Why do you miss me so?

Don't you see that I'm right here -

So why do you let your tears flow?

You should know I'll always be near.

When you held my hand,

I never really let go of you.

Even just a tiny grain of sand,

A part of me is still left on you.

The story of every memory

Is still written upon these pages;

But now the words are blurred

By your tears over the ages.

When you're lonely, call my name

I'm not as far as you think.

I never desired money or fame,

Just you and our poetry ink.

Why do you miss me so?

I know I never got to say farewell.

But when you're lonely, just say hello

I'll come down to you as an angel.
