When summer summons

I will answer to its call;

Watch me run and dance

Or if necessary, crawl.

The sun brightens my spirit

For I'm finally set free;

Free to enjoy the laughter

Of nature's true beauty.

The grass grows greener

Spring's blossoms mature;

The brook's water shines

And its ripples are so pure.

When summer summons

I will answer to its call -

And when evening dawns,

Fall asleep with cricket's lull.
