Chapter 35.

"Okay, so have you decided what you're doing?" He asks me through the phone.

"Yeah," I respond simply, carefully planning the list of things I have to do before Faith finishes work, "I'm doing a few different things in one." I smile, explaining to Scott.

"Right, well, I'm on my way over. I'll bring the screen and the film." he replies into the phone, making me smile. This is actually going to happen! I hope that everything goes according to plan.

"Thanks Scott, I'll see you in a bit." I thank him and hang up, strolling into the kitchen. Scott has been really helpful in getting me and Faith back together, he helped a lot at Millie's birthday and has given me loads of great advise.

I have decided to plan an afternoon for Faith, Millie and myself, just our little family with no other interruptions; the plan is falling perfectly into place so far, Faith is busy at work and Mills is at school, meaning I can get everything sorted and ready without any distractions.

The doorbell sounds throughout the house and I quickly run to answer it, "Hi." I smile breathlessly at the man.

"Hello, delivery for Harry Styles?" the man asks warily looking down at the place order. I nod and take the several bunches of white roses from his arms, thanking him before closing the door and placing them into the sink full of water. There are approximately one hundred white roses now placed in my sink, well, at least they were delivered on time.

"Harry?" Scott calls, obviously walking into the house. I mustn't have heard the doorbell go.

"In the kitchen." I shout back waiting for him to appear around the doorframe. When he finally does I receive a friendly smile, noticing he is carrying a large white screen and film projector in his hands. "Oh, you can put those in the living room for now." I inform as I guide him towards the living room, to where he places the screen and projector carefully onto the floor.

"So tell me about the plan." he asks casually. So I do. I tell him everything I am doing tonight for Faith; where she is going to walk, what we were going to do, what we are going to eat. I tell him everything. "And I promised Mills that she could help, so I thought she could be in charge of the flowers." I finish.

"Okay then. What can I help with?" he offers kindly, already prepared to do the work if needed. He just wants Faith to be happy, and I respect him because he has given me a chance, even though I was horrible to him. I suppose I respect him highly, he has taken care of Faith all of these years, but now it's my turn, I get the privilege of protecting her and making sure she is happy. Making sure that amazingly effortless smile of hers returns and isn't replaced with a forced smile like it is now.

"You could start by cutting the ends off all of the flowers and I'll set up the screen and projector?" I offer wondering whether he would prefer doing the screen.

"Sounds good to me!" he smiles. We both stand up and walk over to our separate tasks. I make my way through my double back doors and into my rather large garden, carrying the screen and film projector as I do so. I place them carefully onto the floor.

I have chosen to place the screen so it hangs from the willow tree that sits at the bottom of my back garden. The space is perfect and with the lack of wind or a cold breeze I can already tell that the night is going to be amazing. Today is a good day. It feels like a good day.

I hang up the white screen and position it so it won't fall, making sure that it is sturdy and supported by the branches it hangs from; I then place two large tartan blankets onto the grass just in front of the screen, placing the projector behind them. I run the cable through the double doors and plug it into a socket, happy that everything is turning out as planned.

"Done!" I hear Scott call from the kitchen signalling that he has finished his assigned job, I make my way into the kitchen seeing that he has in fact cut the ends off all of the white roses, the stems slightly shorter but still a good length.

"Thanks for this Scott. Do you mind staying here just while I run out to the shop, I have to pick up a few bits?"

"Well I can get them if you'd like? What do you need?" he replies wiping his wet hands on his jeans.

"Okay, I need a Victoria Sponge cake from the shop and then I need a banoffi fudge, hazelnut and neapolotain flavoured ice creams from the shop by Faiths work, it's called 'Marie's'." I finish my list of things, watching him nod every now and then as he tries to remember everything.

"Okay." he whispers in concentration mumbling the list of things to himself as he leaves. I decide to make myself useful and get the lanterns ready, hanging them all on the willow tree so they are ready for later. This night is going to be amazing, I really hope Faith likes it!

"Harry!" I hear a low voice mumble.

"Harry!"

"HARRY!" I am shaken awake by Scott who is currently crouched next to the corner sofa. I take in my surroundings realising that I must have fallen asleep, I avert my gaze back to Scott who continues, "it's quarter to three you need to pick Mills up from school." he reminds me thoughtfully.

"Thanks Scott." he nods and makes his way back into the kitchen where he has started to get the roses ready for when Mills arrives. I grab my car keys and hop into my car, driving the same route as this morning and parking in the same space too. I really do love picking Millie up from school, it's a joy to watch her race out and into my arms because she is that happy to see me. And it warms my heart when she draws a painting for me or makes a beaded necklace. I always put her paintings up on a specific wall that I've dedicated entirely to them. She seems to really love school.

