Chapter 1:
I woke up this morning and stared at my ceiling. It was nice and quiet in the house and I just lay enjoying the peace. My mind wandered to the list of things I had to do today: get up, get a shower, get dressed, go to work ect. I blinked myself out of my trance and began to get up, ready for a new day.
I should probably introduce myself, my name is Faith Williams. I'm nineteen years old and an only child, my parents died last year in a car crash, leaving me with nothing but their name. I decided to move to a quieter area of London and escape my once hectic lifestyle. I now live in a two-bedroom terrace house opposite Regents Park with my two best friends, Sarah and Nicole, living in the terraces either side of mine. I work at a small flower shop in central London called 'Millie's Flowers', alongside the owner Katie.
I decided to peel myself away from my cream colored duvet and head for the shower, I grabbed my towel and rest it on the sink while I waited for the water to warm up. After a few minutes of waiting, I stepped in and let the lukewarm water hit my soft skin, running down to my feet until it trickled towards the plug hole. I squirted a pea sized amount of my pear scented shampoo in my hand and massaged it into my hair, creating bubbles on top of my head. I rinsed out the shampoo and used the matching pear conditioner; after washing my body and turning the shower off, I wrapped my towel around my body and walked towards my bedroom. I put on my underwear first, then a pair of light wash skinny jeans, a floral top and some flats to finish it all off. I glanced at myself in the mirror and decided to put on some cat-liner to frame my bright green eyes, some mascara and finally my red lip tint; turning back to the mirror I smiled happy with what I saw, I then grabbed my phone and car keys and headed out the door.
"Hey Faith!" I heard Sarah yell from her front garden.
"Hey Sarah!" I returned, watching her plant some of the flower seeds I gave her during the week. I smiled to myself and jumped into my car, heading off to work.
As I arrived, I grabbed my keys and walked through the front door of the shop hearing the all familiar door bell. "Hey Katie!" I shouted to her, knowing she was in the back. Her tall slim figure walked through the door leading into the small room we have at the back of the shop, which Katie decided to turn into a living area for us. My back was facing her as I hung my jacket up on a hook by the back door.
"Hey Faith!" she said wiping her hands on her apron, trying to get rid of the excess soil.
"How's it been this morning?" I asked, seeing that the shop was fairly quiet.
"Surprisingly quiet. It's never normally like this." she thought, scrunching her eyebrows softly.
"Well I suppose it is a bank holiday." I reasoned, knowing it was always quiet on a bank holiday. She shrugged her shoulders and nodded in agreement.
"Faaaaaiiittthhhh!" I heard a childish scream that made my smile appear instantly. Katie often brings her four year old daughter Millie to work, she loves it here and is always a great help, she always makes us laugh too.
"Hey Millie Moo!" I gushed, picking her up and giving her a large hug, the smile never leaving my face, or hers. "You okay?" I asked. She noded her head silently with a smile still on her face, making me and Katie giggle.
"Want to help me with some flower arrangements?" I asked, already knowing her answer. She loved arranging the flowers.
"YEAH!!" she yelled, making me chuckle. I carried her on my hip over to the table before I set her down on the floor, picking up several flowers and asking for her opinion.
Katie stood giggling at her daughter before we were all interrupted from what we were doing.
"I'll get it." Katie smiled as she walked over to the phone and answered it.
---{Harry's POV}---
"Hey mum!" I smiled giving her a rather large hug. I haven't seen her in ages and considering I have some time off, I called her straight away. "I've missed you so much!" I mumbled into her neck as I hugged her tighter.
"It's great to see you Harry. I've missed you too!" she said as she hugged me. I pulled away from her and gave Robin a hug, happy to see him as well; grabbing my mums bag, I took it upstairs and showed her and Robin to the guest room.
"I'll leave you guys to get sorted, be ready in half an hour and we'll go out for a meal." I said to them, I heard an 'okay' from the both of them and closed the guest room door. I ran back down the stairs and took out my phone seeing I had a text message from my girlfriend Laura:
Laura: Hey babe, tomorrows our one month anniversary! Yayy! Cant wait to see what you got me. See you then. xoxo
I didn't think that one month really mattered that much. I mean, it's only a month, it's not like it's 6 months, or a year!
Me: I know. Yeah I can't wait either, see you then .xx
Well I'm sure she'll appreciate something simple like a teddy, or choclates, or something like that. I have no idea what to get her and it's tomorrow! What a great boyfriend I am. Note the sarcasm.
Me: hey Lou, any ideas what I can get Laura? It's our one month anniversary tomorrow apparently.
I waited anxiously for a few minutes for his reply.
Lou: How about some dog sh*t in a bag? One month is nothing Harry, don't get her anything! She's just using you. If she wants something she can get it herself.
Me: Why don't you like her? She hasn't done anything to you.
Lou: Yes she has Harry! She has insulted every single one of us. And shes a bitch to Eleanor. You just choose not to see it.
Me: I know she's hard to handle sometimes but she's not that bad.
Lou: You've just proved my point. But whatever.
I rolled my eyes at Lou's messages. I know she was a bit snotty sometimes but she was never that bad. I decided to call a florist, it seemed like the safest and most simplest option.
I browsed on the Internet and found a small florist in central London called 'Millie's Flowers' I rang the number and waited patiently for them to answer.
"Hello, Millie's Flowers, how can I help?" a confident voice asked.
"Hello, I'm looking for some flowers for my girlfriend." I asked unsurely into the phone.
"Well you've come to the right place," she giggled before continuing, "What kind of flowers would you like?" she asked.
"Erm... Nice ones?" I hesitated, unsure of any flowers I could give to Laura.
I heard her chuckle at my response, "How about we arrange some flowers for you, and you come by tomorrow and pick them up? If you don't like them you can just look around the shop and choose something else if you'd like?" she asked me through the phone.
I smiled, "Yes please that would be brilliant, I have no idea when it comes to flowers." I chuckled to myself.
"Well I'm sure your girlfriend will love them." she responded, I smiled. "Okay so, name?"
"Harry Styles."
"Okay Mr Styles that's fine, we'll arrange the flowers tonight and you can come by whenever you like tomorrow to collect them. Is that okay for you?" she asked politely.
"Yes, that's fantastic! Thank you very much!" I replied.
"No problem, it's my pleasure! Bye."
"Bye." I spoke and hung up the phone. Well thats one less thing I have to worry about.
---{Faith's POV}---
"No problem, it's my pleasure! Bye." Katie spoke into the phone, hanging up and placing it back down onto the counter. "Aww bless." she cooed as she walked over to me and Millie.
"What? Who was it?" I asked quietly, intrigued to know who was on the phone.
"A guy, he was clueless when it came to flowers," she chuckled, "when I asked him what kind of flowers he wanted he said 'nice ones'" I giggled with her at the man on the phone. Poor thing. "Wow you two, this is beautiful!" Katie gasped as she looked down at the arrangement me and Millie had just finished.
"It was all Millie" I said, pointing to the four year old who stood up proudly and took a bow.
"All me mummy!" she squealed and Katie lifted her up and gave her a warm hug.
"Well maybe we can give this one to Mr Styles then. How does that sound?" she asked Millie who enthusiastically nodded her head. "Come on then, let's wash your hands. They're full of dirt. Yuck!" she teased as she headed to the back room. Glancing over her shoulder, she looked to me and mouthed a 'thank you' to which I smiled.
I turned back around and grabbed ahold of the flowers, deciding to put the shops business card on the hook that stuck out, along with a romantic card that had a cute poem - putting them to the side for when he comes by tomorrow. I really hope he likes them.
