I used to gaze into your face

Before you felt so misplaced;

Your brown eyes were twinkling

Instead of today's tears sprinkling.

Your eyes were brilliant stars,

But now they reflect your scars;

You let the luminescence burn out

When you felt one spark of doubt.

Tell me what I can do to again brighten,

Those eyes of yours that used to lighten.

Should this constellation your star lack,

To me the galaxy is all clothed in black.
