"Jen?"
"Yeah"
"Do you remember how I always had a lot of girls and I slept with a lot" he said nervously.
"Um.. heh, yeah"
"Well I always did it to hide my true feelings for this girl--"
"Who?" I asked calmly.
"Well, I'll tell you eventually but not now"
"Oh, ok"
"Well anyways, I just don't want you to think I'm a player who likes to hurt other people"
"Chris, your my best friend and I will always think the best of you, and honestly I never thought of you as the player who didn't care about anyone's feelings"
"Heh, thanks"
" wait did you know your brother is "friends" with this girl named am-- um---"
"Amber!!"
"Uh yeah that's her name"
"Yeah, I know, they're always kissing"
We talked and then realized it was late so we both went to sleep.

The next morning was kind of awkward. I honestly didn't understand why, it just was. As we descend on the elevator, Chris breaks the silence. Honestly I developed a feeling when we went to prom and danced a slow song. We stared into our eyes the whole song,  it was really romantic. At one point our faces were really close, and were getting closer. Until, someone called his name and our special moment had faded away. I sometimes wonder what could've happened if that one person didn't call out on Chris, if we would have kissed. We never talked about it but now i might ask.
In the university we talk and joke until we both went our separate ways. Classes were slow I took notes and read but my day was pretty boring. Lunch came around and I walked over to the cafe. It was full and busy. The line was really long so I left and went to a cafe off campus. The cafe was quiet and half empty. As I wait in line someone calls my name.
"Jennifer"
"Huh" I turn around to see Amber and three other girls sitting on a table not too far from the line.
"Hey, Amber right?"
" Yes, why don't you sit with us?"
" um no thanks I like to sit on my own"
"Nonsense your my boyfriend's best friend we should get to know each other" as she spoke I grabbed my coffee and she pulled me over to her table
"Um--"
"Listen, Jane--"
"It's Jenn--"
"Look Nicholas Miller is mine and he is happy with me so I don't want some nobody trying to mess with our relationship"
"Look Amber I don't want anything with Nick we're just best friends and a tip of advice don't get too jealous cause then your gonna get uglier than u already are"
As I walk away I hear people gasp and a split second later my back was stung by hot coffee. I turn around and see Amber smiling with her friends.
"Oops, sorry" she said with a grin on her face.
She didn't really think she could get away that easily did she? I grab my coffee spill it over her head.
" you bitch"
"Oops, my bad" I said as I walked through the door.
I really wanted to have a good relationship with Amber but she ruined it. As I ran to my apartment I threw on an old shirt. I really haven't explored the town I moved to. As I walk done the street I see a pet shop with cute adorable pets. I look around and spot the puppy cages I run over to see a few dogs there were pugs, yorkies, German Sheperd, and an Australian shepherd. The dogs are pretty cheap as I look around for my new companion I end up with---
