Two weeks have gone by and Chris is still the same. Nothing new. Same hospital, same room, same chair, same beep, from the same machine. The doctors keep taking tests, and I am there from 5pm to 5am. I go straight from school to the hospital and sometimes make a stop at my apartment to grab some fresh clothes. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night thinking I have heard my name and Chris has finally woken up, but then I realize he hasn't.

Today I woke up and went to school. There I bumped into Nick, he didn't seem too good.

"Hey Nick" I said.

"Hey, Jen"

"are you ok?" He had big dark circles around his eyes and looked exhausted.

"no, i'm not, me and Amber got into a fight" he said with a hurt tone and sad eyes.

"about?" it was hard not to ask about what, so me being my nosy self I asked.

"My friend says he caught Amber with another guy making out in the bar" he kept looking down at the floor, embarrassed.

Knowing Amber, she probably did cheat on Nick but I wasn't gonna tell him that, at least not that straight forward.

"do you think she did?" I said with a frown on my face.

"I don't know what to think anymore" he seemed really hurt.

" well why don't you do some research, find some evidence, spy on her to see if she did or is" I'm not gonna lie, this was a pretty good idea, and it being so good that Nick agreed to it.

For the past few days we'd meet up at a local cafe, where we would laugh, and talk, and came up with what to do about Amber. Nick lied to Amber, telling her that this three day weekend Nick was going on a family trip, so tonight we get to follow Amber.

I was ready, I felt bad-ass, me and Nick both did, we kept laughing at how ridiculous we looked and how childish we were acting.

Finally we arrive at Amber's place and park not too far from her car. Two hours later she hopped on a taxi, we followed her to a bar downtown. She sat on a table for two, i could tell Nick was really anxious to see what she was gonna do. He was nervous and sweaty, probably hoping he wouldn't find any skeletons from Amber.

A few minutes later we see a pretty decent looking guy sit next to her, they started talking and laughing, finally they called a cab. Here we go again, we follow her and end up at Amber's apartment building, coincidentally Nick happened to have the apartment spare key. Amber went inside leading the man in. I looked at Nick, his eyes were watery, he told me to stay in the car and wait. He quickly went inside.

Seconds past by like Minutes and I was getting worried and anxious, not to long after that I see Nick run back, with tears rolling down his eyes and Amber's engagement ring in his hand.
