Gwendolyn Matsumoto is moving away from all she knew, all because a family member had past away. To deal with family affairs, the Matsumoto family moves to Japan, the home of her father. Back home, she was what people would call, one of the "cool kids", but now she has to start all over.

She moves to the Miyagi Prefecture and starts to attend Karasuno High as a second year, it's there she meets Amaya Chiyo, Rio Kaijyama, Sayuri Hikari, Usagi Sumiko Nora Sakurai, Himari Echizen,  Rai Miazuki, Kuro Tsukiko and Mai Asami. They make her feel at home right away and it's through them that she meets Hisashi Kinoshita, and once again she feels like one of the cool kids.
