12 Arnav's approach
Part 12 Arnav's approach
"I'm not a CHOICE... I don't want to be a choice... Try to understand that, Buaji" Khushi exclaimed.
"But, Arnav bituwa..."
Cutting her,
"No, Amma... I don't want to get married... I don't want to marry anyone..." Khushi exclaimed.
She got stuck, seeing Arnav standing at the doorstep, looking at her, hearing what she just said. He walked in. He didn't expect anyone to welcome him. Garima smiled at him awkwardly and he reciprocated it casually.
Khushi took a step to go in, she stopped, hearing Arnav.
"She is scared, aunty..." Arnav said
Khushi looked at him confusingly.
"It's obvious if she scars... After all, she is a GIRL..." he said.
"I'm not scared...why would I be scared? and I strictly opposing your word GIRL... what do you know about girls...? Haan...? Stop degrading girls..." Khushi said strongly but calmly.
"I'm not degrading GIRLS... you are the one who is doing that. Instead of facing the situation, you are the one who is running away... you are scared to face Neerav in the same house every day... that's why you don't want to marry me" Arnav said.
Khushi looked at him shockingly.
"There is nothing to be shocked... This is how right people fail... Neerav is the one who should be guilty to face you. Instead of him, you are doing that... Why? What's your mistake? Why are you hesitating? Don't you want to make him feel bad for missing you? Will you be quietly accepting the defeat? If yes...I will dare to say, girls are powerless... and... you should not question me. Instead of getting angry, show the world that how strong you are. Instead of talking about girls' power, show it by your actions... be a representative of girls. "
Khushi was tight-lipped. She didn't feel to say anything.
"If you still want to be stubborn, veiling your cowardice behind your so-called girl power talks, I won't spare it..." Arnav glared at her.
Garima and Buaji were looking at Arnav getting inspired. They looked at Khushi who was suffocating.
"She lost her courage after Shashi's demise, Arnav bituwa..." Bauji said adding fuel into the fire.
"I don't lose my courage..." Khushi exclaimed.
"Then marry me..." Came from Arnav.
Khushi looked at him with a blow.
"If you have courage... If your words are not just words but true, marry me and come out of the shell" it certainly sounded like a challenge.
"Her words can never be a lie, Arnav bituwa..." Garima said.
Arnav shrugged his shoulders off, lifting his brows.
"Khushi... Tell him, you are ready to face anything..." Garima said.
Khushi closed her eyes suffocating.
"I thought you are a brave girl... But..."
Cutting Garima,
"I'm ready... I'm ready to face anything... and I'm ready to marry him..." She said looking at Arnav with her head up gaze.
There was a winning smirk appeared on Arnav's lips. Damn this man is so beautiful. Not just from the outside but also from the inside. A man is more beautiful than anything when he respects a girl, her ability, makes her understand who truly she is, what she can do. If it so, Arnav is damn beautiful... Doesn't he?
"I would like to talk to him..." Khushi said Garima and Buaji.
Garima looked at Arnav who blinked his eyes.
"We will bring you coffee," Bauji said and walked towards the kitchen.
Garima went to the kitchen following Buaji not waiting there.
Arnav folded his hands, looking at Khushi, like, SHOOT.
"I... I need..."
Cutting her,
"You can take time... "
She looked at him perplexed.
"To get a fix into the relationship..." He didn't smile while saying so.
Khushi was getting more embarrassed.
"I mean..." she stammered.
Arnav bit his inner lip to control his smile.
"You think too much... don't you? " he asked.
Khushi looked here and there. He maintained a smile on his face. Khushi gulped down.
"Could you let me talk? "
"Tell me"
"I'm not scared but embarrassed... and I don't want to embarrass you guys too. I just thought of uncle and aunty..."
"They are very guilty about Neeravs denial. They want you to accept this proposal. Understand them."
Khushi became silent.
"You no need to worry about anything... If the situation embarrasses you, again and again, we will go to London..." Arnav said.
Khushi looked at him bewildered.
"With Garima aunty... Is that fine?"
Khushi gulped down.
"Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Just because your family had given word to our family about the marriage, why are you putting yourself as a scapegoat?" she asked.
Arnav controlled the smile which was trying to jump out of his lips.
"Scapegoat? Like really?" Arnav questioned her back.
Khushi frowned.
"No one could cut my neck off... because I'm not a goat" he smiled.
"It seems you have learned to speak in London" she sighed.
Arnav chuckled.
"I didn't do any learning course in London. I already knew to talk. I just didn't interact with people a lot. Didn't I talk to you at my parents' wedding anniversary function? You too told me that your father's perception was wrong..."
Khushi nodded yes.
"I hope you didn't forget about what I asked for," Khushi said.
"I have not forgotten..."
"What? "
"Job..."Arnav smiled.
Khushi nodded yes.
"Do you want to join the job after marriage or before? " he asked.
"Did you fix the marriage date or what? " Khushi asked.
Arnav laughed.
"Going to... our marriage will be tomorrow or day after tomorrow..."
Khushi widened her eyes. Arnav chuckled again. Khushi couldn't understand how he is so casual.
"Babuji..." she was about to say something.
"I know... I will ask mom to discuss it with our Pandit. Is that fine? "
Khushi nodded yes.
They saw Garima coming with coffee and also with Buaji. Arnav took the cup and sipped.
"Very good coffee aunty..."
Garima smiled.
"You know; this is the only thing I missed in London. I felt irritated not getting a good coffee there... If you start a coffee shop in London, you will become a millionaire in a few years" Arnav said sipping the coffee.
Garima smiled.
"Do you have an idea of going back to London?" Garima asked.
"It's not in my hand's aunty..." He said, sipping the coffee looking at Khushi.
"Means?" Garima asked whereas Buaji smiled, understanding the meaning.
"After getting married, how can he decide it on his own? His Srimathi would also have to decide about it..." Buaji smiled.
Garima nodded yes looking at Khushi, getting the meaning of his words whereas Khushi suffocated.
Arnav drank the coffee smilingly.
In the meanwhile, RM
"What are you thinking Ratna? " Arvind asked.
"I'm thinking about Khushi"
"I too am worried about her decision"
Ratna nodded yes.
"I don't know how Chotte said confidently that he will make her agree to the marriage," Arvind said.
"I noticed one thing..." Ratna said thoughtfully.
"What? "
"I saw a difference in Khushi when she came back from the hospital"
"Means? "
"Chotte was the one who brought her from the hospital"
"You mean, Chotte may be the reason of the difference in Khushi?"
"Yes... she was so broken down before going to the hospital..."
"I can recall that... she fainted for many times before that"
"then how did she become confident all of a sudden? " Ratna questioned him.
Arvind nodded yes.
"I think Chotte should have had a talk with her"
"But, how Khushi listened to him? "
"He was talking to her at our anniversary party," Ratna said.
"In our anniversary party? A year ago? " Arvind asked.
Ratna nodded yes.
"You are thinking unnecessarily..."
Ratna was silent. Maybe...
