{Time to Kick Ass}
Chapter 14
--------------------
Lightning engulfed the room, finding some sort of magnetic pull for it to be transported to the ground. Light blinds those who see.
"Use shock wave one more time!" A voice- confident and full of pain. More shocks of currents zapped from the Pokémon to the opposing challenger. A shrill cry bellowed in the depths of battle, fainting from extreme exhaustion.
"Oh, no!" Another voice cracked. Sadness filled the voice, but it was easily recovered with a hint of pride.
"You have done well, but you won't defeat me that easily. Go, Altaria!" A dragon Pokémon emerged into battle. The cloud-looking puff moved in sync with the blue flying dragon.
"Belan! Return! Emerald, go!" The opposer smirked, knowing they have the advantage, but Kira knew she would have to be quick if she doesn't want to be left out in the dust.
"Alright, Emerald, quickly use leech seed!" The seeds were shot out of Emerald and landed perfectly on Altaria. The opposer gasped, but chuckled lightly.
"You think you can win with that?" Kira didn't flinch nor looked away. With an astounding new confidence in her line of work now has given her a stronger impact.
"No, because Winona," the opposer known as Winona looked at Kira expectantly, "I know I will win. Emerald hyper beam now before she has a chance to call out a move!"
Emerald opened her mouth and a bright beam of light shot out, hitting Altaria. It was now very weak, but it was still flying. However, that didn't last as the little bits of energy it had was sapped away by the seeds Emerald had planted in it.
"Altaria is unable to battle!" a referee yelled out. "Kira and Emerald wins!"
The winning trainer breathed in and out shakily. A smile apparent on her soft features.
"Belan, return. You did an amazing job!" A single tear fell down her face. Winona walked up to her and handed her a small metallic pin-thing, a smile of congratulations on her face.
"You have earned yourself this badge, young one. You deserve it. I bid you good luck on getting the last two badges." Kira had never smiled so much at one time. Unexpectedly, she wrapped her arms around the gym leader, catching her off guard.
However, she could not resist to return the embrace. Silent tears fell for the both of them.
"Thank you..." Kira breathed, releasing the hold. Winona smiled softly, shaking her head.
"No, child. Thank you. You proved to me how well you overcome the battle and how well your relationship with your Pokémon has increased. Ever since Brawly showed me a video of how you battled, I waited for that day. Now, good luck with your journey ahead, Kira." She gingerly placed a light kiss on her forehead, giving her one final hug.
As soon as she got to the entrance, there were already several trainers waiting for their shot at the badge. Some were carrying all grass-types.
Good luck getting through. She thought as she made her exit through the door. Before she stepped out, she got a glance of the crew whom she spotted earlier before entering. Gulping the lump in her throat, she got out as quickly as possible.
They don't care, move on.
It was hard not to think about those that once treated you like you mattered.
Anyway, Kira made her way East of Fortree City, where the route to Lilycove lies. It was a rough terrain to navigate through.
Tall grass, rain, ponds, rivers, mud, but all in all, it was actually nice to see it all.
Up ahead, Kira notices the building for something. A sign to her right states that the Safari Zone is just up ahead. She grew excited.
"My first Safari Zone adventure!" She exclaimed to herself. She was about to make a run for it, but she stopped once she saw the attire of familiar colors.
Three or four figures stood around, obviously speaking to one another.
Kira got close enough just so she could hear them.
"Mt. Pyre is where the Red and Blue orbs hold, right?" Grunt one asked, looking at the other three.
Grunt two laughed. "Of course! Why, then, would Archie not drag us, huh? This is important if we want to expand the sea! And that incompetent Green is out ranking us, so we better step up our game."
"How? We still have that jerky girl on the loose." Grunt four snorted out, crossing his arms. The third grunt, female, just cackled and breathed deeply.
"You idiots, Archie has no use for her except what she posses. After he claims what's his, that girl is dead." Her eyes looked excited.
"What about Team Magma and their runt, Red?" Grunt one asked. They all looked at each other and shrugged.
"Archie can deal with him. He is nothing but a nuisance to us, and we shouldn't care." Grunt two snapped, but then they all placed their index finger in their ear then nodded to each other.
"Looks like Archie is in need of assistance of getting the orb." Grunt three yipped and yelled as they went to Mt. Pyre.
"Oh no.." With much vigor and adrenaline, Kira raced away to Mt. Pyre, only to be stopped by a raging body of water, and the awful aura there has been emitted in the air.
"Belan, come out!" Out of the Pokéball comes a shiny Pelipper. The tips of it's wings as well as the top of it's head is a green color.
"Belan, could you please get me to the entrance of Mt. Pyre?" The shiny Pelipper looked to the gravesite mountain and back at it's trainer, nodding.
"Thanks, girl." She got on and off they went to the entrance of Mt. Pyre. Upon entering, the aura was stronger.
Gravestones lay out the entirety of the tower. After walking down a hallway, Kira notices two different exits, but the one to her far left, she sees the all too familiar blue uniform swiftly heading out.
Luckily, they didn't notice her.
Briskly, Kira followed the grunt, leading her outside. As she went up, fog began to intervene her vision, causing her to squint.
Nonetheless, she continues to climb to the top, catching herself a Vulpix on the way.
Once she got to the top, her vision became somewhat clear, and now that she has a higher range, her eyes were met with the leader of Team Aqua, Archie, as well as the Dex holder helping, Green.
"Gary..?" Although quiet, it was heard.
"Ah, so you finally made it up here." Archie exclaimed, a smile, crooked, rest on his face.
Kira made an audible growl, having her hands in a tight fist, making her knuckled turn white. Deeply, she intook breaths which calmed her anger to a small percentage.
"What the hell are you doing?" Her voice slithered with hate and venom, the growl getting louder. "Why do you plan to awaken Kyogre?"
"My dear," he chuckled, "I merely want to overthrow Team Magma and expand the sea!"
"Idiot! You can never do that! It's not scientifically possible! To expand the vastness of the sea, you will need something like the Great Flood, which would never happen. You will also need a massive amount of water from an alienated source. The rain that falls here are the condensation from precipitation."
Archie and the others looked confused. Kira sighed.
"Basically, the rain that falls are from the water we have on this planet." Archie laughed.
"You amuse me, which is why we are going to end youd petty games right now. Apprehend her."
Two grunts advanced towards her, grabbing her arms, but Kira kicked their shins hard, causing them to grunt in pain. No pun intended.
Another male grunt stood in front of her, showing how tall he stands. she felt a bit small, but then had an idea. She smiled and quuckly jabbed where the sun don't shine, causing him to double over.
"Now, Archie. Stop this!" But Archie still had the bemused look on his face.
"You know, I actually am not going to. I'm going to let you suffer for a bit longer. Move out!" And with that, the whole Aqua group left.
Kira did not notice the old couple until the woman came up to her.
"Oh, dear, please forgive me, but the precious Red and Blue Orbs have been stolen. However, one team lect this behind. I'm sure you can make good use of it." She handed Kira what looks like an emblem. A Magma emblem.
"The Red and Blue Orb must never be separated, especially to awaken the legendaries..." Kira looked confused but says nothing. She stepped down from there and let out her shiny Pelipper.
"Belan, take me to Lavaridge." And off they fly.
"First, Team Magma, then Team Aqua. I mustn't let them awaken the beasts." Little did she know, her efforts were futile.
