oh, these leaves
no two are quite the same
they might tremble when winds hit
but they all tremble together, holding fast
to the branches; the branches holding fast
to the sturdy trunk, maintaining the unity.
some stay, but not all remain; some go,
some must fall in those hard seasons.
but there are seasons of joy
new springs dawn, when
another sapling
is gently
planted
in the
rich soil
by its
worthy
..and proud creators who have scattered the seed to the ground..
and the roots
run much deeper
than we can even see;
so far under the surface
