Chapter 32.
We've been in Paris for four days and we leave in three so we're making the most of it. It's been incredible so far!
We've been to Disneyland, rode on a gondola, been shopping and yesterday we went to the Eiffel towel. We rode in the elevator all the way to the top and looked out at the view, it was breathtaking, a perfect moment for all three of us. Millie was lost for words when she looked out over the view, she just smiled that beautiful smile of hers.
Since it was a hot day today, we'd decided to go to a water park. Considering Millie isn't the strongest swimmer, we placed her armbands on and put her blown up doughnut around her waist to keep her afloat. We are currently in the children's pool: it has slides and blown up pool toys for the kids to play on. Mill's immediately lit up when she noticed the dolphin so I swam and retrieved it for her, Harry pulled off the doughnut and placed her onto the dolphin, we watch and smile as she holds on tightly. "Are you having fun on holiday Mills?" Harry asks her happily, an over enthusiastic smile on his face.
"Yeahhh!!! I love it!" she screams back and splashes her feet manically in the water. I giggle at her childish actions.
"What's been your favourite part?" I quiz her, standing on one side of her whilst Harry stands on the other.
"All of it!" she smiles gratefully, "what's your favourite part?" she asks me in return.
I am slightly stunned considering I didn't really expect her to ask me that question, so I'm finding it hard to answer. "Erm, I don't know," I chuckle hesitantly, trying to think. "I'd say all of it too!" I laugh.
"What about you Harry?" she turns to his sparkling eyes and chiseled face to ask. I glance over at him and notice him already smirking, his hand holding onto Millie's back making sure she doesn't fall.
He looks up at Mill's, "anytime either of you two smile, is probably my favourite part." he speaks cheekily, my heart doing nothing but melt at his perfect words. How on earth does he do this to me, I try at put up this mad and angry front when I'm around him but he just makes me melt; everything he says is right and I can't help but ignore that little voice in the back of my head that says,
'he hurt you Faith, remember what he did.'
I bite my lip but can't prevent the small smile from appearing on my lips.
"Awwww!!!!" Millie cheers and leaps onto Harry, engulfing him in a massive hug. He places her on his shoulders, holding tightly onto her dangling legs as she leans down and whispers something mischievous in his ear, making him smirk menacingly and wink at her.
Without any warning, Millie drops her hands into the water and splashes, the water surprising me as it unexpectedly comes into contact with my face. She cutely giggles at her actions as I wipe the dripping water from my face. "Ohh, you're gonna' pay for that!" I challenge and swim closer to Harry, my hands lifting up and tickling Millie's sides, making her erupt in a contagious laughter.
"I surrender!!" Harry simply laughs and brings her down into the water next to us; She wraps both of her arms around our shoulders bringing us closer together. Mine and Harry's faces are less than an inch apart and I can't help but stare into his hypnotic green eyes, his lips also entrancing me as droplets of water trickle from his hair, down his face and over his slightly parted lips. He is truly beautiful.
He scans my face too, his eyes glancing at my lips as mine did to him, watching intently on what I will do. Our eyes meet suddenly and I am brought back to reality, clearing my throat and facing Millie as we both hold her small frame up above the water. "How about we go a play on the water slide next Mills?" I question her, knowing she will without a doubt say yes.
But to my surprise she shakes her head, "can we play with the beach ball first please?" she asks politely. I take her from Harry's grip and hold her in my arms as I swim with her to retrieve a beach ball.
She picks one and we swim back over to where Harry is, he stands patiently waiting in the water, it just coming above his navel when he stands up completely straight. He crouches down similar to me so the water is at our shoulders, "who's team do you want to be on Mills?" I ask her curiously, my eyebrows raising teasingly as I wait for her response.
She looks at both me and Harry, taking her time in choosing which person she wants to be with and attempting to make a wise choice, "Harry's," I nod as Harry takes her and holds tightly onto her as they wait for me to throw the ball.
"Only because I know he'll win." Harry erupts in laughter, squeezing his eyes shut as he does so, attempting to cover his amusement by placing his hand over his mouth but he can't contain his laughter.
"Is that so?" I watch Millie nod her head and giggle at her own words. "Well maybe I'll just keep the ball to myself, you'll have to fight me for it." I smirk evilly, holding tightly onto the beach ball.
Harry has stopped laughing but a smile remains on his plump and pink lips, he turns to Millie with a mischief in his eyes, "it's okay Mill's, I'll get it back for you." he smiles, placing her on his shoulders as he swims in my direction.
I laugh smugly, "And how do you suppose you're going to do that?" I scoff, there is no way he is going to get this off me. I refuse to give up that easily, I will have a water war with them if I have to!
"Well, I do know your tickle spots." he smirks, my eyes widen in shock at his somewhat terrifying words, he wouldn't dare. I shake my head as I watch him near me; stood up in the water, it reaching the middle of my ribs as I back up to the edge of the pool. Harry's stands and his tall frame towers over mine intimidatingly, the water reaching just above his navel.
He stands directly in front of me, leaving little space between our bodies, his fingers resting gently on my hips, their presence almost ghostly. "You wouldn't." I whisper to him, his eyes poring into mine.
"Wouldn't I?" he whispers cheekily. Harry's lips quickly kiss my nose and his fingers swiftly find my tickle spot, making me crouch over to prevent his actions. I laugh historically at his touch, my eyes squeezing shut in the process.
The beach ball leaves my hands and floated to the surface of the water allowing it to hover solemnly, Harry grabs it quickly and swims successfully into the middle of the pool.
"I told you he would win!" Millie shouts mockingly, giggling as she plays with the round beach ball that Harry had passed to her. I roll my eyes knowing she is right. In no way was I ever going to stand a chance with Harry, he has this hold over me where I can't help but give in, he takes me into a trance like state where he has complete control and all I do is admire him.
I stand up straight, I can still feel his ghostly touch on my hips, already missing the feeling of his fingers and his lips on my nose.
I swim to where they are, my eyes never leaving Harry's tall and muscular frame. He watches Millie intently as the both of them play with the ball, laughing and giggling with each other. Harry's head swivels to face me, the smile still on his lips as his eyes lock and hold with mine. I swim next to Millie and float in front of him. Our eyes never parting; I can see a glimmer in his eyes, a small glimmer of guilt and love. I know that he is sorry for what he did, and I know that he still loves me.
But there is something in his eyes that I noticed straight away when he looked at me, something he has already told me about; something that I couldn't ignore even if I tried, because he was right when he said it, and it's only now that I believe him...
'I know that this isn't permanent Faith. And that little bit of hope is whats keeping me going.'
It was hope.
