The flag is raised high and true,

Singing out in red, white and blue.

Her face held up to the sky,

Praising God who reigns on high.

Our land has seen war and strife,

But continues to see the dawn of new life.

Trials we've faced, battles we've won,

All with the help of the Son.

A country to be proud, the blessings we've been given,

Why from the point has our nation so far driven?

There's things in the news, rumors in the air,

There's too much going on for us not to care.

The biblical truths on which we once stood,

We've wrapped up and thrown out the hood.

We're gone, lost and no one seems to care,

We hold on but only by a hair.

The prophets of old all have warned,

Repent, turn to the truths which you have scorned.

The trouble we face the pain all around,

It comes from us looking only at the ground.

We have to look, to raise our face,

Lay down give up our place.

We're not intitled, we're not to be spoiled.

Only then will the enemy's plans be foiled.

The bitterness, the ache, he dread,

Why can't we look to Him instead?
