It was a Saturday, Marinette was lying in bed. There had been no akumas the past week. Which was actually relieving and boring on Marinette's part

Suddenly, her phone rang. It was an unknown number. Out of boredom, she decided to answer her phone.
"Who's this?" Marinette asked emotionlessly
"Hey~" Chad greeted
"CHAD?!" Marinette jumped out of bed "How'd you get my number?!"
"I asked for it from your ombre haired friend. Y'know, like the one with a mole on her forehead and glasses?" Chad answered
"Ugh. Alya, that traitor." Marinette mumbled under her breath
"Anyways, I've got a stray cat her with me, but I don't know what to do with it or how to take care of it." Chad said, with his usual suave voice
"You took a stray cat in without knowing how to take care of it? Tch, typical." Marinette teased
"Hey!" Chad retorted "Look, you don't need to come if you don't want to!
Marinette laughed "Yeah I'll come, i've got nothing to do today anyway. What's your address?"
"Room 103 in the Meilleur building beside the Agreste's mansion."
"Thanks, see ya at 3!"

After Marinette hung up Chad jumped up and down like a toddler, excited to see her.

Marinette memorised where the Agreste mansion was located, she knows everything about Adrien. Stalker material.
Marinette entered the building. She asked the receptionist and she politely lead her to Chad's room.
Marinette rang the doorbell and Chad answered the door. He had wet hair and pajamas on, like he came freshly out of the shower

"Wow, pajamas. Is that how you greet your guest?" Marinette teased.
"H-hey!" Chad stammered "I took a bath so that I wouldn't stink!"
"I'm just kidding around! You kno--" Marinette was cut off by a cute grey cat she saw that was licking it's fur

"Aww~" Marinette rushed over to the cat, completely ignoring Chad's presence (which he took as an offense)
She cuddled the kitten, thinking to herself ||"So Chat Noir keeps a cat of himself, like, his persona. What a dweeb."||

"Hey Marinette!" Chad retorted "I think you've forgotten about the person who invited you to their house!"
"Oh, sorry Chad. This kitty was just TOO irresistible" Marinette winked at the black cat
Chad rolled his eyes. He put on his usual black sweatshirt and backwards cap. Of course, as well as his black high-cut converse sneakers
"Why are you wearing a cap indoors?" Marinette giggled
"W-well I just feel like it!" Chad stammered
"I'm just kidding! Jeez, why do you have to stammer like that?" Marinette teased
The cat started to rub its fur all over Marinette's cheek, while Marinette enjoyed the whole scenario. As she cuddled with the affectionate kitten, a flustered Chad was hiding and covering his face, making sure Marinette couldn't see his red cheeks.

"Keep it cool man." He mumbled to himself
"Chad, how long have you been keeping this cat?" Marinette asked
"Uh—er—well actually....just yesterday night. He looked so helpless in the rain, I just had to bring him to my apartment" Chad replied, rubbing the back of his neck
"So is that why the kitten stomach is growling?" Marinette sighed
"Oh shoot. I forgot animals needed food." Chad facepalmed
"And I thought I was a clutz." Marinette giggled "Come on Chad. Let's head to the pet store."

Chad took his keys and headed out (with Marinette of course).
"There's a pet shop nearby. We'll get food to your new friend in no time!" Marinette gleamed
"M-Marinette..." Chad silently called
"Yeah?" Marinette answered
"Thanks for...helping me...." Chad smiled genuinely
A pink spread went over Marinette's cheeks but she didn't mind.
"You're welcome Chad." She smiled back "Now let's get some kitty snacks!"

Chad was definitely reminding her of Chat Noir more and more everytime she hanged out with him. Was it pure coincidence? She didn't think so. She'd find out more and more gradually

Upon entering the pet shop, Marinette spotted Adrien Agreste, who looked like he was talking to his....bag?
"A-Adrien?" Marinette called

Adrien looked at the direction to which he'd been called and the shocked expression on his face was laughable. He quickly tossed his bag to his side and ran his fingers through his hair

"Hey Marinette and......who is this?" Adrien raised his eyebrow
"O-Oh! This is Chad! I-I think you met him after your water on your chocked—i mEAN CHOCKED WATER ON YOUR—nO nOt ThAt—" Marinette stammered like her usual clutzy self.
Luckily, Chad was here to save her
"I think she means when you chocked on your water."
"Y-yeah..." Marinette grinned awkwardly
"O-Oh! Yeah...now I remember...heh. So what are you guys doing here?" Adrien asked as he observed Chad

Marinette was about to answer before Chad interrupted her and answered him himself

"Well I have a new stray cat, and Marinette was helping me take care of him. She found out that I hadn't been feeding it when she got to my apartment an—" Chad was interrupted by Adrien
"Wait...apartment? You guys hung out?" Adrien asked in a supposedly worried tone
"Oh...yeah. S-something wrong?" Marinette asked
"N-no...I just...didn't realise you guys were so....close." Adrien answered, tripping quite a bit on his words

"Well no..actually. Alya just gave him my number like a traitor!" Marinette retorted
"Pfft, I guess your friends are my friends now!" Chad ruffled with Marinette's hair
"H-hey! Just because I'm short doesn't give you the right to mess with me! I can stomp on you!" Marinette huffed, bloating her cheeks
Chad pinched her freckled cheeks "You can't even reach my face!"

"Uh...I-I guess I'll go now....." Adrien grinned awkwardly
"Huh? Leaving so soon?" Chad asked "We haven't even formally shaken hands yet!"
"O-Oh...heh...yeah.." Adrien reached out for his hand and they formally nodded at each other
"Great to see you, Mr. Model Agreste. Hope to see ya around!" He waved
"B-bye Adrien!" Marinette waved as well

Adrien realised the chemistry between Marinette and this...boy named "Chad".

"Someone's jealous.." Plagg nudged Adrien's elbow
"N-no I'm not!" Adrien retorted
"I didn't say it was you." Plagg giggled slyly
Adrien rolled his eyes and ignored Plagg the rest of the day.

Back to Marinette and Chad, they'd bought the kitty food they needs and headed back to Chad's apartment.
The cat greeted Marinette and Chad by brushing it's fur against their legs
"Awww..." Marinette picked up the cat and started to brush it with her fingers "Chad, could you take a bowl from your kitchen?"
"Oh, yeah sure." Chad did obediently as Marinette asked.

Marinette put down the cat and took a knife, cutting the cat-food sack open. Since Marinette was too weak (in civilian form), Chad took the sack himself and placed some cat food on a porcelain bowl. The cat immediately pounced towards the food and digged in. Marinette took another porcelain bowl and a carton of milk, laying it down for the kitten to drink.

"The kitten looks so hungry. Poor thing, he fell into the wrong hands!" Marinette teased
"If you want the cat then you can go just have him!" Chad crosses his arms
"Aww, sorry for hurting your feelings Chad." She pat his back "Besides, my parents would never let me take a cat in our bakery. He would just get fur all over the bread"
They both laughed as they watched the adorable little grey kitty eat to his heart's desire.

It turned late and Marinette had to head home
"I'll see ya Chad." Marinette waved "Thanks for entertaining me the whole day."
Chad waved goodbye. Upon closing the door he held his heart close, thinking of Marinette.

He was SO in love
