Ch. 2

Emma had finished working. She got her jacket on and went to the docks.

She saw Regina there. She bit her lip. She debated if she should go over there or not. She sighed softly and slowly made her way over.

She sat down beside Regina. "How's Henry?" She asked quietly.

Regina looked up at Emma. For a moment they looked in each others eyes. Regina loved Emma's emerald green eyes and Emma loved Regina's chocolate brown eyes. She wished that she was able to tell Regina her feelings but she had a gut feeling that she shouldn't.

"Henry is doing fine. He is still sick but he will get better." Regina said.

Emma smiled softly. "That's good." She stated. Emma looked away into the distance, watching the waves hit the shore on the beach.

Regina looked at Emma with love in her eyes. Regina wanted Emma and she was afraid that Emma didn't want her back.

Regina sighed.
"Is something wrong?" Emma asked. There was dead silence for a couple seconds. Regina looked in Emma's eyes.

"I like you..." She mumbled. Emma arched a brow.

"You what?" She asked since she couldn't hear Regina.

Regina took a deep breath and bit her tongue. "I like you, Emma." Regina repeated.

Emma's eyes widen and her pulse increased. 'She likes me.' She thought. That thought repeated in Emma's mind for minutes. She turned to Regina. "Why?" She asked.

Regina shrugged and looked out to the ocean. "You are like the ocean. Wide and open sometimes. Powerful enough to over come anything in your way. You are strong, brave, cute, beautiful and amazing. Who wouldn't like you?" Regina asked.

Emma bit her lip keeping in tears. Emma didn't believe a word Regina said but she felt butterflies in her stomach. "Seriously?" Emma asked.

Regina nodded. Their eyes connected once again and Regina brought her face closer to Emma's then connected their lips. Emma felt something. Something she never felt with anyone. She felt loved and wanted. She couldn't stop the tears rolling down her face. Regina knew not to ask why she had been crying. Emma looked down.

The blonde took a deep breath and sighed. "You probably don't really like me. I mean you are way to gorgeous to even like me." She whispered.

Regina laid another kiss on Emma. "No, Emma. I really do. Ever since we met." She whispered back.

"Well then I shouldn't be afraid to tell you then but I am. I guess." Emma stated. She sighed and stared in Regina chocolate brown eyes. She could look in them forever. So perfect. So gorgeous. So in love with the women of her dreams only their love was forbidden. But Emma didn't care. Only with the cancer she couldn't be involved with Regina. She had to stay away. Emma quickly put her attention on the crashing waves upon the shore.