I wait nervously, the time nearing when I will see Faith again. I wonder what she'll think about all of this, whether she'll like it or hate it or just be emotionless. I'm nervous about her response. The familiar sight of Millie's piercing blue eyes awakens me from my reviere and I crouch as she runs straight into my arms. "Hey princess! How was school?" I carry her towards my car as she grasps tightly onto my neck and a piece of painted card.

"I loved it! School is great! I made you another picture!" she grins as I strap her into the car seat. My hand takes the painting subconsciously and I glance at it, it has glitter everywhere and is a picture of my house; the sun is painted a bright yellow with gold glitter, the fluffy clouds are white with a silver glitter outline and my house is painted with red bricks with red glitter outlining every single individual brick. It is quite amazing for a five year old.

"Wow Mills!! This is great!" I enthuse making her smile, "I have my own surprise for you back at home but you can't have it until Faith is there." I smirk referring to her favourite ice cream. Not that she knows that.

A cute stubborn pout overcomes her features and she crosses her arms in a huff. I chuckle at her stubborn actions and place a raspberry on her cheek, instantly making a cute giggle erupt from her mouth. "Harry!" she whines sweetly and wipes her cheek. I close her door and hop into the drivers seat, driving the journey home.

Once we arrive back I race Mills into the garden and enthusiastically explain to her what my plan is, "you are in charge of the white roses princess, so what you have to do is make them lead out into the garden where the blankets are, okay?" I ask her, taking the painting from her fingers and showing her where the flowers were. Without hesitation she takes to her job perfectly and she begins to make a long walkway of white roses, leading them to where the screen is positioned outside.

"Right, well, I'm going to go. Good luck for tonight. I know she is going to love everything." Scott smiles warmly, patting my shoulder comfortingly. "The cake is on the counter and the ice creams are in the freezer." he informs me before leaving with another 'good luck'.

I glance at the clock and notice it is half past three, only half an hour until I have to pick Faith up. "Harry I'm finished with the flo- Is that a cake?!" Mills screeches as she notices the cake. I giggle at her expression and I take the cake out of the box and place it on a plate.

"Yeah, but don't tell Faith that I bought it," I wink at her cheekily, "that can be our little secret." I smirk, watching as she giggles to herself.

---{Faith's POV}---

Today had been absolutely hectic and I'm ready to go home, get a bath and relax. I'm too tired, I simply want to sleep.

I'd already packed up and locked the shop so I'm currently stood outside waiting for Harry to arrive. I still can't believe I'm living in the same house as him, after all of the fighting and disagreements, he is always there for me no matter what. I owe him a lot, without him, me and Millie wouldn't have a home or a bed or food. We'd be nothing without him.

And I know how much he loves Millie, he is like a father figure to her now, they are perfect together. Any paintings that she brings home from school he puts on a wall in the kitchen that he has dedicated to her art; it's heart warming to watch them together. It's like we're a little family, and I don't want to ruin that, I love Harry. I just can't say it to his face. He deserves to know though, after all that he has done for me, I know he feels guilty every day for what he did and I can see the pain cross his face sometimes when he's deep in thought. I hate to see him feel guilty, but at the same time, he made me feel heartbreak and as much as I want to, I struggle to forget that.

Harry's car pulls up in front of me, Millie sat happily in the backseat, their voices are silenced by the thick glass windows as I hop into the passenger seat. "Hey." I smile, sighing slightly after my tiresome day.

"Hey," they respond in unison, "how was work?" Harry continues, his eyes flickering from me and then back to the road.

"Tiring. I just want to relax." I say resting my head back against the head rest then closing my eyes.

"We'll be home soon." Harry smiles, those beautiful pearly white teeth and enticing dimples being revealed as he does. His smile makes my heart flutter.

Harry was right, the trip home was surprisingly short and I just couldn't wait until I got to get into a nice lukewarm bubble bath! I step out of the car and make my way towards the front door as Harry helps Millie from her carseat, both of them whispering and having their own conversation as I unlock the front door.

My eyes instantly widen and my jaw drops slightly as the door swings slowly open.

I see a perfectly straight runway of tea candles and white roses in the hall, my body swiftly turning around and facing Harry and Mills who are now stood directly behind me with smiles on their faces. "What's this?" I question, unable to stop the small smile from creeping onto my face.

"Why don't you find out?" Harry whispers, his hot breath tickling my neck as he winks cheekily at me, making my smile grow larger. I chuckle at his words and begin walking down the hallway, through the dining room whilst still following the candlelit and rose runway, through the double doors and into the large back garden.

I look up astonished at the view in front of me. Small candlelit lanterns dangle from the willow tree as a large white screen hangs securely from a sturdy branch, the film projector placed behind two large blankets that lie on the grass. I let out a quick breath in amazement.

White roses are everywhere, they're my favourite flowers. The candles flicker effortlessly in the tiny lanterns that hang from the trees. The projector suddenly switches on flashing photos from Millie's birthday party, some from Disneyland, others from mine and Harry's first date and the rest of the three of us together. Everything is just perfect.

