LXI. SIXTY-ONE

Aww, look at him tremble! He's
going to burst a blood vessel
because I dissed his Waifus !

I slowly pushed open my eyes, my arms finally catching up with the rest of my body. My arms felt sore from the projecting arrows flying into my arms. I tried my hardest to sit up, however my arms felt too sore to even use an ounce of strength.

Landing backwards, I tried to make myself comfortable looking at the weirdly polished ceiling. 'I guess... the monotubs take pride in trying to keep this rundown school spotless...'

My eyes trailed down from the ceiling to the bedside table, my schachle was openly laying down. Next to it was a small, folded piece of paper. Weakly, I reached over to open it, on it was a 'Get well soon!'... On it were many little signatures, even Maki and Kokichi signed it....

     '...cute'

A smile softly danced its way as the door to my room opened. "You're finally awake..."

    "Oh... Shuichi?"

He softly waved at me, flustered. Pointing to the towel and bowl he made his way towards me. "S-Sorry!.... I don't know if you were e-expecting Kirumi but...maybe i thought i could check up on you this once..."

       "It's fine, Shuichi."

He grinned. He placed the bowl on his lap, soaking the towel in it. Placing it on my head after drying it, he awkwardly held onto the bowl. Rubbing his finger around the outside of it. "I-It... It was Gontas' idea to write the card, you know?"

        "Really?"

"He was really worried after you passed out on his shoulder yesterday." He hummed, a soft smile danced onto his lips. We stayed like that for a while, 'god... he's so beautiful.' Shuichi scratched his cheeks, "Y-You must be bored..." He got up abruptly, giving me a soft smile. "I-I'll go get Kirumi f-for you..."

I grabbed his hands. When I did he stopped and squeezed my own. "Lets just... hang out together? I don't want to bother Kirumi too much..."

He sat back down on the bed. It creaked as he reached over to my head again. Softly caressing my head, he drenched the towel again... it's funny, I don't even have a fever...

       "Everyone was worried about you.."

       "...Me?"

"I think it's the fear of losing more people." He hummed, fixing the hem of his dark blue shirt. We stayed like that for whoever knows how long. We cracked jokes here and there while he continued to take care of me. Smiling, his stomach rumbled. "I--uh... Sorry, Y/N, I'm going to go get lunch.. I'll make sure to come back with food for you!"

He stood up abruptly, quickly gathering the bowl, giving me a tiny awkward wave, the little emo boy had disappeared completely from my room.

Shuichi's Report Card has been updated based on your experience with him.

My monopod started to buzz, but still my arms still ached. Being forced to look back at the ceiling once again... it felt like an eternity. It was quiet but also relaxing, i kinda wish nobody would come in--

"A-Angie! Wait!" A voice shouted. 'Spoke too soon..'

"Kiibo, it's fine.. Just let Angie do her thing." Rantaro walked in with a tray of food. The duo walked in as Angie threw herself onto my bed, landing on my legs. Kiibos ahoge shot upwards in fear. His hands started waving in circular motions as Rantaro patted his head.

"W-We shouldn't just barge in like this!"

"It's fineee!" Angie hummed, moving up from my legs and onto my sides, giving me a side hug, softly moving my arms. "It's not like her legs are broken!"

      "B-But..."

      "But nothing~"

      "Hey Rantaro, Angie, and Kii."

"Hey, Y/N. Shuichi offered to take food to you, but Angie took off after me...." Rantaro softly chuckled as he moved closer to me, sitting on the other side of the bed. On the tray were a bowl of steaming hot Udon. He lifted up a strand of noodles and lifted it to my mouth.

"Why don't i get a nickname?" Angie wined lifting her head up from my chest. She looked over at kiibo who had a defeated look at the doorway. "Are you going to continue standing there?"

"I might as well join you all on the bed.. Forgive me for this Y/N." He apologized quickly making his way next to Rantaro. Sitting criss cross on the bed.

      "I want to sit up..."

"Here Angie, hold this?" He passed Angie the bowl of noodles over my body, she happily engulfed the bowl in her hands. He slid his arms under my own and pulled me upwards. After getting adjusted, I finally noticed Kiibos sour expression. I asked him what was the matter.

"I feel bad..I couldn't stop Angie from running in.."

"I wasn't only coming for Y/N." Angie sighed, taking a bite out of the noodles. Rantaro leaned over to try and snatch back the bowl however she leaned backwards. "I was also looking for something."

       "Angie gave back the bowl..."

       "What were you looking for?"

"I'm glad you asked, Kiibo! Im looking for a Sickle."

       "...A sickle?" I asked.

"A sickle," Kiibo started as Angie took another bite of my lunch. "Bagging hook or reaping-hook is a single-handed agricultural tool designed with variously curved blades and typically used for harvesting, or reaping, grain crops or cutting succulent forage chiefly for feeding livestock, either freshly cut or dried as hay."

"Yeah, an exactly sickle! Y'know, crescent-shaped blade, wooden handle, cuts stuff easily..."

"Give me-- Got it. Anyways, What are you going to do with that, mow the lawn?" Rantaro managed to snatch the bowl away from the artist.

"Nyahahaha! No, silly! I'm gonna stab it into my window!"

I choked on the noodles, "You what!?"

"On my island, if you feel sad and lonely at night, you stab a sickle into your window!"

Kiibo started to sweat, "But you guys just break your windows? That's....odd."

"Hey, if it helps you feel better, it helps you feel better--open wide." He shoved another spoonful of noodles into my mouth. I chewed as Angie angrily explained, "Anyone who sees it can't just ignore it. They gotta go console that person. They gotta do anything they can to console them. And I do mean ANYTHING."

"I believe you... I believe you." Kiibo turned away.

"Anyways, whenever I'm feeling sad, I gotta have a sickle ready."

"Aw, Angie... If you feel lonely just come and find me. My door is always open for you." I clenched her hands. Her face sparked up with glee as she held onto the tiger.

      "Really?"

"You're so nice, Y/M. I bet you'll come to the console when I stab my sickle.

       "Of course."

"I wanna be consoled by you! Nya Hahahaha!" She threw her hands up in the air, almost falling off the bed completely. "I'll teach you all of my island's customs~"

        "Maybe after she gets better..."

"Why the wait? Let's start now! First, you're not allowed to feed children after midnight!--"

We stayed the entire afternoon until the night time announcement went off. Kiibo dragged out Angie with Rantaro trailing back behind the duo. He stuck his hands behind his head, giving me a wink, he softly closed the door.

Before going back to bed all I could think was, 'Is Kiibos ahoge missing?'
