• Midnight Winds •
Steady breezes blow from the sky,
Leaving the freshly soaked trees dry.
It drags the wispy clouds overhead,
To travel across the world widespread.
It can nearly be seen through the dusty glow,
For so strong and powerful is its blow.
It moves through the sleeping trees,
And noisily rattles the yellowed leaves.
The grass becomes cold at its biting touch,
So that bare feet won't go outside much.
Even in this night so frigid and bitter
I sit warm by the fire as it tosses hot glitter.
