"Error! Why did you destroy this AU?! They didn't do anything to you!" Ink's bright red eyelights were burning with rage as he firmly gripped his paintbrush. Error sighed annoyed, of course he wouldn't get a break, "CaN i JUsT rEMinD yOU tHaT I haVeN'T dEStroYeD iT yET?" Ink glared but took a deep breath calming himself, "Now is not the time to play smart with me Error. I'm just going to ask you this, the outcome greatly depends on your answer." Error already knew what he was going to ask, he always asks it whenever they fight. "I'VE toLd You tiME anD TIme AgAIn InK. I DEstrOY BeCAusE It'S MY joB." Confusion washed over Ink's face until he realized, yet again, that he's asked why he destroys many times before.

     Ink regained his posture and huffs in annoyance, "That's not a good enough reason Error! Ugh! Can't you see that I want to help you! You just need to tell me why and then maybe I can help you stop destroying and we can all be friends!" Ink froze when he saw Error smiling a little 'Could it be? I've finally gotten to him?'. His glee disappeared when he saw Error burst into a fit of laughter. "YoU MUst be JOkINg! ME? THe DeSTroYER of WOrldS? HaVIng FrIENds?" Tears were threatening to spill out of the destroyer's eyes, Ink assumed from laughter, but in reality it was from pain. Such a thought deeply hurt Error's nonexistent heart for it reminded him how he was truly alone. (Sure there was Blue and 'the Bad Sanses' but Blue wasn't allowed to see Error after he returned to Underswap and he was much too busy for any other interactions. The most he could do was say a quick hello and give food to Horror for him and his brother.) His ribs creaked and groaned in protest to Error's laughing fit as unacknowledged pain filled his chest.

     "ThAT's A grEAt JoKE iNK. REaLLY i-" Error was abruptly cut off by a furious Ink smashing his paintbrush into Error's skull. Bone marrow flooded into Error's eyes blinding him and leaving him more vulnerable. Error didn't feel like fighting anymore. He was tired, and hurting, he just wanted to lay down and die but Fate would not let him.

"How stupid can you possibly be to let your guard down?"

"This is why you can't have nice things glitch."

"Useless."

"Worthless glitch."

"Glitch."

"Glitch!"

"GLITCH!"

     Error finally snapped back into his senses. He was back in the antivoid. 'Was it all just a dream?' The throbbing pain in his skull and the bone marrow oozing out answered his question. The voices were no longer screaming as loud so he figured that he finished destroying the UnderFell copy and a few more. A sigh of relief escaped his lips (???) that he'd have some time to relax so Error decided to at least piece his skull fragments back together.

     It wasn't perfect and he had chips of bone fragments missing but he decided that it was in pretty good shape considering the time limit before he had to get back to work if he wanted to stay ahead. But surely he'd have enough time to close his eyes for a few minutes...Right?

~~~Elsewhere~~~

    
     A bombard of voices could be heard inside Dreamtale from Sanses, Papyruses, Asgores, and Toriels (but mostly Sanses) of all sorts, arguing with each other about Error and what to do with him.

     "I say that we give him mercy and just lock him up until he's sane and no longer a danger to others."

     "Or if we want to give mercy then we give him a mercy killing, he's too far gone now!"

     "Come on! Can we at least be considerate here? Why not send one of us to talk to him, befriend him, and get him to tell us why he's destroying and then go from there?"

     "As if Ink hasn't tried that already!"

     Ink sat at the table holding his head while Dream healed his various wounds. Eventually Ink got fed up with the yelling. "Enough! If you have an idea, say it one at a time and not scream it all at once." A few Sanses exchanged glances before one of the younger AU Sanses decided to speak up.

     "I get that my AU hasn't been up that long but Error has yet to destroy my universe so naturally I don't want him dead like the rest of you but maybe we can just give mercy?"

     Ink sighed, 'We probably shouldn't have brought them here until Error's destroyed their au.', "As much as I respect your peaceful wishes, we've tried mercy many times, Error is not interested. I wish we could."

     Red then spoke up. "How about what I suggested earlier? If we all want him dead but the softies want to give mercy then why not both? A mercy killing, we all team up together and take him down.

     Ink stopped to think about the possibilities, yes it would be dangerous and some monsters might be dusted but it could be a way to stop Error and rid the multiverse of destruction for good, and Ink can always just create another Error in his place but as a more passive monster that didn't destroy. He could even try and help to take Nightmare and his gang out! "That could actually work! Since he seems to come to newer AUs I could create an empty AU for us all to attack him in." The room then erupted with cheers from many of the monsters except for the few that did not wish for anymore death.

     Error awoke with a start from a sharp pain in his soul, he groaned in annoyance with Ink but was grateful to Dream that no nightmares came but instead a pleasant dream where he didn't have to destroy or kill but was instead liked and cared for by many monsters. He'd have to remember to thank Dream for his mercy and such a pleasant dream. Another sharp pain snapped him back to reality as the voices continued to scream at him to go destroy the new AU. He let out a glitchy sigh as he opened up a portal to the new AU and stepped inside but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw nothing. 'Did I make a wrong turn? No, this is an AU. But why is there nothing here?' His questions were answered when he took another step and red paint was flung at him but he dodged in time. There, Ink stood with his hand raised and many other monsters stood with their respective weapons drawn and at the ready.

     Then it all went to shit when Ink brought his hand down.
