~Ace's pov.~
I can't believe it. One moment she was fine but the next moment she's dying. Please (y/n) stay with me. Stay alive.... Because I love you. I think as I'm walking to the med bay on the ship. As I walk at a steady speed I notice I was actually slowing down. My mind clogging with bad thoughts of what if? What if they had to kill her because she couldn't deal with the pain. What if she is asleep and is no longer with us? What if she... Loves me and was never able to tell me? What if she doesn't even make it out alive? What if she tells me she loves me and never hears me say it back? Was my last thought when I reached her room. I knock softly. "Cough* come in." I hear her nice honey like voice speak through the door. I open it and walk in. "Heyo Ace." She says. I notice it looks like she hasn't sleeped in forever. "Hey (y/n) how have you been?" "Fine just fine really tired but that's normal." I smile a small smile to her she just grins. "You want me to cuddle you like old times when you couldn't sleep?" I ask she just nods. She moves over on her bed so I have room to get in it. I slid in the bed then take my hat off. I lay down and put her head to my chest. She closes her eyes and starts humming. Just like old times.... Before this.
~Flashback 3 years ago~
I was walking around the ship watching just in case some unwanted people get on board. But that's a bad move on th for sending me because I'll probably end up asleep. I was going down a hall way peice and here queit whimpering and long with sniffiling. I then notice that is was (Y/n)'s room. What is she doing up so late? I knock on her door just to see her candle light blow out and the moving of bedsheets. Nice try I know you're awake. I open the door and walk in. I head tword her (F/c) colored bed. I then turn my pointer finger on fire to look at her. Ah ha I knew you were awake... Wait was she crying? "(Y/n)-chan I know your awake. And are you alright? You look like you were crying." She opens her eyes only for me to see them red from her salty tears. When she looks up at me, she starts to cry even more. "(Y/n)." I sit down and wrap her in a hug. "Was it a nightmare?" She nods her heaf, and puts her head in my chest. I knew I was blushing. Thank God that there's no light for her to see my blush. "Would you like to tell me?" I ask. She stops crying and nods her head. "I was having a good dream until..... You died then everyone else died to.... I-i was the only one alive then-then you all came back... But dead.... Saying it was my fault you died." She says with a shaky voice. "(Y/n) it's alright. We are all still alive and even so. We are all a family here, we would all risk our lives to protect you and you help protect us. Don't ever think that anything like that is your fault ok?" I say to her. I can't stand to see the girl I love cry. She hugs me even tighter. "Thank you Ace. But could you stay in here with me tonight. So I can sleep nice?" She asks. "Of course. I'll sit in that chair over there ok?" "No! P-please just. C-could you s-stay in my b-bed. And maybe h-hold m-me?" She says. I blush even more. I then lay her back down and get in on the other side of her bed. "Thank you Ace." I just nod and hold her in my arms. She moves to lay her body on my chest then starts humming. After a few minutes she started to sing.

She finish singing the I hear little snores saying she fell asleep. I love you so much.
~Present time~
I smile foundly at that memory. "What are you smiling about Mr. Firefist?" I chukle softly. "At the first time you had me sleep with you." She blushes. (No naughty thinking reader-chan.) "Ace I have something to tell you." She says. "What is it?" "I-i... I am getting the plug pulled." She says with tears going down her face. "Wait what?!" "It's happening today. And I wanted you to hold me a little longer. Well what I'm saying Ace is that I love you, and I want you to pull it." She says looking at me. "(Y/n) I can't do that. I have loved you so much that I can't do that." I say with tears rolling down my face. "Please Ace. Please." She pleads to me. I take a deep breath in and nod. Not wanting to but having to. She then hugs me and whispers a faint whisper 'thank you' I just high her again. I then say "I love you" to her grabbing her life line. "I love you too Ace." She says and kisses me. I kiss back then pull her cord. Time slows down to where she lays here head on my chest breaking the kiss sY her last words. "Ace please keep on fighting for what's right and always stay happy. I will always love you with my whole soul." She says close in her eyes. By this point I'm sobbing wanting her to co.e back and singore songs at when we were suppose to sleep. Wanting her arms around me after we win a fight. "I love you too (Y/n)."
