you, Law no Aniki.”
Law’s lips parted in shock at his words but then he smiled. “What a thing for an ototo to say to his older brother.”
Usui laughed through his teeth. “I wish I can help more. But I’m practically just a phantom. And Luffy…”
Luffy’s face was set into seriousness. Usui grinned brightly at him. “Congratulations for getting a brother back, but I hope you don’t abandon Law no Aniki because of that.”
Luffy smiled broadly. “Of course not. Because Tra-guy and I are nakama!”
“We are not! Too bad, but our alliance is over!”
“Eh?! You can’t say that. I’m the one who decides, just shut up!”
Usui laughed. “Thank you, Luffy. I leave my brother in your care.”
“Don’t talk like I’m some sort of child, Usui!”
Law faltered as he saw Usui continuing to fade.
“I’ll see you again, Law no Aniki,” Usui tapped Law on the fist, Law’s wrists still connected to the chair. “Because you always came back for me.”
“This time, you’ll be the one leaving,” Law smiled. “And I’ll be the one trying to catch up!”
Usui’s lower half was gone and his hands were disintegrating as well. Usui smirked. “Don’t flatter yourself. As if you can compare to the legend of Vellane Sin.”
“No, I’m going for the gold. I’m aiming for the heights of the renowned name of Trafalgar D. Usui.”
Usui’s eyes widened and his face scrunched up as tears poured out of his eyes. He lowered his head and cracked a smile. He lifted his face again to give his brother a wide closed eyed grin, only his shoulders and head left now.
Law smiled softly. “Give my regards to Cora-san and my family, Usui.”
Usui nodded.
“Oh! Say hi to Ace for me!” Luffy added.
“I will,” Usui’s left eye was gone as he kept beaming. “Well… this is goodbye. Kick Doflamingo's ass!”
And with those words, Usui vanished from the world.
_ _ _
Law was in a white expanse and he felt more alive than he ever had. Light on his feet and all worry gone. He began walking and taking in the environment. He wasn’t stressed about where he was and what he was doing there. It was peaceful and that was all that mattered.
“Law no Aniki,” somebody’s voice called.
Law lifted his head and he smirked. “Waste of space.”
Usui chuckled and Law took a few feet forward to stand in front of his little brother. “Did you live without regrets?”
“Yeah, except…”
Usui smirked teasingly. “Left a little lady friend back on earth?”
Law hit him across the head, irked. “Stop making such an annoying face.”
Usui laughed and they heard sobbing a few feet from them and they both looked to see Ace hugging a bawling Luffy and Sabo.
“Died because he kept pushing his body too hard, and he just became Pirate King too,” Usui whispered forlornly.
Law frowned as they watched the trio.
“You should’ve seen their faces!” Luffy sobbed. “I didn’t want them to look like that! How could I do that to them?!”
“His crew, huh?” Usui’s eyes were downcast. “Life is just too cruel. Sanji even lost…”
Usui's sentence trailed off.
“Stop crying!” Ace hit Luffy over the head. “Your friends are tough enough to deal with this!”
“But…!”
“Ace, be more consoling,” Sabo tried to calm the man down.
“And you!” Ace roared at the now cowering Sabo. “You made us think you were dead!”
“Not intentionally!”
Usui and Law smiled at the bickering brothers and Usui flicked his head toward the way ahead. “Ready?”
Law nodded. “Ready.”
They began to walk and Usui was skipping happily. “I really bonded with your little sister. She didn’t like me at first because she thought I was trying to steal you away but we managed to settle our differences. Your mom is really nice and your father was eager to learn more about how you grew up. Cora-san’s excited to see you and…”
Law listened intently at Usui’s rambling as the white expanse developed into color and structure.
He saw Cora-san sitting and talking to a teenage girl and suddenly catch on fire. The girl hurried to smother the fire and after the flames died down, Corazon caught sight of Law. The teenage girl saw his shocked face and whirled around to see her brother. Usui stepped back out of respect as the blood related siblings’ eyes tear up and they ran at each other.
Embracing and crying, yelling out incoherent words, Corazon walked over and put a hand on Law’s shoulder. The pirate looked up and Corazon’s own tears landed on the man’s face. Usui saw Law’s mother spot them and dropping the dish of fruit ran to join their huddle.
“What’re you doing standing back here, son?”
Usui looked up to see Law’s father was standing next to him. “I’m giving them space.”
“You don’t think you belong?”
Usui lowered his gaze and kept his mouth shut.
“Come now,” Law’s father chuckled. “You don’t honestly believe you’re the odd man out. You were the last one to leave his side you know.”
“Yeah, but still…”
“See there.”
Usui’s head snapped up and he saw that Law’s eyes were on him, piercing through.
“He wants you next to him.”
“Are you sure he’s not looking at you,” Usui slid to the side a bit and Law’s eyes followed. Usui slid back and a tick mark throbbed onto his brother’s head as he still followed Usui’s movements. Law beckoned him closer with his hand impatiently.
“What did I tell you?” Dr. Trafalgar smiled. “Let’s go join them together.”
Usui beamed brightly and nodded.
When the pair got there and were accepted into the group hug, Corazon caught fire again and they were all burning up.
“Cora-san!” Law yelled at his role model. “Will you please stop miraculously catching aflame?!”
“I’ve been trying to for these passed decades! Give me a bit of credit!”
“He really has been trying, nii-san,” Law’s sister giggled.
“Don’t yell at your elders, Law!” his mother scolded.
“Hey! I’m not that old!” Cora-san pouted.
Usui laughed as they all began rolling around the grass, trying to kill the fire.
Back down on earth, swaying and clinking as the wind rushed through was a locket hanging above two graves decorated with bright flowers and the Heart Pirate’s symbol. The locket clicked open and the smiling faces of two brothers could be seen as the gale made it dance. You can almost hear their laughter.
“You are old, Cora-san!” Usui laughed.