There are three plates placed onto the floor that have Victoria sponge cake on, reminding me of the one that me and Harry made together on our first date. He has done all of this for me.

It is then that I remember I haven't actually said anything since I opened the front door.

My body swivels slowly to find Harry stood smiling at the screen, Millie placed on his hip as his strong arms hold her up. Harry's beautiful green eyes shimmering in the candlelight making him look even more stunning than usual, his brown luscious curls as perfect as ever and his prominent jaw highlighted and more pronounced. He makes me fall in love with him all over again.

His soft gaze flickers to me, placing Millie onto the floor. She runs and sits cross-legged on top of the blankets digging in to her slice of cake. "You did all of this?" I ask, my green orbs never leaving him.

"Yeah," he nods with a slight blush, "I had help setting things up, but the ideas were all mine." he smiles shyly, not knowing how I was going to react to all of this.

"Wow." I breathe. My expression hard and disbelieving, Harry obviously took this as a bad sign because his head hangs low and he becomes incredible fascinated with his shoes. "This is incredible Harry." I finish, watching his head slowly rise, unable to comprehend my words. "It's perfect." I whisper.

I can see how much trouble he has gone through to do this for me, and I can see how hard he has worked to make sure this is special. That's what I love about Harry, he never gives up. He will spend the rest of his life trying to make it up to me, showing me how much he loves me and cares for me.

A deep shaky breath escapes his lips, he has clearly been holding it in. "You did all of this for me?" I ask him just to clarify.

A simple nod is enough, I instantly wrap my arms around his waist and bury my face into his chest, his musky scent filling my senses and overpowering me. Everything about him is incredible. I tighten my grip around his waist when his own arms wrap themselves around my shoulders, pulling me closer. I kiss his chest lightly, my grip becoming even stronger every second I am consumed by the embrace. I wish I could stay like this forever, warm in his arms like I'm supposed to be.

"Come on! You're missing it!!" Millie whines childishly and points to the white screen, that reflects our memories. We reluctantly tear apart and sit either side of Millie before tucking into our slices of cake, sharing with the little rascal of course, and watching our captured memories flick across the screen.

Mills giggles at a picture from her birthday of Louis and Eleanor pulling funny faces with Niall photo-bombing in the background. It makes me chuckle seeing all of the friends I have grown to know and love, they have changed me, made me more self confident and out going opposed to the introverted and shy girl I once was.

There is a picture of me and Harry from the awards ceremony in my incredible blue silk gown and Harry in his tux, his cute little bow tie was my weakness. I remember how happy we were, and how he came into my room at night because he wanted to be with me; that's the Harry I love, I know he has done some stupid things but he regrets it, and he's apologised several times, maybe I'm being too harsh on him. Maybe he needs to know how I truly feel.

That I'm completely and incandescently in love with him.

I always have been.

I never stopped.

And I never will.

~~

It has been several hours since I arrived back home and we have eaten the half of the cake and our individual cartons of our favourite ice cream flavours. It's safe to say Harry really out did himself tonight!

Mills lets out a small yawn, "You tired baby?" I ask, my hand softly stroking her hair as she lies back on the blanket, all I receive is a small nod. "Let's put you to bed then, you have school in the morning." I say, picking her up in my arms effortlessly.

"I'll tidy all of this up." Harry speaks quietly, referring to the candles, white screen and the blankets. I simply nod at his words and carry Millie up to her room, I place her small frame onto the plush bed, watching her sink into the sheets.

Carefully, I change her out of her everyday clothes and into her pjs, pulling the duvet over her and tucking her in. Whilst turning, I see a large muscular figure leaning against the doorframe.

I walk past Harry and watch him quietly close her bedroom door until it clicks. Giving him a small smile, I begin walking towards my own room before his voice brakes me from my actions, "are you working tomorrow?" he asks curiously.

I shake my head in response, "I should only be working in the afternoon, 2pm until 7pm, why?" I respond.

"I was just wondering." he shrugs, although I can tell he is deep in thought.

I continue walking in the direction of my room, until I stop myself right outside the door. "Thank you Harry, tonight was perfect. What you did was perfect." I state and without thinking, I stroll over to him, his hands nervously placed in his pocket while his head hangs low. He is nervous, I don't think I've ever seen a nervous Harry before but I don't like it. I miss his dimples, and his cheeky smile, and his sparkling green eyes. I place my hands either side of his face and pull his face down to my height; placing my lips softly onto his forehead for a moment before moving to his nose and then finally placing a ghostly kiss to his lips. Almost nonexistent in fact but just enough for us to smile like hyenas. "Goodnight Harry." I whisper before strolling towards my room, my lips still tingling from the touch of his heavenly lips.
