• Season Quartet •

a warm dawn

with mellow sun

bringing a spectrum

to the soft and cold

leaving a brush stroke

of bright and bold

across the riverbanks.

a shadowless noon

bearing yellowed fields

picked as strips of

sunshine's rays

leaving a trail of

daydream's gaze

descending to the tide.

a blazing sunset

burning in its eyes

shedding amber warmth

over elven woods

yet somehow leaves them

pulling on their hoods

as they dance in nature's flame.

colourless night

beneath snowy clouds

a yet crackling flame

in every frozen heart

watching the snow drift

and another quartet depart

a farewell concerto.

[[ This poem, I still consider it my greatest achievement when it comes to poems I've written! Which stanza/season was your favourite? And what season is your favourite in the real world? For me, I love spring and summer when I'm in Mexico, but I prefer winter and autumn when I'm farther north. (No snow or pretty fallen orange leaves down in Mexico :( ]]
