XXXIII. THIRTY-THREE

"My plan is to conquer the
world with punk!"

Everyone started to bicker. Angie continued to give out hugs and pats on everyone's head, it was kinda weird but in a way, really wholesome. She looked so happy talking about Atua and bringing people back to life

"Angie's Atua changes his appearance depending on who's looking" Himiko informed everyone. Everyone took their attention off Angie and Gonta to look at the tiny mage.

Kokichi scoffed "Well, that's not suspiciously convenient at all..."

"Oh, yeah. Why don't you join our student council, Gonta?" Angie asked.

In the corner of my eyes, I spotted Rantaro choking on something before he raised his voice "A-A...a student council?!

"Yeah! It'd be really reassuring if you were a part of the student council, Gonta!" Tsumugi cheered.

"Mhm... you will use your power for the peace of the academy!" Himilko cried. The group completely dodged Tantaros question and continued to discuss the recrute of new members. I gave the avocado man a smug, 'I told you so' look. It was kinda funny, he rarely showed any emotion other than happiness and seriousness, but here he was with his mouth wide open.

"W-Wait, before all of that, what exactly is this 'student council'?" Shuichi asked.

"Hmpf, I don't remember electing anyone.." Ryoma jokes.

"Late last night, Angie summoned us to discuss how we can eradicate the killing game." Kiibo hummed.

"Me, Keebo... Tenko, Tsumugi and Kirumi." Himiko started to count the members with her fingers slowly. I was more surprised that Kirumi was on that list. The mage sighed, "There's probably more people, but eh.... I'm too lazy to name them."

"The student is always happy to recruit people if you're useful, is what Angie told me. I will give my services to them if that's what they desire. '' Kirumi hummed.

"And we arrived at a conclusion!" Tenko chimed in. "This is the Ultimate Academy Student Council, with Angie Yonaga as our president!"

(The way they stand, I can't LOL)

The group moved to remove themselves from us. Making it some kind of point that they will have power over us. Shuichi looked as if he was going to log out of the game if he could, "...Ultimate Academy Student Council?"

"We've all branded together under the leadership of President Angie!" Tsumugi explained.

"Our platform... is the wholesale eradication of the killing game."

"Nyeh... Our student council promises a killing game-free Ultimate Academy."

Shuichi blinked, "A.. Student council.. And Angie is the president?"

"Yes, there can be no harmony between us if we  keep saying different things."

"Oh, shut up!" Kokichi shouted at Kiibo.

"Well, it's called the student council but all the decisions are made by Atua." Angie hummed.

"Why is she the leader?" Rantaro asked.

"Nobody, but Angie, can talk with Atua.." I explained.

"Exactly! She's the only one worthy of leading the council!" Kiibo shouted

"Nyahaha!" Angie laughed, she cupped her hands and smiled from ear to ear. "Thanks, everyone! Atua is happy, too!"

"Ah geez, they've been totally brainwashed." Kokichi muttered.

"Kehe... Angie has spread her influence before we'd even realized." Everyone turned to the tall mysterious male. "But it makes sense if you think about it. This place has all the conditions for a cult form. The fear of a death that cannot be avoided... Cults are born from a desire to escape that."

"So she's using this situation to take over the school and make us dependent on 'Atua'." Kokichi giggled.

"'Using' is a rude way to describe it!" The two started to bicker. After a while the bickering gets annoying, but this time it's kinda funny.

Angie hummed, trying to bring all the attention back onto herself. "That's right, thats right... Now what were we talking about, again?"

"The resurrection ritual.." I reminded her. She flashed me a smile and twirled her paintbrush around in her tan hands.

"Ohhh, that silly little thing! Just leave it to the student council. It's less burdensome if Atua makes the decision."

     "Less burdensome?" Shuichi asked.

"That's a relief.. If it's Atua's decisions, then it's definitely the right one."

"Yeah, there's no way Auta would be wrong." Tsumugi pointed and grinned, agreeing with the small redhead.

"Yep, yep. Atua is always right!"

"Are you guys serious?" Maki huffed. "The resurrection ritual is clearly a trap"

"Nyahaha, it'll be fine. As long as everyone puts aside their desire to leave."

"Hehehe.... I doubt they'd listen to anything we'd have to say." Korekiyo hummed. He stumped everyone in the room, not even Shuichi could debate the ultimate anthropologist. In the end, everyone left the student council members to run around in shambles.
